“Inuyasha? Inuyasha wake up,” Kagome said shaking Inuyasha’s shoulder.
“Ohhh… Ka-Kagome,” Inuyasha continued to moan.
“INUYASHA!” she yelled.
Inuyasha suddenly jumped up knocking the chair he was sitting over. He looked around panic stricken. “What?! What?!” His eyes landed on her as he started to bombard her with questions desperately. “Are you in labor? Are you in pain? Do you want me to go get the doctor?”
Kagome held out her hands to stop him. “Slow down Inuyasha. Breathe. I’m fine. I’m not in labor or pain and I don’t need a doctor,” Kagome told him laughing a little.
He took a deep breath to calm himself. “Okay. I’m okay.” He looked back over at her and asked, ”Why did you wake me up?”
“Baka… You were moaning my name in your sleep. What were you dreaming about anyway?”
Inuyasha blushed an impressive shade of red. “I… I’d rather not talk about it right now.”
Kagome continued to smile at him when she just so happened to look down and see that Inuyasha had a full blown erection. Her mouth dropped open as she looked him up and down not believing what she was seeing.
“You have GOT to be kidding me, right?! How the hell can you think about sex at a time like this?!” she asked.
Still blushing Inuyasha said, “I wasn’t thinking about it. I… I was dreaming about it. To be more specific I was dreaming about our first time together.”
He quickly turned around and picked up the chair off the floor. When he looked back at Kagome he noticed that she was blushing too.
‘Damn… She looks even more beautiful when she blushes,’ he thought.
“Ha ha. You’re remembering it too,” he taunted.
Inuyasha sat back down and took her hand. It still had an IV in it. He held her hand and kissed it softly.
“Do you know how much I love you and our babies, Songbird?” he asked.
“Not as much as I love you,” Kagome replied.
“And then some,” they said in unison. They both started to laugh.
“Oh!” Kagome winced.
Fighting down the rising panic welling within him Inuyasha asked, “What is it? Is something wrong?”
Kagome shook her head. “No. Everything’s fine. It’s just that one of the babies kicked.” Still holding his hand she placed it on her swollen belly. “Do you feel it, babe?”
“Yeah…” he said in awe. Ever so lightly he laid his head on her pregnant belly. His arms wrapped around her and held her to him. He closed his eyes and sighed contentedly.
She looked down at her husband and ran her hands through his long, tangled hair. It was getting knotted. His clothes were a mess too.
“Inuyasha… Please go home and get some rest. You can’t go on like this. I’ll be fine.”
Inuyasha slowly lifted his head and looked Kagome in the eye. “No.”
“Why?”
“Because when I walk out of this hospital I’m leaving with two babies and you.”
“Don’t be silly, Inuyasha. We don’t know if I’m even going to have the babies yet. Besides, you haven’t really eaten anything, have you? You haven’t showered either. Come on, babe. You need your rest.”
“Fuck no! I’m not leaving you. Not now, not ever so you’d better get used to it. You’re my whole world Kagome. When Sesshomaru came to my office and told me what happened I nearly died. I almost got into two accidents myself trying to get to you. So don’t you dare tell me to leave you. I love you.”
“Oh, Inuyasha,” she said through the tears welling in her eyes. “I love you too.” She took his face into her hands and kissed him deeply.
When they broke apart from their kiss Inuyasha placed his forehead against hers and looked her in the eye.
“How about I do this? I’ll call Sesshomaru and see if he and Rin can stop by and bring me a change of clothes. I’ll take a shower too when they come. Then I’ll go get something to eat. Knowing Rin she’d probably make me eat again anyway.”
“Okay. Then do it NOW. You stink,” Kagome laughed.
Inuyasha laughed along with her.
As their laughter died down Inuyasha looked down at his watch. He saw that it was eight-thirty in the morning. He knew Sesshomaru woke up around seven and left for the office at nine so he could still catch him.
“I’m going to go to the nurses’ station to call Sesshomaru. I can’t use my cell phone in here. Are you going to be okay for a bit?” he asked.
Before Kagome could answer an orderly came in with two breakfast trays.
“Good morning Mr. and Mrs. Tsurubuchi. The nurses’ thought that you would like to have breakfast together.” the orderly told them.
