A\N: Hola! SO SO sorry to keep you waiting but I was at my Dad's. But I'm back and ready to write! I'm not going to keep you waiting like I have all weekend. So on with it!

 

 

Chapter 5: He said She said

 

Kagome woke up and moaned. She walked to the bathroom and gasped. On her arm was big bruise the size of a baseball. She sighed. “I hit my arm on the table”… okay. She heard her cell phone ring.

 

“ Hello?”

 

“ You were supposed meet me here fifteen minutes ago!” A girl's voice came from the other line.

 

“ Sango! I'm so sorry! I forgot! I'll be there in ten! Later.”

 

“ Yeah you better be.”

 

Kagome hung up the phone and quickly changed, put her up, grabbed her purse and rushed out the bedroom door. Kouga sat and felt his head. He saw Kagome standing in front of the large mirror, fixing herself.

 

“ Hey, what happened last night?” Kouga questioned. He voice was coarse, like he had a cold.

 

“ Oh last night? You came home drunk, I asked what happened, you said the guys dared you to drink five beers in five minutes…”

 

“ And I won.”

 

Kagome rolled her eyes. “ Yeah I noticed. Then, you h-“ maybe I should leave that out, “ hesitated and collapsed to the floor. I put you on the couch.”

 

“ Thanks.” He glanced at her arm. “ What's wrong with your arm?”

 

“ Oh! I uh well it was dark, in the house, and I tripped and uh, fell against the table! Clumsy me!” Kagome smacked her forehead.

 

Kouga laughed, “ Well be careful, I wouldn't want you to hurt yourself too badly.”

 

“ Yeah. Well I uh gotta go. Love you!” Kagome ran out the door.

 

“ Love you too.” Kouga checked his pockets. “ Hey! Where's my 20 bucks?!”

Kagome walked through the doors of Starbucks. She saw Sango sitting at a table with one hand under her chin, and the other tapping the table with her fingers. She walked towards her.

 

“ Hi.” She said.

 

“ One mocha late on me,” Sango pushed the drink forward.

 

“ You know I love you right?”

 

“ You better.”

 

Kagome sat down. “ So what's up?”

 

“ With me or you?”

 

“ You first.”

 

“ Okay,” Sango took a big breath in “ Nothing.”

 

Kagome mouth dropped open in a sarcastic way. “Wow Sango! You should write a book!”

 

“ Ha. Ha. Funny. Well since I have a boring life, what's up with you?”

 

“ Well, remember that guy at the club the other night?”

 

“ You mean the one you ditched me for?” Sango answered immediately.

 

“When you put it that way-“

 

“ Yes I remember.” Sango waved her hand in a “go on” fashion.

 

“ Well I met him again last night.”

 

“ Oooo” Sango smiled. (That ooo was said in an Amber and Ashley way from Hannah Montana)

 

“ No. Just hanging out… As friends.” Kagome pointed out.

 

“ Well did Kouga know?”

 

Kagome looked down. “ No.”

 

“ OOOOOOh!” Sango squealed.

 

Kagome rolled her eyes. Sango was her best friend and would always be her best friend. She was tough and could take care of herself when needed, but sometimes she could be such a girl.

 

“ NOTHING HAPPENED.” Kagome put her hands out.

 

“ Are you going to see him again?”

 

“ Yeah tonight.” Kagome took the first sip of her drink so she wouldn't have to talk.

 

“ Kagome Higurashi, are you CHEATING on your boyfriend?!” Sango put her hands on her hips.

 

“ NO! We're just friends.” Kagome exclaimed.

 

“ Riiiight.”

 

“ Ugh.”

 

Sango paused. She looked close at Kagome. “D-do you like him?”

 

“ I have a boyfriend you know. Remember Kouga?”

 

Sango made a disgusted face. “ Trying to forget. And so?”

 

“ So…”

 

“ Kagome you can still like him. I mean I saw him remember? He's totally hot! And to be honest I could tell you liked him.”

 

“ What? What do you mean you could tell?”

 

“ You DO like him!!”

 

“ No!”

 

“ You're not a good liar.”

 

Kagome started sipping her drink again. She didn't want to talk and give Sango even more wrong ideas. But she didn't know how to explain her feelings. If she didn't like him, why did she give him her number? Why did she lie to go see him last night? Why is she seeing him again tonight? Maybe… she does like him… does she?

Inuyasha woke up and looked at the clock, 12:07 pm. He groaned and got up. He went to the kitchen for lunch. He saw Sesshomaru reading a book.

 

“ So, how was `hanging out'?” Sesshomaru asked.

 

“ None of your damn business.” Inuyasha moaned. He grabbed a cup of ramen out of the cupboard.

 

“ I knew it.”

 

“ What?” He filled it with water and put it in the microwave.

 

“ She hates you.”

 

“ So why am I seeing her tonight?”

 

“ You're gonna stalk her? Tisk, tisk. When did you sink so low?”

 

“ You're such an idiot.” Inuyasha took the cup out and started eating with chopsticks.

 

“ Did you ask to see her or did she ask you?”

 

“ Why the hell does it matter?”

 

“ Curious.”

 

Inuyasha ate his noodles while Sesshomaru read his book. Inuyasha stared at the cover for a moment.

 

“ What are you reading?”

 

Sesshomaru shut the book quickly and put it behind him. “ Nothing.”

 

“ Then let me see it.” Inuyasha put his hand out.

 

“ No!”

 

“ Okay.” Inuyasha turned around. Then he quickly turned back around and snatched the book from him. He put it out of his reach and read the cover. He turned around.

 

“ Wow.”

 

“ It's not what you think!” Sesshomaru grabbed the book and tossed on the couch.

 

“ Wow.” Inuyasha walked over to the couch and picked up the book. “ The Notebook. Sesshomaru are you having any weird feelings ya know… about guys?”

“ Shut up.” Sesshomaru grabbed the book as Inuyasha flopped on the couch and started laughing.

 

“ Rin is making me read it!”

 

“ And you're ACTUALLY doing it!”

 

“ Shut up!”

 

“ So tell me wh-” They heard a cell phone ringing. Inuyasha picked it up.

 

“ Give me my phone!” Sesshomaru yelled.

 

“ W-w-wait! It's a text from Rin.”

 

“ GIVE IT!”

 

“ Wait!” Inuyasha read the text message.

 

 

Dear Sessy, u done with the book yet? want 2 c the movie with u! Luv, Rin.

 

 

Inuyasha rolled on the floor laughing. Sesshomaru took the phone and read the message.

 

“ Oh my god. My sides hurt!” Inuyasha yelled.

 

“ Your face is gonna hurt when I'm done with you!” Sesshomaru pounced on Inuyasha and they started fighting. When they finally stopped they were breathing hard.

 

“ Shouldn't you be getting for your date with Kagome?”

 

“ Okay that was random and it's not a date.”

 

“ Whatever. Do you like her?”

 

“ Once again none of your damn business.”

 

“ Take that as a yes.”

 

“ You shouldn't.”

 

“ You're not a good liar.”

 

“ Probably cause I'm not lying.”

 

“ Liar.”
