The were tired and out of breath when Kagome came home. The once dull gray carpet is now a bright white, the dusty walls now shine with brilliance, there is now a bed with covers, a dresser, and a vanity set up for Kagome. “I hope she likes this room, I don’t think we can clean another one for her.” Inuyasha said, standing up from his resting place on the floor. “Yeah, I hope she does to son.” Inutosho stood up and clapped his hands together. “Look at what we can accomplish in just a short time if we work together.” Inutosho said and Sesshoumaru stood up. “I don’t think Inuyasha was helping, it was more like he was resting. I guess that human blood in him made him weak.” He laughed at the anger look on his brother’s face, he knew Inuyasha wouldn’t hit him while he was in Kagome’s new room.
Outside at the car….
“Kagome, help me out with your bags.” Mitsue said as she picked up a few of her bags. “We can get the boys out here to help out after we get these up to your room.” Kagome picked up a few bags and carried them into the house. Inuyasha came down the stairs. “Kagome! Come look at your new room!” He said excited and climbed back up the stairs. Kagome and Mitsue followed him. “Its right between mine and Fluffy’s bedroom.” He said pointing to the door. “You can paint the walls any color you want, and we can dye the carpets any color you want as well.” Inuyasha walked into the room, followed by Kagome and Mitsue. Kagome was already on the verge of tears, but when she saw the room she fell to her knees and hugged her clothes close to her and cried, it wasn’t noisy, but noticeable. Inuyasha took a step back from her. “Hey, um, don’t start to cry.” He looked around for something to put around her or something to stop the tears. “I’m sorry, I’m being stupid.” She wiped away the tears, but they were replaced immediately with more tears. “Its just, you guys are to nice, I don’t deserve this, you should have just kicked me to the curb as soon as I woke up.” She tried to get rid of the tears, but they just kept coming. Sesshoumaru and Inutosho edged out of the room, not wanting to get in the way. Mitsue put down the bags and whispered to the two leaving. “There are a few more bags in the car, go get them and bring them back up.” She walked over to Kagome and took the clothes out of her arms. Then she hugged her hard. “Don’t worry, we will take care of you till you want to leave. You don’t have to leave ever, we would rather you stayed with us.” She said in a soothing voice. Slowly Inuyasha inched over and put a hand on her back and started to rub her back in small circles, trying to sooth the crying girl. Kagome’s crying slowed to hiccups, then ceased. Mitsue pulled her away and Inuyasha ran out of the room, he was never good with emotional scenes. Kagome had cried herself to sleep. “Oh, poor girl. She is probably tired from our shopping trip.” She wiped Kagome’s face off with a cloth in her back pocket and whispered for Inuyasha to come back and help her get Kagome into the bed. Once that was accomplished Mitsue had Inuyasha put away her items. They put the many books on the dresser, the clothes in the closet, the many electronics and stuff they scattered around the room the best they could until they could get a desk for her to put them on, that and a book case.

12m….
Kagome woke up with a stuffy nose, and a head ach. She could tell that she was in a bead, with a comforter and a few blankets pulled up to her chin. Looking around, she noticed that she was in her new room. “What happened?” She asked, getting out of bed and walking over to the door. She needed to get to the kitchen or bathroom, maybe both. Her stomach growled and she blushed, even though there was no one around to hear it. How about the kitchen? She thought as she climbed down the stairs, then she realized that she had no clue as to where the kitchen was.
