Chapter 6~Inuyashas Softened But Tortured Heart
Kagomes eyes were almost fully closed and her body was too weak to stand much longer let alone move. Her knees started to buckle.
Inuyasha screamed in horror- “NOOOOOOOO” as Kikyos arrow struck Kagome in the chest.
Kagome gasped as the arrow entered her body. Unconsciousness claimed her once more as she fell to the ground at her side.

Kikyo notched another arrow only to be interrupted by the sound of someone screaming “WIND TUNNEL”.
Kikyo looked back at the monk and the demon slayer who stood behind the monk . Kikyo had her normal cold expression- “ How dare you interfere. I will get what I want. It’s just a matter of time.”
The wind tunnel was threatening to pull her in, she called her soul snatchers to her aid as she escaped.
Sango looked at Miroku with fear in her eyes-“Kikyo... she has joined sides with Naraku?”
Miroku with a dark discusted look- “It appears so Sango.”
Sango now looking more worried-“The arrow we saw her shoot...who was its target?”
Miroku-“Come Sango we must hurry.”

Inuyasha was now by Kagomes side.
Kagome came too slightly. She saw her best friend threw her blurred vision. She whispered so lightly that Inuyasha hard a hard time hearing her-“At least I can die were I want to be.” and then she passed back out.
Inuyasha was brushing a hand along her forehead as he slowly rocked her- “Kagome, Kagome, please Kagome say something. Please don’t leave.....please don’t leave .....me....... Did he...........JUST DON’T LEAVE ME........” Inuyashas eyes filled with tears.
Kagomes lifeless body slowly rose and fell with each struggled breath and was beaded with a cold sweat. Her body was trembling uncontrollably.
Shippo was running threw the tall grass of the field dragging Kagomes bag behind him, he could see Inuyasha who was hovering over Kagome now.
Shippo screamed with a fear filled voice-“KAGOME”
Inuyashas teary voice filled with pleading and warning- “ Stay back Shippo, ...you shouldn’t see this.”
Shippo stops with a look of horror on his face and tears well up in his eyes- *Is Kagome dead? She must be if Inuyasha is acting this way and sounds like that. OH NO I LOST KAGOME NOW TOO.* Shippo starts crying uncontrollably.
Inuyasha takes off his Fire Rat kimono top as he looks at all the wounds that cover Kagomes body and the arrow that is stuck in her chest- * She’s barely breathing...she alive...that’s all that matters. Why...why did they do this to you... Kagome....and why does you scent smell so intoxicating now? Her physical treats have been incased slightly also. Her lips are fuller and darker. Her breasts are slightly fuller....* “What the hell did they do?”
Inuyasha thought back to Naraku on Kagome * He mated her.* his eyes widened with rage.
Inuyasha rapped her carefully in his kimono and picked her up in his arms.
He turn and walked into the field, he couldn’t look at the little fox as he whispered- “ She’s...alive Shippo. Tell the others... I am taking her back to Kaedes by myself.”
Shippo nodded his head whipping away the tears. He dropped Kagomes bag, and ran to Miroku and Songo who were now running threw the field that looked as if it were made of gold from the setting sun.
Miroku and Sango stop abruptly as they saw the lifeless body of their friend in the hanyous arms.
Inuyasha grabbed Kagomes bag and ran in the other direction, threw the field and into the forest.

Kagomes body was cold and the sun had set. Inuyasha had found a small clearing next to a hot spring that would make a nice camp. He laid Kagome carefully in the opening with her back pack next to her. Not wanting to be too far away from her, he gathered firewood from the edges of the forest. He went back and checked on Kagome and then started a fire next to her. He took Kagomes sleeping bag out and laid it on the ground. He dug around in her back pack and found her first aid supplies.
He removed the kimono from her body carefully to examine her wounds and the arrow that had struck her chest.- * There’s so much blood and if I remove this arrow she could die.*
Kagomes body began to glow again. Inuyasha moved back wearily.- “ Kagome” He whispered.
Kagome could only manage -“umm”, she raised her arm and placed her hand around the arrow and squeezed *Inuyasha* the arrow disappeared and Kagome fell into unconsciousness again.
Inuyasha looked at her astonishingly.
Inuyasha took off his white under kimono and picked Kagomes naked, blood covered, body up into his arms and carried her to the hot spring.
The moonlight was as bright as the night Kagome had been kid napped.
Inuyasha stepped steadily into the warm water with Kagome in his arms.
He slowly sat down in the water and laid Kagome across his lap.
He supported her head with his hand and rapped the other arm around her waist lightly.
His golden, worried eyes danced around her face.
He cupped a little water in his hand and held it over Kagomes lips, letting a little water run over the cut.
He looked down at her stomach as the blood began to wash away from her skin.
He rubbed his hand softly over her stomach cleaning off the remaining blood and sent of Naraku and Sesshomaru.
Then he cleaned her upper thigh with his hand. He noticed that it was Sess’s work and got a furious look on his face “I’ll kill you Sesshomaru.” *She doesn’t deserve this. How dare they.*
The cuts on her for arms had washed clean. He looked back at Kagomes face.
Her eyes were still closed.
His eyes drifted to the two holes left in her chest.
He moved the arm from around her waist and tilted her head back, he stroked her hair in the water.
Inuyasha pulled Kagoma into his arms again as he lifted them out of the water. * Naraku had to beat her nearly to death to mate her...and then what kill her? Did he do this to get to me? I failed her and now she has to live with the thought of him being her first. And what if she’s.....with that bastard’s offspring now.*
He started feeling dizzy and sick. *Seeing Kagome like this... effects me so deeply...because I . . I . . * “I’m so sorry Kagome.” He hugged her closer to himself rocking them back and forth slightly.

He walked to the campsite and laid Kagome on her sleeping bag, and got the first aid bandages. He had been trying to be a gentleman and evert his eyes from her privet areas. He bent Kagomes leg so it would be easier to bandage. He began bandaging her thigh, trying to avoid getting close to a certain area. But it was unavoidable.
Her intoxicating smell danced in his nostrils. His eyes began to wonder, * a thin strip of hair? ...Stop it stupid, don’t look.*(mental smack)
He worked his way up dressing her wounds. When he got to her chest he decided to rap her full upper body and lower torso down to her belly button, he knew she most likely had a couple of broken ribs.
He couldn’t help but think *She has a very beautiful figure.*, as he diverted his eyes to the star lite sky, while he rapped her breasts. *Finally done, that was torture.....She’s so..... alluring. But why? When ever she is in her human heat it bad but this is even worse. What in the hell is going on? She’s not suppose to be in heat yet.*
