~~Chapter 22: Happiness~~
The jet ride back to Tokyo had been peaceful, quiet. Kagome slept half the time, spooned against InuYasha. Kiyoshi also slept. Raidon and Rini played video games half the time before Rini fell asleep. Shiori had knocked out against Shippou before the jet had taken off. Akina and Kagura had talked most of the way and then Akina too succumbed to sleep. Kagura had been the only one to stay awake most of the time, sleeping when they were only two hours from Tokyo.
InuYasha had dropped her off home, helping her with her luggage back in to the house. After sleepily giving Grandpa, Souta, and Mama their gifts, Kagome had once again knocked out on her bed. But since Paris, Kagome felt a sense of complete satisfaction. A sense that made her smile every time she slightly thought about InuYasha. She loved it. Never before had she felt such a sense of…completeness.
And here they were, almost a month later. Graduation was only three months away. Kagome was keeping her grades very high, to have a hope of getting in to the New York City program. She restrained herself from telling InuYasha, in hopes that if they told her `yes' then she'd ask him to go with her. Otherwise, no one else would have to know the program rejected her. Saturday mornings were always lazy. From the opened window, the late March breeze stirred Kagome, made her eyes gently flutter open. She yawned before turning in InuYasha's arm.
He looked so peaceful, so adorable, Kagome couldn't contain the smile that graced her face. The late morning sun gave him more of an angel appearance than anything. `It should be illegal to be so gorgeous. You'd be an angel InuYasha if your eyebrows were the same as your hair and you restrained yourself from cursing half the time.' She shook her head as she lazily scratched his stomach. His muscles twitched, but he remained asleep.
Friday night he had `kidnapped' her and brought her to his house, claiming he couldn't sleep without her by his side. Not like Kagome argued though, she loved sleeping next to InuYasha, feeling his arms hold her close to him, his breath on her throat and his heartbeat against her back. `There isn't a man in this whole universe that will ever make me feel the way you make me feel, InuYasha.' She leaned over him to gently kiss his cheek. His eyes opened and she smiled at him, brushing the bangs from his forehead.
“Morning sleepy-head.” She whispered. He grinned and closed his eyes again.
“Morning wench.”
“Its nice.” Kagome said, snuggling against him again. He grabbed her hand, placed it over his heart as he looked at the glimmer that shone off her ring.
“What is?”
Kagome sighed happily, brown eyes filled with a sparkle that he didn't understand, but loved. “Waking up next to you…”
He blushed, but looked at her affectionately anyway. “Yeah? Well, I suppose its nice waking up with you in my arms also, Kagome.”
“You suppose?”
He laughed and rolled over, pinning her beneath him as he rose to straddle her waist. She blushed and looked away. “Its daylight you hentai.”
He leaned down and kissed her neck. “That hasn't stopped us before.”
Kagome whimpered softly as she gave a half-hearted attempt to push him off. “I-Inu…Yasha…w-we shouldn't...” She blushed. “I-I mean…Kami.”
“Kagome?”
Kagome groaned softly before sighing in defeat. “Hmm?”
“Shut up.”

“I did not realize your Miko was pregnant, InuYasha.”
InuYasha whipped around and gazed open mouthed at Sesshoumaru. Kagome dropped the cup of tea she was drinking. It fell on the table and spilled. She squeaked before her face turned red. InuYasha's blush matched hers perfectly. “K-Keh! What the fuck makes you think she's pregnant?”
Sesshoumaru rolled his eyes and dropped a magazine in front of the couple. His cold gaze returned and he frowned. “I suggest you learn how to keep your personal life away from the press.” Sesshoumaru remarked with a hint of anger.
InuYasha frowned at the magazine that had a picture of Kagome sideways and it looked like a bump on her belly. Okay, so she didn't have a rock hard stomach, but her stomach was mostly flat. A tiny bump sticking out? Maybe she wasn't totally sucking it in. Either way, that wasn't the conclusion the media accepted. They decided Kagome must be pregnant with InuYasha's child.