“Thank you Mister… Mister… I’m sorry. I don’t know your name,” Kagome said.
“Oh, you’re welcome Mrs. Tsurubuchi.” The orderly placed both trays on a table that could roll over Kagome’s bed. “My name is Shoga, Yomiuri ma’am,” he announced with a smile. “If you need anything else let me know, all right?”
“Sure thing, Yomiuri,” Inuyasha agreed.The orderly left the room. Inuyasha turned to Kagome and said, “I’m going to call Sesshomaru. I’ll be right back. Okay?”
“Okay,” Kagome replied lifting one of the covers off the breakfast plate.
Inuyasha walked out of the room and headed to the nurses’ station to use the phone. The nurse on duty looked up at him with a smile.
“Hi. Can I use your phone?” Inuyasha asked.
“Sure, Mister Tsurubuchi. Just dial nine first then the number,” she explained as she handed him the phone.He did as he was told and dialed the number. On the third ring Rin picked up the phone.
“Moshi, Moshi,” Rin said into the receiver.
“Hey, kiddo.”
“Inuyasha? What’s wrong? Is Kagome okay?”
“She’s fine. She’s having breakfast as we speak.”
Rin sighed with relief. “Why are you calling then?”
“Rin… You wound me. Don’t you want to hear from your favorite brother-in-law?” he teased.
“Oh, you know I just live to hear your voice.”
“I know you do.”
“Seriously though. What’s up?”
“I was wondering if I could talk to Sesshomaru before he leaves for the office.”
“Oh… He’s not going in today. But he is awake. Hold on. I’ll go and get him.”
“Okay.”
Inuyasha heard Rin call out to Sesshomaru to pick up the phone. Soon he heard a click as Sesshomaru picked up the phone.
“Hello, little brother. How is Kagome doing? Do you need anything?”
“Kagome is doing fine. And yes as a matter of fact I do need something. I was wondering if you could go to my house and get a change of clothes for me and some toiletries. I’m going to take a shower here at the hospital.”
“All right. I’ll bring Rin with me too so that she can stay with Kagome.”
Inuyasha suddenly became suspicious. He realized that Sesshomaru was holding something back from him. He could feel it in his gut and hear it in his brother’s voice.
“Sesshomaru, is everything okay?” Inuyasha wondered.“No… Not really.”
“Well, are you going to tell me what’s wrong or not?”
“No. I’ll be at the hospital in about an hour. I’ll tell you after you finish your shower.”
“Um… Okay. I’ll see you in an hour then.”
“Yes, you will.”
“All right. Bye.”
“Bye.”
They both hung up the phone at the same time. Inuyasha stared down at the white telephone and wondered, ‘Now what was that all about? I wonder what’s going on.’
He sighed and made his way back to Kagome’s room. As soon as he entered he saw that she was eating his breakfast.
Kagome looked up when she heard someone pull back the curtain. She saw that it was Inuyasha.
“Sorry baby. I was just so hungry. Remember I’m eating for three now,” she said.
Inuyasha shook his head and chuckled. “That’s all right. I’ll go to the cafeteria and get something later.”
“Oh! Bring me something too! I want some strawberry ice-cream, a couple of chocolate donuts and a fish sandwich with a lot of ketchup.”
“Please tell me you’re not going to eat all that.”
Kagome pointed a finger at him with a smile. “Listen Mister… Me and YOUR kids want strawberry ice-cream, chocolate donuts and a fish sandwich with a lot, and I mean a LOT of ketchup! Okay?!”
“Okay, okay. You and the kids will always get what you want,” he told her. He walked over to her and gave her a quick kiss.
Kagome wasn’t satisfied with just that small kiss, though. She wanted more of him. Before he could pull away from her lips she grabbed the back of his head and deepened the kiss.
When he moaned Kagome took the opportunity to thrust her tongue into his mouth hungrily. She wanted to taste him.
Inuyasha was absolutely loving this. He could feel his erection coming back full force.
Once they pulled apart for air Inuyasha noticed that Kagome was smiling.
Still panting Inuyasha asked, “What was that for? Not that I’m complaining, mind you.”
“For taking such good care of me and loving me. I just wanted a taste of you. It’s not always food I want.”
