AN: Sorry for taking so long guys! I really am but I got a new computer in my room and needed to transfer all my stuff over. I'll try and get another few chapters out after this one as fast as possible to make up for it! Please still vote for pairing… I will only be doing the highest vote in this story… but, the second highest will get dibs in the next story! So then… hopefully I can make a majority of my readers happy.

Chapter Five: Anger Management

Kagome stomped angrily up to her room dragging Inuyasha with her before pushing the door opened to her room and sitting on her bed. "WHAT A … KAMI!" Kagome looked up and saw Inuyasha looking at her with a confused look on his face. "WHAT?"

Inuyasha just shrugged and pointed to his throat. "Right…You can't talk." Inuyasha nodded a bit and smiled when he heard Kagome's stomach growl. He raised an eyebrow and mouthed the word 'hungry'.

"Now that you say that I am hungry. Will you walk me down to the kitchens? I can get you some food as well." Kagome got off her bed before going to her closet and getting out a lighter kimono and turning away from Inuyasha. "Can you help me undo my obi Inuyasha? I can't do it by myself."

Inuyasha amber eyes widened. She wanted him to undress her? How could she say that so innocently?

Maybe it was innocent. A voice echoed through his head and he quickly shook it off not wanting to hear anymore since conversations with his inner voice usually ended up with him getting into some trouble for yelling and breaking something. He moved over where Kagome was standing and started to undo her obi before his hands shaking slightly. He made a sort of strangled sound to signify he was done as he handed the obi to Kagome.

"Arigatou Inuyasha." Kagome smiled at him before stepping behind the screen and changing into something more comfortable. After changing she stepped out from behind the screen. "Are we ready to go then?" She watched as Inuyasha vigorously nod his head and she smiled and hooked her arm with his. "Shall we be going then? I bet you are as hungry as I am since you left the hall early."

Inuyasha nodded and followed Kagome as she walked to the kitchen and pushed the doors opened. He tensed and put his hand on Tessaiga as a giant ball of fur leapt up at Kagome.

"KAGOME!!!!" The little voice squeaked sounding kind of muffled since the face of the small creature was pressed into Kagome's kimono. "I'm so glad you came to visit Kagome! I have a present for you because it's you sixteenth year!"

"Oh arigatou Shippou-chan!" Kagome smiled and put the small youkai kitsune on the floor as he lead her further into the kitchens Inuyasha following behind her. "What is it Shippou-chan?" The kitsune turned and smiled at her before opening a door to a small room.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAGOME-SAMA!" Kagome squealed in delight. "This is absolutely incredible! I can't believe you went to all this trouble for me!" She smiled at the beautifully decorated cake on a small round table and then looked up to the kitchen staff as well as Sango and Miroku. "ARIGATOU! So… who wants cake?"

Sesshoumaru growled as he stormed out of the hall the guests' whispers insulting his sensitive ears. Did they not know he could hear everything they said? Angrily he made his way up to Kagome's bedroom bursting inside the door hitting the wall with a loud crash. He cracked his knuckles the poison from his claws dripping onto the floor before making his way over to her private spring slashing the door with his claws. She wasn't there either? Where was she? No matter… This, Sesshoumaru will wait for her and when she comes she will pay for hitting me.

Kagome sat back in her chair Shippou happily in her lap. "That was delicious Shippou-chan and everybody! Thank you so much." She smiled and turned towards Inuyasha who was still stuffing his face. "Inuyasha if you eat too much you'll get fat and look like a pig. She laughed as Inuyasha snorted before standing up and setting Shippou down on the floor. "I'm going back to my room okay Inuyasha? You can stay here and stuff your face all you want." She saw Inuyasha nods and Kagome thanked each one of her cooks as well as everyone else who passed by as she left the kitchen.

Kagome made her way up to her room stopping to talk to a few people on the way, so she took a bit longer then expected. She pushed the door to her room stretching as she walked into her room. She stopped and looked up mid stretch and glared at Sesshoumaru who was at the moment taking up residence on her bed his long fluffy ivory tail… Kagome shook her head. Not important! She frowned slightly and opened her mouth to speak and realized she had completely forgotten what she was going to say.

"YOU KNOW I WAS GOING TO YELL AT YOU!" She wrinkled her nose. "But I can't remember what I was going to yell about! So… I'm just going to say sorry for slapping you."

Sesshoumaru heard the girl enter her room and chose to stay facing away from her. He knew she was talking to him but he really wasn't listening. He inwardly smirked as he turned his head to the girl and yawned tiredly. "What did you say girl? I wasn't listening to you run your mouth."

He watched as she blinked at him looking confused her cheeks turning that very attractive pinkish tinge before she looked away her scent changing. He knew she was very pissed off with him now that much would be obvious even to the densest human.