Kagome blushed when she saw herself. “Am I pregnant?”
InuYasha snorted. “Keh! No!”
She made a face. “ That's a bad picture of me. I didn't realize people stalked me.”
`Nice baby belly Kagome.'
`Shuddup! Its not a baby belly.'
`Need to hit a gym maybe?'
`No! I can't be absolutely perfect the whole day, I too can take a breather. Sheesh, doesn't mean I'm pregnant though.'
The voice laughed before Kagome sighed. “Well,” Sesshoumaru started. “I suggest, InuYasha, you don't draw much attention to yourself.”
InuYasha snorted. “Mind your own business, I don't have my face in magazines all the time.”
“This is the third time.” Sesshoumaru shot back.
“Keh! They've taken pictures of you also!”
Sesshoumaru rolled his eyes. “Once. I do not allow pesky media people to print out any pictures of me or Kagura. You shouldn't allow it either. The media can praise you, but it can also destroy you. That is not good for the type of business you are running. Its not good for your Miko and for your future children. Would you like pictures of your mate and children in a local park published throughout Japan? Would you like pictures of your two if you ever on vacation? Would you like a picture of your mate published everywhere and criticized harshly because she was having a bad-hair day or perhaps wore her pajamas to pick up the newspaper on your porch?”
Point taken.
“Okay, okay…I'll deal with it,” InuYasha grumbled. He sighed. No, he didn't want media on top of him and Kagome for the rest of their lives. Harder when his life-span wasn't normal.
“Now that we've taken care of that, InuYasha, the annual company celebration is a week away. You will take that opportunity to formally introduce Kagome as your fiancé.”
Kagome blushed. InuYasha snorted and drummed his claws against the table. Sesshoumaru was getting on his nerves.
“On Saturday, there will be interviews and photographers, InuYasha and you shall behave yourself---”
“I'm not a fucking pup!”
“---and of course being in the park, the people are welcome to join in the celebration. There you will publicly announce your engagement and you will name her the future mother of your heir. That night, I host a formal event with some of our top clients and other important members of the business world.”
Kagome blinked quickly while InuYasha drummed his claws quicker and harder against the table. His ears twitched at his brother's announcement. `I will shoot him…I will cut him to pieces with Tetsusaiga, use Tenseiga to bring him back, and chop him up again…'
Kagura put a hand over Kagome's. “We aren't trying to put you on the spot, Kagome, but in the youkai world, they need to know who the mate of the tai-youkau's brother will be. It is important.”
Kagome nodded. “I understand.” She glanced at her fiancé, who sighed and nodded once. “Moving on,”
::*::*::*::* ::*::*::*::* ::*::*::*::* ::*::*::*::* ::*::*::*::* ::*::*::*::*
“I'm so excited, Mama” Kagome said, smiling widely as she brushed her hair. Her mother, who was sitting on her bed, gave her a gentle smile.
“Can you handle all the attention, darling?” Mrs. Higurashi asked, giving her daughter a knowing look. Kagome set down the brush on her bearu and nodded.
Kagome turned in her chair and looked at her floor. “I-I'm pretty sure I can handle it. I mean, I have to be able to handle it. It comes with the territory of being with him. It's not that bad.”
Mrs. Higurashi frowned. “Kagome, this morning, a magazine claimed you were pregnant.”
Kagome made a face. “It was just a bad picture---”
“But Kagome, things like this could put you in jepordy.”
Kagome shook her head. “We won't let it, I won't let it. I'm okay, honestly…InuYasha said he'd take care of it. Besides, I mean I really do---” the doorbell rang, cutting Kagome off. She walked out of her room and down the stairs. She glanced at Souta, who was playing with his video games and a sleeping Grandpa besides him. The doorbell rang again.