“Songbird, if we keep this up we will make love right here and now and fuck anybody who comes in to interrupt us,” Inuyasha said with a laugh. Though he was laughing he was quite serious.
Kagome kissed his lips again. After a minute she worked her way down his jaw and neck. “Did you get a hold of Sesshomaru before he left for work?” she asked as she continued to kiss him.
“Mmm… Y-yes… I… I did… Kami, I love your kisses,” he whispered practically melting in her arms.
She stopped kissing him and pulled back a little to look at him. “Is that all you love?”
Taking Kagome’s hand Inuyasha placed it on himself and allowed her to feel the erection she had created through his pants. “You tell me.”
Kagome laughed. “Inuyasha, we can’t do that here.”
“Then we better stop kissing before Sesshomaru and Rin walk in on something that would scar them for life.”
She laughed some more. “So, Rin’s coming too?”
“Yeah. They said they’d be here within the hour.”
“Good. I wanted to see her. I want to know how she’s doing,” Kagome told him with a yawn.
“Why don’t you take a nap and I’ll wake you up when they come?” Inuyasha offered.“Okay,” she said between yawns.
Inuyasha leaned over and kissed her forehead. He then kissed her stomach. Kagome smiled and quickly fell asleep.Just as Kagome was falling asleep the orderly, Yomiuri, came back in to get the breakfast trays.
“How was breakfast?” Yomiuri asked.
“I wouldn’t know. My wife ate it while I was on the phone.”
The orderly laughed and shook his head. “She sounds like my wife when she was pregnant with our first one. Rumiko kept saying ‘I’m eating for two’, you know? I told her two armies you mean. I swear the food bill doubled. I really didn’t mind though. We had a healthy baby boy.”
Yomiuri took out his wallet and showed a picture of his son, daughter and wife to Inuyasha. Inuyasha looked at them and smiled.
“My son Ken’ichi is five years old. My daughter Aimi is three.”
“You have a beautiful family Yomiuri,” Inuyasha told him as he handed the orderly back his wallet.“You will too Mister Tsurubuchi,” Yomiuri said as he collected the trays and exited the room.
‘You’re right Yomiuri. I know I will,’ Inuyasha thought.Inuyasha looked down at his watch and saw that it was going to be nine-thirty in the morning. As if on cue, Sesshomaru and Rin walked in along with Miroku and Sango.
Inuyasha walked over to Sango and hugged her. “I’m glad you’re okay. When did you leave the hospital?” he asked.
“Inuyasha… I left yesterday,” Sango replied.
“Why didn’t you stop by before you left?”
Miroku and Sango shared a look.
“We did. But you and Kagome were asleep and we didn’t want to wake you,” Miroku informed him.“You still should have woken me up,” Inuyasha gently admonished. He walked over to Rin and gave her a hug and kiss.
Sesshomaru handed him his clothes and toiletries just as Kagome opened her eyes.
“Hey,” Kagome said sleepily as she sat up a little more.
Sesshomaru was instantly by her side before Inuyasha could even attempt reach her. He helped her sit up and said, “Good morning, little sister.”“Good morning, Sesshomaru.”
That’s when she saw Miroku, Sango and Rin standing off to the side.“Hey, guys. How are you all doing?” Kagome asked.
“We’re fine,” Miroku assured her as he walked over to give her a kiss on the forehead.“Go take a shower, Inuyasha,” Sesshomaru gently ordered.“Yeah, man. When you’re done Sesshomaru and I will take you to the cafeteria to get you something to eat,” Miroku told Inuyasha.
“Okay. Give me forty-five minutes or so.”
“Sure. While you do that we’ll stay with Kagome,” Miroku offered.
Inuyasha nodded and left for the bathroom across the hall. He locked the door and proceeded to take a shower.
When he was done he stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around his waist. He took another towel and dried his toned body. Then he went into his bag and got out his toothbrush along with the toothpaste and began to brush his teeth. Once he was done with that he took out his deodorant and applied it. After he was sure he would meet Kagome’s inspection he removed a third towel from his bag and started to dry his hair.