Kagome glared at him. "You ignorant!" She growled in frustration before sitting on her bed beside Sesshoumaru. She couldn't think straight not with the fluffy tail just waiting to be touched and petted. "Sesshoumaru ?" She could feel her face heat up her blush rising on her cheeks. He inclined his head slightly signalling he was listening. "May I …umm… pet you tail? Please?"

What did she ask of this, Sesshoumaru?

She asked if she could pet your tail… You should let her I bet it would feel good.

Go away this, Sesshoumaru does not need your help.

He heard her asking him something her head tilted slightly to the side her bright eyes looking at him unblinking. "I suppose girl. But be quick about it." He knew she was smiling her moods changed so quickly, although the girl didn't seem to notice and it didn't bother him since he preferred her when she wasn't yelling at him at the top of her lungs.

Soft, silky, fluffy and warm are the words Kagome would use to describe Sesshoumaru's tail. Kagome smiled to herself as she ran her fingers through the silky fur. It was beautiful and clean despite the ivory colour of the fur. Giggling Kagome looked up at Sesshoumaru whose eyes were closed and she heard a faint rumbling in his chest. Is he purring? Smiling she continues to pet his tail massaging it gently.

Sesshoumaru closed his eyes this was so relaxing. What was this girl doing to him? He felt more calm and relaxed then he ever had, even when he was sleeping. Speaking of sleeping… That's seems like a good idea. His eyelids felt heavy as Sesshoumaru felt sleepy as he leaned back onto the many pillows gracing Kagome's bed.

Turning her head slightly Kagome turned her attention to the now sleeping taiyoukai on her bed. He fell asleep. He must still be a little bit weak. She smiled as she crawled over to her side of the bed. "Night Sesshoumaru, sweet dreams." Cuddling up into his tail Kagome fell into a deep sleep.

Inuyasha paced in his room, which currently looked like a tornado has viciously blown through it. He had gone directly to Kagome's room after his cake had settled and had a drink with Miroku, well a few drinks he needed to let off some steam. She was there… with him… in her bed. Not naked of course, he shuddered, but cuddling and close and ….. and it looked like Sesshoumaru was protecting her. That was HIS job, not his brother's job. HIS. Inuyasha let out a feral growl. Of all the damn people and youkai in the world… It was Sesshoumaru. Deciding that he would talk to Kagome about it tomorrow he snuggled under the covers of his bed.

The next morning it was still dark out when Kagome woke up. Not because it was early but because of the storm that had found it's way to her father's lands. The day was bleak and it meant she couldn't show Sesshoumaru around like she had wanted to, time to make another plan. Usually she would just talk with Inuyasha all day and play a game of cards or whatnot to pass the time and soon she would bathe and go to bed early. But, she had a guest and it was her duty to keep him entertained. Well, not only that but usually when youkai got bored they'd fine something… fun to do. This in her opinion usually consisted of blood and guts splattered against the walls or grass in some cases. Therefore not only did she need to keep the taiyoukai entertained she needed to keep him from slaughtering everyone in the castle.

Slipping out of her bed Kagome went behind her shoji to change into something different. She really didn't think anyone would appreciate it if she walked around smelling like Sesshoumaru. Especially Inuyasha, he was the jealous type and she knew that. Especially since he had almost killed Hojou the first time he met him after he had kissed her hand in greeting. Then there was that time Kouga had said she was 'his woman' Inuyasha had almost ripped his head off ignoring the fact Kouga was a Prince.

Stretching and yawning Inuyasha lay on his bed facing the ceiling. I should get up… Kagome's probably at breakfast I should go visit her. Maybe we can go for a walk in the gardens later. Turning to face his window Inuyasha scowled his brows furrowing. So much for the walk chikuso, more sleep is in order then.

More then anything Inuyasha hated the rain. It reminded him of the day his okaasan and otousan died. It had been raining that day… raining cats and dogs his mother had said. He could never forget that day was etched into his mind. It wouldn't let him forget. Ever.

Sesshoumaru: *rolls his eyes* Only by two votes Inuyasha… you baka.

Miroku: Oi… Sango!

Sango: Hmm?

Miroku: I bet you Inuyasha wins

Sango: No way! Sesshoumaru will totally steal Kagome's heart!

Miroku: *shakes his head*

Sango: You're on then!

Miroku: Excellent. If I win I get to give you a kiss!

Sango: And if I win… I get to…

Kagome: Kiss him ^^

Sango: Okay… wait no! HEY! You're conspiring against me!

Miroku and Kagome: Well, duh!!

Chikata: Heh….see you next time…

Shippou: Will Miroku and Sango actually kiss depending on the vote?