“I'm coming!” Kagome yelled seconds before she opened the door to see Akina standing there, wet from the rain. Kagome stepped back. “Aki! What happened to you?”
Kagome dragged the girl in and let in the red-haired youkai. Akina winced when the water dripped off her clothes, making a little puddle under her feet. “Sorry,” she muttered. Kagome waved her hand.
“Don't mention it. Come on,” Kagome dragged her up the stairs. Upon seeing Akina, Souta rushed behind the girls. When he ran in to Kagome's room, he saw Kagome digging out dry clothes for the girl to wear.
“Akina, will you get sick?” Souta asked, his brown eyes following the movements of the girl.
“No,” Akina said, standing up straight and looking at him. She winked. “Youkai don't get sick.”
Mrs. Higurashi had insisted that Akina take a warm shower before changing. The girl had easily complied. But once, dried and dressed in Kagome's pajamas, Akina sunk on to the bed. “What happened?” Kagome asked, sitting besides Akina.
She sighed. “It was such a pretty night, wasn't it? The rain came from no where.”
Kagome nodded. “It was, but don't change the subject.”
Akina made a face. “Mother sent me to the store. On the way, I bumped in to Zachary and he offered to take me. So we went to the store and on the way back, it started raining. But it wasn't hard, so I liked it. He liked it to, being water-youkai…he said he loved walking in the rain. I don't know what it was, but suddenly he hugged me and before we both knew it, we were kissing.”
Kagome squealed. “That's so cute! Kami, I knew you two had a thing for each other.”
Akina blushed and snorted. “How?”
Kagome shrugged. “The way he looked at you during Souta's party, like you were the light of his eyes.”
Akina shoved Kagome gently, the miko giggling. “Your exaggerating.”
“I'm not!” Kagome insisted. “Keep going.”
Akina sighed. “Okay, so we were kissing and I heard something. So when I looked, I saw Ayumi, Eri, and Yuka.”
“Oh no, Akina…”
“Yeah. Ayumi went all crazy on me, yelling at me. It was stupid.”
“Then why are you sad?”
Akina sighed and looked out the window. “Because loosing a friend over a boy is ridiculous, Kagome. I mean, she yelled at me, called a traitor, a bitch. She even tried to slap me and for a second, I almost forgot that I had to restrain myself. She said she hated me and after all three of them left, Zachary apologized.” She made a face, sapphire eyes suddenly flaring in anger.
“So not only do I loose a best friend, but that baka youkai apologizes for kissing me!” Akina dug her claws in to the fluffy pink pillow she was holding.
“Akina?”
“I ought to hold him down and slice him up!”
Her grip tightened “Akina…”
“I ought to drown him! See how he likes dying in his element….”
“Akina!” Kagome yelled when the pillow's feathers spilled out. Akina gasped and dropped the pillow, a furious blush taking over her cheeks.
“Oh Kami! Kagome, I'm so sorry!”
“Its okay,” Kagome chuckled. “Its okay.”
Akina looked at the time and suddenly gasped. “Damnit, Father doesn't know where I am!”
Kagome watched as Akina raced out of the bedroom towards the phone, to inform Kouga and Ayame she was safe.

“Are you ready?”
Kagome turned around to see InuYasha standing near the stage with his arms crossed over his chest. She smoothed out her simple black dress she had gotten the day before. She bit her lip and nodded when InuYasha extended his hand towards her. The park was already filled with people, eating, chatting, laughing, and waiting for Kagome's formal introduction. He leaned down to give her a quick kiss before smiling.
“Don't you worry, Kagome. You look gorgeous, you'll make every woman jealous.”
She laughed weakly. “You're the best my puppy.”
He grinned before kissing her one final time and going to the podium to `announce' her. Kagome's legs went weak when InuYasha started speaking. She was already promised to InuYasha, she was already his mate-to-be, she had already given herself to him, who cares if someone didn't like her? She had fallen in love with InuYasha in her jumbled Sengoku Jidai memories, with InuYasha who slept in trees and hunted food, who protected her and adored her with all his heart.