He smiled to himself as he remembered how Kagome always threatened to make do the laundry because it took him three towels to dry off. She complained that she had more towels than clothes to wash.As soon as he was done drying off his hair he began to comb the tangles out. He was used to Kagome doing this for him ever since their first night together. She always loved his long hair. He thought about cutting it shorter once. Not too short. Just up to the shoulders. But Kagome had looked like she was going to cry so he didn’t go through with it. If she liked his hair this long then by Kami he was going to keep it this long.
After combing his hair he looked into the bag and examined the clothes Rin and Sesshomaru had chosen for him. Inside the bag he saw a red short sleeved shirt and jeans. Of course there were underwear, socks and sneakers in a separate bag.While putting on the underwear Inuyasha hoped that Sesshomaru had the presence of mind not to send Rin into his underwear draw. The only woman allowed in there was Kagome.
Once he was dressed he headed back to Kagome’s room. When he entered he heard laughing. Everyone turned to look at him as he walked in. He headed over to Kagome and gave her a kiss on the lips.“Now that’s my man. You look so much better. Now go get something to eat with Sesshomaru and Miroku,” Kagome said. “Sango, Rin and I need to have girl and baby talk.”
“All right. We will be down in the cafeteria if you girls need us,” Inuyasha told her. He gave Kagome another quick kiss.
“Okay. And don’t forget our sweets! If you do the babies and I will be very, VERY upset.”
“I won’t.”
The three men left the room and headed for the elevators silently. They waited for the elevators to arrive. Once they had they got on. Sesshomaru pushed the lobby button. When they reached the ground floor they made their way to the cafeteria and took in the corner by a window.
The cafeteria wasn’t busy. It was about an hour before lunchtime.
When they sat down both Sesshomaru and Miroku were surprised that Inuyasha didn’t partake in any of the food offered in the cafeteria. Instead he just sat there.
“Don’t you want something to eat?” Sesshomaru asked.
“No.” Inuyasha replied. “What I want to know is what the fuck is going on. I know something is up Sesshomaru. You can’t hide shit from me. You suck at it.”
Sesshomaru sighed. “It’s about the accident, Inuyasha.” He looked over at Miroku before continuing. “This was no accident. It was attempted murder.”
Inuyasha’s face turned red with anger. “WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN THAT IT WAS NO ACCIDENT?!!!” he screamed, jumping to his feet.
The few customers in the room and the cooking staff all stopped what they were doing and looked over at the table.
“Sit down now, little brother. I will explain,” Sesshomaru coolly stated.
Inuyasha nodded and sat back down.
“The paparazzo was someone we all know. Someone who we thought was long gone. Someone that has been following you for years in secret.”
“Who is it that we all know?” Inuyasha asked a little too calmly.
Sesshomaru sighed. “It was Shinoara, Kikyo who caused the accident.”

“Why don’t you take a nap and I’ll wake you up when they come?” Inuyasha offered.“Okay,” she said between yawns.
Inuyasha leaned over and kissed her forehead. He then kissed her stomach. Kagome smiled and quickly fell asleep.Just as Kagome was falling asleep the orderly, Yomiuri, came back in to get the breakfast trays.
“How was breakfast?” Yomiuri asked.
“I wouldn’t know. My wife ate it while I was on the phone.”
The orderly laughed and shook his head. “She sounds like my wife when she was pregnant with our first one. Rumiko kept saying ‘I’m eating for two’, you know? I told her two armies you mean. I swear the food bill doubled. I really didn’t mind though. We had a healthy baby boy.”
Yomiuri took out his wallet and showed a picture of his son, daughter and wife to Inuyasha. Inuyasha looked at them and smiled.
“My son Ken’ichi is five years old. My daughter Aimi is three.”
“You have a beautiful family Yomiuri,” Inuyasha told him as he handed the orderly back his wallet.“You will too Mister Tsurubuchi,” Yomiuri said as he collected the trays and exited the room.
‘You’re right Yomiuri. I know I will,’ Inuyasha thought.Inuyasha looked down at his watch and saw that it was going to be nine-thirty in the morning. As if on cue, Sesshomaru and Rin walked in along with Miroku and Sango.
Inuyasha walked over to Sango and hugged her. “I’m glad you’re okay. When did you leave the hospital?” he asked.
“Inuyasha… I left yesterday,” Sango replied.
“Why didn’t you stop by before you left?”
Miroku and Sango shared a look.
