It has been a month since the day I saved Megumi, a month since I left her to die. Since that day I have slaughtered and killed every demon that came across my path not caring if they hadn't attacked me or if they did. All I knew at the time was that I had let my emotions out and it was unacceptable. Since the day I was betrayed, I have trained my self to the point of death, perfecting my fighting skills, learning how to control my emotions. I trained night and day, month after month, year after year until I had mastered every ability that I had. And all of that training went down the hill; because I let my emotions get the best of me over a simple child. Sighing I stopped at the edge of the crop field, the sound of the villagers busily working, the laughter of children rang throughout the air. Closing my eyes I felt it, I felt the drawing of my soul. Snapping my eyes open I snatched the arrow quickly before it struck me. Glancing from the arrow to the person before me I inwardly smirked. "Hello Kikyo. Long time no see?"

"Indeed it has been what three years since the completion of the Jewel, three years since the day you were betrayed." I could hear the silent mockery in her voice as she spoke.

"No need to rub it in Kikyo. I know exactly how long it's been and I know exactly what you're getting at," walking towards her I glared down at her, the scent of death all over her, "Your time is running up Kikyo. You're getting old."

"Shut up Kagome or should I say Airy the Demon Hunter of the Night," Kikyo chuckled watching the annoyance flicker into my eyes, "Come now young one I have things I wish to discuss with you." Following her I could hear the whispered voices of the villagers as I passed them. Snickering to myself I knew why they talked. I was wearing a very revealing outfit which made me look like a concubine. I wore black leather boots which ended just below my knees, my fighting out fit resembling that off the Demon Exterminators except the pants legs were cut off above my knee, the sleeves were completely gone, the neck line going down to my stomach revealing my muscles and my scars from many battles that I have been in. Of course I looked like a prostitute dressed the way I looked, but I didn't care it was comfy and very easy to fight in. Grinning for once I showed of my pearl white teeth making the women scowl in disgust, the men drooling with lust. THUNK. Looking up I growled at Kikyo as she held her bow.

"What the hell was that for god damn it?" I snapped rubbing my head.

"Quit goofing off and hurry up. I don't like the idea of you antagonizing the men and women here." Laughing in my head I could see the amusement flash into her eyes only to disappear the next moment.

"Alright, alright I'm coming. Jeez grumpy old woman." Mumbling under my breathe I followed Kikyo into her hut.

"Sit down and let me explain why I wish to talk to you…ISAID SIT." Kikyo screamed, at me as I stood by the fire. Glaring at her I sat down with a thud, my eyes never leaving her. "I would like to talk to you about the Shinko-no-Jewel."

"What about it?" I replied glaring at Kikyo.

"InuYasha and the others have made their wish upon the Jewel Kagome." Looking at Kagome I looked for any sign of shock or wonderment, but all I say was the face of boredom.

"So they've made their wish that's not my problem."

"Oh but it is dear Kagome it is. For you see the wish they made was that they were able to obtain the power of the gods…the very powers in which all Miko's receive when they are born." Sighing I looked at Kikyo's pale face, her brown eyes staring at me, her raven black hair swaying with the gentle breeze which flowed through the windows.

"What does it have to do with me Kikyo?" I snapped loosing my patience.

"You must kill them now Kagome or the world shall fall into darkness." Snorting in distaste I stared into the fire.

"If you haven't noticed Kikyo this world already has fallen into darkness…while you keep this village safe with your barrier people outside are being killed and slaughtered," Standing up I headed toward the door stopping as I lifted the flap, "and don't worry about them, I shall kill them in time." Stepping out of the door, the flap swishing shut. She stayed all nice, safe, and cozy in her barrier never knowing what was happening beyond the barrier. Her barrier kept outsiders out and keep the villagers in, no one got in or out without her knowing. Reaching the river I could feel the eyes of the villagers on me, their whispered words echoing through out the sky. Sighing I turned around and looked at the villagers.