Then she had also fallen in love with this InuYasha, who still loved her with all his heart. The InuYasha who's youkai side had chosen her as his mate, as his equal. She had fallen in love with the InuYasha that owned an estate, was one the richest men in Asia, was one of the three presidents of Taishou Inc. and who still liked to sit around in trees and toy with his secret beads he wore around his neck all the time.
“---I know we were meant to be together forever. From the day I first saw her, first time I laid eyes on her, I knew in my heart she'd be the one I'd spend the rest of my days with. She saved me, given me everything I've ever dreamed of. I love her then, I love her now, and I will forever love her…my soul mate. I proudly introduce my fiancé, future mother of my heir, Kagome Higurashi.”
`InuYasha…' Kagome couldn't help it. When she came out, she quickly stepped over to InuYasha and instead of looking to where he had told her to, she hugged him tightly as she leaned up to kiss him. He didn't hesitate to lock his arms around her waist, dragging her closer, ravaging her senses with his mouth. He broke the kiss and kissed her nose. She hiccupped as the first tear fell. “I love you so much, InuYasha Morikami, I can't even begin to explain. I'm so glad you found me.”
His cheeks pinked a tiny bit. “I'm glad to, Kagome. I don't know what I would've done if you rejected me this time. I would've died, I can't live without you.” Reluctantly, he let her go to answer questions, like his dear brother had instructed him to. “Any questions?”
One reporter rose up. “When is the wedding date?”
“December 18 of next year.”
::*::*::*::* ::*::*::*::* ::*::*::*::* ::*::*::*::* ::*::*::*::* ::*::*::*::*
“Look at `em” Raidon said as he looked at his `uncle' dancing with Kagome. “They look like two teenagers in love.”
Rini rolled her eyes besides him, grabbing his hand and pulling him to the dance floor. She wrapped her arms around his neck as he gently led her. “Kagome still is a teenager.”
Raidon kissed her forehead before smiling. “I think they look totally cute, I mean, it's like a match made in heaven. They compliment each other in every single way.”
Raidon smirked. “Just like us?”
Rini rolled her eyes and looked up at him, looking as he tucked in strands of her red hair behind her ear. “Absolutely, Rai.”
“Hey look over there, its Kin and his ice-princess.” Raidon said, jerking his head to the right of them. Rini looked over and just like her fiancé had said, Kin was talking to a very beautiful girl. She was tall, only about three or four inches shorter than Kin himself, who was taller than Kouga.
“I'm sure your brother wouldn't fall for an `ice-princess' you big fat jerk.”
Raidon snorted as he watched Kin take the Ice-princess and lead her to the dance floor. She wrapped her arms around his neck and they still talked a little, only a tiny grin taking over her very pretty face. As the music kept playing, Kin and Ice-princess moved closer, so close that Raidon knew he could talk to Kin low enough so only Kin's youkai ears could hear.
“What's with the Ice-princess?” Raidon asked Kin casually. Rini and Kin's dancing partner didn't seem to hear the question.
“Ruby,” Kin corrected. The girl looked up at him.
“What's wrong, Kin?” She asked, crystal blue eyes confused. He shook his head, leaned down to kiss her forehead.
“Nothing at all, I just like your name.”
She smiled. Raidon snorted. Rini sighed dreamily. Kin frowned and took Ruby's hand. “I'd like you to meet my brother and his fiancé, Raidon and Rini. Guys, this is Ruby Yamada, the photographer I told you about.”
Out of courtesy, Raidon shook hands with her. “Pleasure to meet you, Kin talks very highly of you both.” Ruby said with a smile that broke through Raidon's initial `Ice-princess' theory.
Rini grinned. “Does he? Well, he told us quite the compliments about you. It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Ruby. Kin doesn't stop talking about you.”