“We did. But you and Kagome were asleep and we didn’t want to wake you,” Miroku informed him.“You still should have woken me up,” Inuyasha gently admonished. He walked over to Rin and gave her a hug and kiss.
Sesshomaru handed him his clothes and toiletries just as Kagome opened her eyes.
“Hey,” Kagome said sleepily as she sat up a little more.
Sesshomaru was instantly by her side before Inuyasha could even attempt reach her. He helped her sit up and said, “Good morning, little sister.”“Good morning, Sesshomaru.”
That’s when she saw Miroku, Sango and Rin standing off to the side.“Hey, guys. How are you all doing?” Kagome asked.
“We’re fine,” Miroku assured her as he walked over to give her a kiss on the forehead.“Go take a shower, Inuyasha,” Sesshomaru gently ordered.“Yeah, man. When you’re done Sesshomaru and I will take you to the cafeteria to get you something to eat,” Miroku told Inuyasha.
“Okay. Give me forty-five minutes or so.”
“Sure. While you do that we’ll stay with Kagome,” Miroku offered.
Inuyasha nodded and left for the bathroom across the hall. He locked the door and proceeded to take a shower.
When he was done he stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around his waist. He took another towel and dried his toned body. Then he went into his bag and got out his toothbrush along with the toothpaste and began to brush his teeth. Once he was done with that he took out his deodorant and applied it. After he was sure he would meet Kagome’s inspection he removed a third towel from his bag and started to dry his hair.
He smiled to himself as he remembered how Kagome always threatened to make do the laundry because it took him three towels to dry off. She complained that she had more towels than clothes to wash.As soon as he was done drying off his hair he began to comb the tangles out. He was used to Kagome doing this for him ever since their first night together. She always loved his long hair. He thought about cutting it shorter once. Not too short. Just up to the shoulders. But Kagome had looked like she was going to cry so he didn’t go through with it. If she liked his hair this long then by Kami he was going to keep it this long.
After combing his hair he looked into the bag and examined the clothes Rin and Sesshomaru had chosen for him. Inside the bag he saw a red short sleeved shirt and jeans. Of course there were underwear, socks and sneakers in a separate bag.While putting on the underwear Inuyasha hoped that Sesshomaru had the presence of mind not to send Rin into his underwear draw. The only woman allowed in there was Kagome.
Once he was dressed he headed back to Kagome’s room. When he entered he heard laughing. Everyone turned to look at him as he walked in. He headed over to Kagome and gave her a kiss on the lips.“Now that’s my man. You look so much better. Now go get something to eat with Sesshomaru and Miroku,” Kagome said. “Sango, Rin and I need to have girl and baby talk.”
“All right. We will be down in the cafeteria if you girls need us,” Inuyasha told her. He gave Kagome another quick kiss.
“Okay. And don’t forget our sweets! If you do the babies and I will be very, VERY upset.”
“I won’t.”
The three men left the room and headed for the elevators silently. They waited for the elevators to arrive. Once they had they got on. Sesshomaru pushed the lobby button. When they reached the ground floor they made their way to the cafeteria and took in the corner by a window.
The cafeteria wasn’t busy. It was about an hour before lunchtime.
When they sat down both Sesshomaru and Miroku were surprised that Inuyasha didn’t partake in any of the food offered in the cafeteria. Instead he just sat there.
“Don’t you want something to eat?” Sesshomaru asked.
“No.” Inuyasha replied. “What I want to know is what the fuck is going on. I know something is up Sesshomaru. You can’t hide shit from me. You suck at it.”
Sesshomaru sighed. “It’s about the accident, Inuyasha.” He looked over at Miroku before continuing. “This was no accident. It was attempted murder.”
Inuyasha’s face turned red with anger. “WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN THAT IT WAS NO ACCIDENT?!!!” he screamed, jumping to his feet.
The few customers in the room and the cooking staff all stopped what they were doing and looked over at the table.
“Sit down now, little brother. I will explain,” Sesshomaru coolly stated.
Inuyasha nodded and sat back down.
“The paparazzo was someone we all know. Someone who we thought was long gone. Someone that has been following you for years in secret.”
“Who is it that we all know?” Inuyasha asked a little too calmly.
Sesshomaru sighed. “It was Shinoara, Kikyo who caused the accident.”
