Chapter6: Talk, Kiss,and Make Up

Inu-Yasha entered the clearing to see Kagome. She was sitting at the base of a tree and was crying. Inu-Yasha began to walk towards her.

"Go away Inu-Yasha. Leave me alone."

"Kagome I'm sorry we just need to talk."

"I don't want to talk to you right now."

"Kagome…"

"Sit!"

Inu-Yasha met dirt. When he was able to rise again he decided to try and talk again.

"Come on Kagome, stop the tears. I just want to talk. I'm sorry about what I said. Don't be mad at me."

Kagome just looked at Inu-Yasha. He was still within the hole that his body made on impact. He had only brought his head up. Kagome began to laugh.

"What's so funny?"

Kagome pointed at him, but couldn't answer. Inu-Yasha simply waited for her to stop and answer his question.

"I'm sorry. Just seeing you like that was too funny. I guess that's one of the things I missed."

Inu-Yasha looked at her.

"You missed sending me into the ground at that stupid command?"

"Yeah, I know it sounds stupid, but I guess it gives me a secure feeling. It let's me know that I'm actually back here with you and the others."

"So, you did miss us."

"Yes, I missed Sango because she and I had become close friends. Miroku always gave us wisdom and a good laugh whenever he decided to be perverted. Shippo has always been like a little brother to me. I missed him a lot…" Kagome trailed off.

"What about me?"

"I missed you too. I missed you the most, but…"

"…But what?"

"I had Sora to take care of some of the loneliness. Sora has always been like you. She's normally loud and independent when she's awake. I never kept the truth from her. I told her about you every chance I could. Even though you weren't there, I could see the love Sora had for you. She always admired your bravery and courage. Sora once told me that she was going to be just like you were. She loves you so much Inu-Yasha although you were never there to once around to be with her," Kagome said before tears began to fall again.

Inu-Yasha pulled Kagome into a hug and held her as she cried again. He caressed her and soothed her until she stopped crying.

"I'm sorry Inu-Yasha. I'm being a big baby."

"Don't worry about it."

Kagome reached up and touched the rosary around his neck.

"Why did you put this back on?"

"It reminded me of you. I actually missed being thrown to the ground. I didn't think I would ever have that happen again, but I guess I was wrong."

Kagome giggled into Inu-Yasha's kimono.

"What's so funny?"

"You are."

Inu-Yasha and Kagome smiled.

"You want to know something else," Inu-Yasha asked.

Kagome looked at him waiting for him to continue.

"I missed having you here with me. I missed having you in my arms. I missed…" Inu-Yasha trailed off as he claimed Kagome's soft lips with his own.

It was heaven for both of them. They never wanted the kiss to end, but they eventually broke it so they could both breath. Kagome blushed and Inu-Yasha smiled.

"I think we should go back to the village before we do something dangerous," he said.

Kagome nodded. They both walked back hand and hand. Kaede was there to great them.

"I take it that all is well with ye both."

"Yes, we talked about a few things. We're Ok," Kagome said.

"Good, ye need to be at peace in order to hunt for the shards together. Young Sora is still asleep. Ye should get some rest yerselves if ye wish to start in the morning. You may stay in my home if ye desire."

Both Inu-Yasha and Kagome nodded. They went into Kaede's hut and went to sleep next to Sora. Both of them were awaiting the new adventure and surprises that their journey would bring.