Ruby blushed and grinned. Raidon looked at her, really looked at her. Her eyes were very light blue, almost river-ish blue. Her dark brown eyebrows were perfect, arching up at the right point and giving her eyes an already elegant and beautiful appearance. They eye shadow the human girl wore was put on as a smoky effect, making the blue of her eyes stand out. Her nose was aristocratic, like the noses of Sesshoumaru and InuYasha.
Raidon snorted. `Rini is prettier. Ice-princess is just…taller'
Her hair was long, very long, going down to her waist. It was pure golden blonde, curled up and complimenting her tall frame. She was slender, but she was slightly full. Her body was very curvy. Her appearance and poise gave her the appearance of being quiet and cold. But when she opened her mouth and her smile took over, she took on a whole other image. Ruby looked at Raidon and smiled. He gave her a tiny smile back.
Kin wrapped his arm around Ruby and shot his brother a glance. He read Raidon's expression.
`I approve, little brother…'
Kin watched as Ruby made small talk with Rini. He smiled. `I wouldn't care if he didn't approve anyways. Ruby is perfect, as precious as the gem itself.'
Their talk was suddenly interrupted when Kiyoshi backpedaled towards them, turning around and almost bumping in to Ruby. Kin grabbed his shirt and pulled him aside. “Careful you squash my date you baka.” Kin made a face when Kiyoshi stared at Ruby dumbly.
“Oi! That's your woman isn't it? The one you ditched Paris for?”
Ruby gasped and blushed. Kin growled and blushed. “I did not ditch Paris…I was just busy.”
Kiyoshi laughed and looked at his younger brother. “Least she's damn gorgeous…what's your name?”
Ruby blinked at the unfamiliar face, yet Kiyoshi's face was the same as Raidon's. The only difference was the colors of their crests. Raidon's crests were white, but Kiyoshi's crests were sky-blue. “R-Ruby Yamada.”
“Kiyoshi Taka,” He gave her a dazzling smile before backpedaling away from them again. “Akina is over there flirting with some water-youkai! Best you two look in to that!” He yelled and forcefully turned around, smacking right in to a girl.
She squealed when Kiyoshi almost knocked her down. “You baka, don't you have a brain? Watch where you're going!” She screamed, standing on her tiptoes to yell at him up close and personal. Kiyoshi stepped back and blinked several times.
“Umm…”
He caught the scent of her, tingling with the scent of being a full wind-youkai. Her violet eyes flared with anger when he stayed quiet, staring at her. “What are you mute?” She demanded, placing her hands on her hips.
“Alexandra!” A girl yelled, waving at the one who was busy yelling at Kiyoshi.
She made a face. “I have no time to be yelling at bakas like yourself. Goodbye, knock in to me again and I'll blow you to Antarctica.”
That said, she turned on her heel and walked away. Kiyoshi turned back to his brothers and sighed. “I'm in love…” He said and followed the girl named Alexandra.
“Boy, Kiyoshi doesn't quit does he?” Akina asked as she slipped next to Rini.
Raidon frowned. “He told us you were making out with some water-youkai.”
Akina snorted. “I wasn't making out, baka, I was talking.” She started to walk away, shooting Ruby a smile. “Watch until I get my hands on that stinky wolf…” She grumbled as she stalked off to find Kiyoshi, who was busy stalking the wind-youkai.
“Well, you have an interesting family, Kin.” Ruby said as Kin re-wrapped his arm around her waist.
“Come on, lets go eat. I'm starving.”
Ruby nodded and followed Kin. Kin turned only to almost collide with another youkai. He blinked and stared at Kin before backing up. “Uhh…have you seen Akina anywhere?” He asked.
Kin frowned. `Water-youkai…'
Raidon snorted. “No, we haven't.”
Rini stood in front of Raidon. “She went that way.” She pointed to where the stage was. The water-youkai nodded before turning around and going in the direction Rini pointed him to.