“Need something?” A voice asked from behind her as she walked into the living room and almost ran into the couch. “Yeah, I need to get aspirin, I didn’t want to wake any one up, so I’m trying to find it.” She turned around to face Inuyasha, then her stomach growled. “Guess your hungry to. Come on, I’ll get you something to eat.” He said, walking down the stairs and into the kitchen. Kagome followed his exact path so she didn’t run into any thing. When she got into the kitchen, Inuyasha had already put some left overs from dinner into the microwave and got out some jugs out, all of the jugs had something different to drink. “Do you want milk, strawberry juice, coke, tea, or Pepsi? I can also get out the cocoa and make some hot chocolate.” He asked, as if it were nothing for him to do this, to go out of the way for her and make her something to eat and drink. “Pepsi please.” She mumbled and herd the microwave go off. “Your foods done.” He said as he took out a plate with mashed potatoes, green beans, a biscuit, and some fried chicken. ((Yum, soul food.)) He put the plate on the table and got out the bread, some butter, and two glasses. He filled one glass with Pepsi and the other with coke and sat them on the table along with the bread and butter. “I woke up to get a late night snack.” He said, explaining why he was down here in the first place. “Sit down and eat, if you want some bread and butter, just get it.” He said as he started to make himself a sandwich. “One piece of bread, a piece of bologna, some mayo, ketchup, last nights fries, and another piece of bread.” He said under his breath as he made his sandwich. ((My dad eats this.)) He sat down with his sandwich and took a bite. Kagome pushed the green beans around on her plate. “Don’t you like it? Your not allergic to it, are you? I should have asked you if you liked it.” Inuyasha hastily stood up to fix her something else to eat. “No, its fine.” She said and took a forkful of her green beans and eats it. “I’m not allergic to it, and I love green beans, I was just wondering why you’re being so nice to me. As soon as I can I’ll get a job and move out, or I’ll work as a maid for you and live here.” She said, explaining what she would do. “You don’t have to move out, you can live here but work until your 18, mother wouldn’t let you go before then, and even when your 18 she will probably fight to keep you here.” He chuckled at the thought of his peace-loving mother fighting to keep Kagome here. “As for why I’m being so nice, you’re my friend, and friends gotta stick together. We are friends aren’t we?” He asked before taking a bite out of his sandwich. “Yeah, we are friends.” She took another fork full of green beans and eat it, and that was the last of the green beans.
After they were done eating, Kagome stood up. “I think I’ll work as a maid for you guys and clean up after you. I might move out, but if your mother wants me here I’ll stay, I don’t want her to have to fight. She is to nice to fight.” She picked up her plate and started to clean it off. “Not right now your not. If you can find your way to your room, head on up for bed, if not then just stick around till the mess is cleaned up.” Inuyasha said from behind her before he took advantage of his height and plucked the plate out of her hands. “I’ll just wait for you.” She said when she realized that he wasn’t going to let her do the dishes. She stretched and yawned. Inuyasha chuckled and he cleaned the last of the dirt off of the last dish he had to clean. He heard a light snoring sound coming from the wall and saw that Kagome had fallen asleep while standing up and leaning against the wall. He picked her up bridal style and started to carry her up the stairs. He laid her on top of her new bed and pulled the covers up to her chin and left the room. He went to bed and fell asleep.
9am Saturday morning…
“Kagome dear, wake up. Its morning.” Mitsue shook Kagome slightly and watched as the girl slowly rubbed sleep from her eyes. Kagome sat up and said groggily, “What time is it?” Her words slurred together slightly because she was still half asleep and was oblivious to what was happening. “Its morning time, I thought that you would like to come eat break fast with us.” Kagome shook her head. “I’m not hungry, thanks for the offer. Can I just stay up here for a while?” Mitsue nodded and left the room. Kagome stood up and stretched, she wondered how she had gotten to her bed but then realized that Inuyasha had probably carried her up here. She took out a new shirt and a pair of blue jeans, the shirt is only a solid blue. Next she took out a rather large bag, from one of yesterday’s stores and started to put clothes in it. Next she put some books, a few small electronics and some games in it. She looked for some of her music and put it in the bag to. She then put the small bag with her special items in it inside the bag and opened the window. She saw that there was a tree pretty close to the window and put the bag on the thick branch then crawled out after the bag. She climbed down the tree, slipping several times because of dew and the weight and awkwardness of the bag. She ran as fast as she could to her house’s remains and noticed that the basement was still there. She quickly covered herself with ashes, why? She didn’t know, it just felt right to do it and climbed down into the basement, which had survived along with most of the ground level floor. She would stay here until they took back the land, or she could get an apartment. She could sell some of the electronics if the need for money was bad and she would work.

It looks like Kagome is running away, I wonder why she would do that. I’m sorry it took me a while to get this out, it wasn’t even as long as the last one. I just got a BIG case of writer’s block, and pretty sick. Please review, even though I know that you still read this story, I would like some feedback.