"You should be glad that you have Priestess Kikyo here to protect you without her you would be dead by now." Briskly turning away I trudged through the water, hearing them gasp in shock and in anger. Smirking to myself I climbed out of the river the barrier opening to let me pass through.

"May the gods help you High Priestess Kagome, may the gods help you." Kikyo whispered as she watched Kagome pass through the opening she had created. She had changed, changed greatly that was for sure she was no longer the carefree loving person she once was. She was cold and distant; she never let anyone in her heart, not after her betrayal, not after the death of her pup. Sighing I walked back to my hut thinking about Kagome and praying to the gods that she would destroy the darkness…before the darkness destroyed her completely.

"InuYasha?" Sango smiled slyly.

"What do you want Sango?" Grinning evilly Sango smacked InuYasha on the head with her Higratsui.

"God damn it Sango I'm going to hurt you." InuYasha yelled as he watched Sango leave the room.

"Hhhmmm I think I'll go and accompany Sango" Miroku grinned watching Sango swing her hips seductively.

"Why do you even bother with that whore?" Grumbled Kouga under his breathe but Miroku had heard it.

"What did you say?" Miroku questioned holding Kouga by the shirt as he dangled him above the ground. Coughing Kouga replied.

"I didn't say anything…honest I didn't." Dropping Kouga with a loud thud, Miroku stalked out the door his eyes bleeding red with desire. Gasping for air Kouga glared at the retreating figure. Shaking his head InuYasha walked over and lifted Kouga off the ground. Turning around InuYasha looked at Sesshomaru who stood silently in the shadows. "Have they found her yet?" Emerging from the shadows Sesshomaru shook his head.

"No they haven't found her. I've sent the bitch Kagura to go and look for her since she is good at tracking, but I highly doubt that she will find her."

"God damn it." InuYasha seethed punching the wall leaving a hole.

"Please refrain from destroying my house little brother." Sesshomaru stated coldly as he stared intensely at InuYasha.

"Yeah yeah alright I will." InuYasha grumbled settling down into the sofa.

"In order to insure or strength and power we have to find her and claim her, but she is so fucking hard to find," Kouga replied flinging the scroll at Sesshomaru who easily caught it, "That is a list of all the miko's that we have caught. None of them are her. It seems are soon to be mate has completely disappeared." BANG, BANG, BANG. Looking up InuYasha walked over to the doors pulling it open revealing a struggling miko who fought to get free of the soldier who held her bound.

"What is the meaning of this Li?" Sesshomaru questioned.

"This bitch here wiped out half of the third regiment and wiped out all of the first and second regiments." Li replied his tail twitching in annoyance as the woman fought him. Walking over Kouga knelt down and grabbed hold off the girls face.

"Why, hello Kikyo," Smirked Kouga as he recognized the woman before him, "Long time no see. The last time I saw you was at the battle with Naraku. Shouldn't you be dead?" Pulling away from Kouga's grasp Kikyo spat in his face. Wiping the saliva off his face Kouga turned and smiled at the others, SMACK. Standing up Kouga looked at the mark he had left on Kikyo's face, all the while running his claws through her hair.

"Take her to the concubine chambers Li," InuYasha replied a goofy grin on his face, "She needs to be taught a lesson." Bowing Li dragged a struggling Kikyo through the halls.

"I'll kill you InuYasha. I swear on my grave I shall kill you." Kikyo hollered as they turned the corner.

"It seems her barrier has fallen," Sesshomaru stated sitting behind his desk, "Tell the soldiers to go and kill any of the survivors that survived the attack, but make sure you keep it down. I don't want our future mate to know what we are up to." Grinning at Sesshomaru Kouga stalked out of the room heading towards the training grounds were the soldiers were.

"She will soon be ours little brother and when she is we shall rule the world. We as the kings, she as our queen."

"Our queen?" InuYasha mumbled grinning like an idiot, "You better run Kagome because we're coming after you."