“What the hell, Rini?”
“What?” Rini demanded as she stood up to Raidon.
Kin led Ruby away. “My family have to be the most weird people ever. Come Ruby, you still have to meet my Uncle and his fiancé.” He looked over at Kagome and InuYasha, who were busy acting like puppies in love. “….As soon as we eat.”
Ruby laughed.
::*::*::*::* ::*::*::*::* ::*::*::*::* ::*::*::*::* ::*::*::*::* ::*::*::*::*
“Ahh, Kagome Higurashi, you look lovely tonight.”
Kagome blushed at the compliment, but held her head up high. “Thank you Yamada-san.” She kept talking with Minnamori Yamada, owner of the Fushigi na Modeling Agency. The agency that hired Kagome.
InuYasha wrapped his arm securely around her waist, holding her close. After the park event, they had moved on to the formal party at Sesshoumaru's estate. Only top clients and important business people were there, meeting the fiancé of on of Taishou Inc.'s presidents. Minnamori Yamada had brought along her daughter, Ruby Yamada to the event. After talking with Ruby, Kin had taken the girl away.
Also there was a thunder-youkai named Yashio Sueki, owner of the biggest cellphone chain in Japan. His wife, a wind-youkai, Demetria Adams Sueki was always by his side. They had brought along their son and daughter, a twenty year old boy named Maiku Sueki and a nineteen year old girl named Alexandra Sueki. Maiku was busy mingling while Alexandra was talking with Kouga.
“Uncle, who is that?” Kiyoshi asked as he pointed to the woman Kouga was talking with. InuYasha looked at her.
“She's Sueki's daughter,” InuYasha said, rubbing Kagome's hip gently. “I think her name is Ale---something.”
“Alexandra…” Kiyoshi broke out in to a wide grin, “Excuse me, Uncle…Aunt…”
He smoothly walked over to his father. “Father, would you mind if I take this beauty to dance?”
Kouga stepped back. “Not at all. It was a pleasure talking to you Sueki-san. You are much like your father and that is very admirable.” With that he sauntered away to find his mate.
“I'm sure he doesn't mind, but this beauty does. Get away from me.” Alexandra snapped, trying to free her hand from Kiyoshi's grasp. She turned around, Kiyoshi watched as her raven-black hair went with her. He grinned when he saw dark red highlights in her hair, sighed when the wonderful scent of strawberries hit his nose.
He pulled her back and pulled her close, whispering in her ear “Now, don't make a scene Alexandra.”
She made a face and looked the other way. Kiyoshi sighed and frowned. “Can't you at least pretend you like me, even a little?”
Alexandra looked up at him, wrinkled her nose. “But I don't like you baka.” She untangled herself from his grasp and turned around. “You aren't my type.” She threw over her shoulder before sauntering away.
Kiyoshi stood there, unknowing what exactly to do in his predicament. `I like her spunk…she's amazing…'
From where she was, Alexandra looked at him. He grinned, she wrinkled her nose before turning her back to him again. Kiyoshi slumped his shoulders. “Damn…” he muttered before turning around and walking away.
“Got shot down, pup?” InuYasha asked as she walked besides Kiyoshi. The wolf-youkai made a face and lifted his chin proudly.
“I don't get shot down, Uncle.” Kiyoshi stated as a matter a fact. “She just wasn't my type.”
“Hmm…” InuYasha nodded before scratching his chin. He watched Alexandra talk with Kagome and Ruby, watched as she carefully smoothed out her lavender dress and held her glass of champagne. “You've got your work cut out for you.”
Kiyoshi sighed and looked at Alexandra again. It seemed she felt his stare because she once again turned around and looked at Kiyoshi. InuYasha nodded curtly at her and she returned the curt. Her violet eyes traveled to Kiyoshi and she---expressionless---turned back around to continue her chat.
