Chapter Three

 

“Do you know who these people are as well? Are they in your little books too?” Inuyasha asked

 

“Yeah” she answered.

 

“Ok, then name them.” He challenged her

 

“Ok. I guess I will start with him,” she said pointing to the semi-normal looking boy “ His name is Miroku. He is a monk, but a lecherous monk. He has this curse on his hand that allows him to suck stuff up. He calls it a kazanna or a wind tunnel. He has only so long until he is sucked up by it like it did his father and his grand father. Over there is Sango. She is a demon exterminator. Unfortunately her whole village was slaughtered by demons. Her little brother Kohaku, he is like a zombie, um, the walking dead. That is her pet cat Kirara. I think it is an element cat. Then there is Shippo he is a kitsune. Bless his heart; his parents were killed because of the Thunder brothers. So, Kagome, who is over there, took the Shippo in as hers. Ok, I only know a little bit about Kagome, but what I do know is that she is a girl from my time. She was dragged through the well by this giant centipede thing. And now because she kind of accidentally broke this very important jewel she is here searching for them. This all happened on her 15th birthday. Some present huh?”

 

The group was in aw. There in front of them was a girl who knew almost everything about them. The group just sat there for the longest time. The silence was unbearable, so Kagome decided to break it.

“So how do you know do you now all this?” Kagome asked

 

“Well it is in my books.” Ami answered

 

“What books?

 

Ami dug in her messenger bag and pulled out two, rather large, books. They looked like they were some kind of encyclopedias.

 

“I bought these before I came to Japan. I got them at Books-A-Million I recently became in the Feudal Era and stuff. I love learning about new things. All of you are in there.” She said handing Kagome one of the books.

“It is a set of three. I only brought two with me. I never really thought that you all were real. It is like being in some kind of dream.”

 

“So,” Sango asked” where are you from?”

 

“ Alabama. Gadsden, Alabama.” Ami answered

 

“Where?” Sango asked again.

 

“Uh, America, it is a whole other country way over the ocean.” Ami answered again

 

“ Well that how you explain how you know about them, but what about me?” Kagome asked handing her books back.

“Well, your grand father told me all this junk about demons and spells and other stuff. He told me a little bit about you and what happened. He said he could sense something about me that he could trust. Hm, I don't really know.”

 

“But how did you end up here?” Miroku asked.

 

“Well when I was about to go when something caught my eye. So I bent down to get it. But when I got up I lost my balance and I fell backwards into the well. I climbed out, looked around, found a trial and decided to follow it. When I bumped into Inuyasha. He made some threats against me. So I told him not to do that or I would hurt him. Well he didn't believe me, so I kicked him between his legs and ran as fast as I could. He ended up catching me I messed by saying his name. I ran away when he said he was taking me somewhere, I ran away but he ended up catching me. He threw me over his shoulders and he brought me here. So here I am. Does that answer your question Miroku?” Ami explained

 

“Yes it does but that was a rather long explanation,” Miroku said.

 

“Yeah I know but if I left anything out you would be more confused than you already are.” Ami said

 

“Well you can stay with us, if it is ok with you Inuyasha.” Kagome had said.

 

“I don't care, but she ain't going right this minute. She can go when ever you go back for your supplies.”

 

“Um, Kagome, how long will that be??” Ami asked.

 

“I am not really sure, maybe a month, give or take a week.”

 

Oh, ok.” Ami looked kind of upset

 

“ I know, how about some dinner?” Kagome suggested trying to change the mood of the group.

 

`I cannot believe I am stuck here for a month. My sister is leaving for home in a week. I was suppose to stay with her at all times. She is so going to freak when we don't meet up together at the airport. I am going to be in so much trouble when I get home, if I ever get home.' Ami thought to herself

 

“Here you go Ami, you should eat.” Kagome said handing the girl some dinner.

 

“ Um no thanks, I'm not really that hungry.” Ami said handing the bowl back to her.

 

“Are you sure?”

 

“Yes, I am positive, I don't want anything to eat.”

 

“Are you ok? You look upset.” Kagome had asked

 

“Oh sure why wouldn't I be? I mean I am half way around the world, and to make things even better I am 500 years in the past. My sister will be leaving in a week, and if I am not home with her my mom will freak out. Not to mention Coty, my little brother, will be confused on why he had two sisters when we left and only one when we are suppose to return. To make matters even better I am not capable of leaving on my own, because Mr. Dude over there doesn't think I can do it on my own. Just because I am another human, well you know what I am not just another weak human, do you get that dude?” Ami said emphasizing the last few sentences.

 

“You stupid girl, my name isn't dude, I don't even know a dude. You know what my name is so get it right.” Inuyasha said from his perch in the tree

 

“ Yeah, sure, whatever”

 

“You know what? I am getting tired of your smart mouth girl.”

 

“Ok, my name isn't girl, or stupid girl, or even girly. My name is Ami. If you don't want me to call you dude anymore, then don't call me any of those three names. Deal?”

 

“Oh, just shut up girly “ Inuyasha said.

 

“You know what you are a really big dork” Ami said trying to hold back here tears.

 

“You know what I don't even know what a dork is, but if I am one then I guess that you must be a stupid little girly girl.”

 

“Inuyasha why don't you leave Ami alone. You aren't really helping her out any by being this rude.” Kagome said

 

“ What am I doing? She is the one who started insulting me first you know.“

 

“Look Inuyasha, you are making her so upset that she is almost I tears.”

 

“Ah, who cares, if all girls from the future are anything like you, then they are always going to cry about something or another. She is almost as weepy as you are Kagome.”

 

“That is it! Inuyasha SIT!”

 

“What the……….” Inuyasha said as he was slammed into the ground

 

As soon as the spell wore off Inuyasha asked, “What the hell was that for?”

 

That was for being rude to our new friend, and for insulting the both of us.” Kagome said.

 

They decide to make camp and stay there for the night.
