As Inuyasha Tsurubuchi paced the floor of Tokyo General Hospital he was getting angrier and angrier.
'Fuckin' paparazzi!' he thought.
Kagome had been a pop singer. She gave up singing when she found out she was pregnant with their first child. She didn't want to have to keep up the grueling hours and tour schedule with a baby to care for. As she said the baby comes first. 'What was that baka thinking trying to take her picture at high speeds?' Inuyasha wondered.
According to witnesses the paparazzi were trying to take a picture of Kagome as her, Rin and Sango drove down the street when they accidentally sideswiped the car. They were trying to get close enough to get the perfect picture and ended up causing an accident.
Inuyasha was just glad that Rin, Sesshomaru's wife, and Sango, Miroku's wife, had been there in the car with her. They had all gone shopping for baby clothes.
Kagome had been in the back seat. Rin had been driving and Sango had been in the front passengers seat. They were all banged up pretty badly. Rin's left hand was broken from the airbag and Sango had a concussion from hitting her head against the window. Unfortunately this car model didn't come with side airbags. But Kagome... Kagome was who he was worried about. His precious, beautiful sweet, pregnant Kagome was knocked out and bleeding from a head wound.
Inuyasha paced back and forth across the waiting room. Sesshomaru and Miroku each sat in a chair watching him as he became more and more agitated. They were all waiting for an update on their wives conditions.
"What's taking them so long?" Inuyasha asked.
"Stop pacing little brother," Sesshomaru said. "This will not help the girls."
"Yes, Sesshomaru is right," Miroku agreed.
Just as Inuyasha was about to offer a response Doctor Shippo walked out of the Emergency Room and into the waiting room. He called out the name, "Tsurubuchi?"
Inuyasha flew over to the doctor. Sesshomaru and Miroku weren't far behind.
"Which Tsurubuchi? There's two of us." Inuyasha told him.
The doctor looked down at the records in his hand. "Kagome. Is that your wife?"
"Yes."
"I'm here to give you an update on her condition." The doctor looked at Sesshomaru. "If you're the other Tsurubuchi you can go inside and get an update on your wife too."
"No, I want to stay with my brother and friend until I know the conditions of their wives." Sesshomaru said.
"Then I'll tell you how your wife is doing first. Your wife is Tsurubuchi Rin correct?"
Sesshomaru nodded.
"She's got a broken wrist and is getting a cast put on. She should return in three weeks for another x-ray. She can make an appointment with her doctor for that when she leaves today. You can go see her now if you'd like."
Inuyasha looked over at his brother. "It's okay. Go."
As Sesshomaru disappeared into the Emergency Room Miroku asked, "May I go see my wife as well?"."Her name?"
"Sango."
"Ah, yes. She has a concussion. She'll have to stay overnight for observation. You can go see her, though she's understandably a little dazed."
"Okay, thank you."
Miroku followed after Sesshomaru. Inuyasha took a deep breath and turned to face the doctor. Now was the moment of truth. The moment when he would find out how bad his pregnant wife was hurt. Hopefully it was nothing too serious.