“Well, while you stand there and stare…I'm going to get my fiancé.” InuYasha said as he started towards Kagome. He maneuvered himself through the crowd, giving them smiles. He slipped behind Kagome and grinned. “Ladies…”
“Morikami-san, your fiancé is fabulous,” Alexandra said, giving him a dashing smile. Kagome smiled and blushed.
“Thank you, Alexandra. You are quite the woman yourself.” InuYasha said, turning to look at Kiyoshi.
The wind-youkai chuckled and shrugged her shoulders. “I just do not let myself be swayed with feelings. I have duties, I have no desire for mate, nor do I desire getting involved with such things. I hope you are happy, Morikami-san.” She smiled before nodding at Kagome and Ruby. “Excuse me,”
Ruby grinned and looked around InuYasha until she spotted Kin. “Excuse me.” She whispered before going towards him.
Kagome turned in his arms. “I think Alexandra will give Kiyoshi quite the chase.”
InuYasha leaned down and planted a sweet kiss on her lips. “Indeed, Kagome, my love.”
::*::*::*::* ::*::*::*::* ::*::*::*::* ::*::*::*::* ::*::*::*::* ::*::*::*::*
“Get used to it…it's the life you'll have, Kagome. Fancy parties, head up high, formalities. It's just the way since Taishou Inc. became the top company. Sesshoumaru is tai-youkai and I'm his brother, we both are up there now.”
Kagome turned on the bed, biting her lip. Could she really get used to it? She snorted. Of course she could. It would just take a little time. She had, had the misfortune of bumping in to a woman by the name of Ismary Quest. An arrogant woman who had looked at like a she was a tiny speck of dirt under her black high heels. In her chat with the woman, Ismary had enlightened Kagome in the many ways she'd have to `behave' when in formal company parties. InuYasha entered his bedroom again, bringing her a plate of cookies. She smiled as she grabbed one.
“What are you thinking?” He asked as he placed his head on her lap. She rubbed his ears.
“When we have children---”
“You want children already?”
Kagome blushed. “N-No…”
“Not right away right? We have forever, I want to keep you to myself for a while.”
Kagome smiled. “Oh really?”
InuYasha nodded.
“As I was saying. That article made me think and wonder what our children will be like. When we do have kids, what do you want to name them?”
InuYasha snorted. “The first pup will be a female, I know it.”
Kagome shook her head. “It'll be a boy, puppy.”
“Keh! Its fatherly instinct, I know these things Kagome.”
Kagome raised her brow. “It's motherly instinct, InuYasha. I know it.”
“Keh! If your so confident, when you do give birth to my pup…if it's a boy, you can name him. But if my pup is a girl…I get the whole naming privilege.”
“You're on, Morikami.”
Satisfied, he laid his lead on her lap again. Kagome sighed. “If it's a boy, what would you name him?”
Kagome smiled and rubbed his ear. “Kaemon,” She answered
“Why?”
She paused before answering. “Because it was my father's name.” InuYasha's eyes snapped open. He opened his mouth to say something, but she interrupted him. “What would you name the girl?”
He sighed. She obviously didn't want to talk about it. “Randilyn…”
Kagome blinked and smiled. “Why?”
“Because…I like Randilyn.”
Kagome leaned down to brush a kiss on his cheek. “What if we have twins?”
InuYasha snorted. “No way.”
Kagome laughed. “Then they'd be Kaemon and Randilyn.”
“If they were twins, they'd both be girls. Randilyn and Jaime, my daughters.”
Kagome rolled her eyes. “Shouldn't we practice making `em?” She suggested, a little too casually for InuYasha's taste. What was the wench up to?
He looked up at her. “Do you want to practice making `em? Because, wench, I won't complain.”
Kagome looked up at the ceiling before breaking in to a smirk. “Whenever you're ready, puppy.”
InuYasha growled before pinning Kagome beneath him and letting his lips drop over hers. Kagome groaned softly.
