Chapter 5

The next day at school was pretty uneventful although InuYasha and the gang did have at least 2 run-ins with Manbeast (aka Kikyou).

By the time it was lunch every one was happy that Kikyou had had a different lunch than them. They were all sitting at the same table when Koga came up to them and asked if he could speak to Kagome alone. InuYasha wasn't all that happy but let her go with him.

Koga took Kagome into an empty stairwell and said “Kagome what do you see in half-breed out there? I'm a full demon! Kagome you will leave that Half breed and be with me!” Kagome was in utter shock all she could do was slap him. Very hard too.

Kagome was furious. She would never leave InuYasha for some one like Koga even if InuYasha was a Hanyou, she liked him just the way he was and Koga was being a total jackass.

She yelled at him “ What are you insane! Why the HELL would I EVER GO OUT WITH YOU!? Your such an ass hole Koga! I can't believe you just asked me that knowing perfictly well I don't like you in that way and that I love InuYasha!”

Koga a little shocked to hear her say that she was in love with a Hanyou. So he did the next thing he could think of. He pushed her up against the wall and before she had time to scream Koga's lips crushed down on to a totally shocked Kagome. She couldn't get out of his grasp. She finally got enough room to scream “INUYASHA!!” knowing perfictly well that he could hear her.

InuYasha heard her scream and ran off the way Koga had taken her. When he came to the stair well he saw Kagome up against the wall trying her hardest to get Koga off of her. InuYasha new exactly what had happened. Koga had tried to convinse her to break up with him but when she said no he kissed her. And now she was still up against the wall with tears streaming down her face. InuYasha was so mad.

The fact that Koga took her first kiss instead of him made him even more madder. He pushed Koga off of Kagome who was still to shocked to even really know what was happening. All that she knew was that InuYasha was there and she was safe. InuYasha on the other hand was kickin Koga's ass for even touching Kagome. When Koga was knocked uncounsous, InuYasha grabbed Kagome and took her back to the lunch room where he got the rest of the gang and told them to follow him.

When they were finally out to InuYasha's car they all saw that Kagome was still crying. InuYasha didn't tell them why, just to follow him. When he told them Sango asked “Kagome…are you okay? Do you wanna skip the rest of the day and we can get your homework for you?” Kagome who was still crying into InuYasha's shirt nodded her head yes.

InuYasha said that he was going to go with Kagome and talk to her about what had happened. The rest agreed. Even Miroku was mad when InuYasha told them what had happened. “ooo Koga is sooooo out of the band” Miroku said. “ I think your right on that one for once Miroku” Shippo said. When InuYasha finally got Kagome into his car he turned and asked Kagome where she wanted to go. Kagome didn't care. As long as that a certant wolf wasn't any where near her.

InuYasha decided on taking her to his house knowing that no one would be home. When they got there InuYasha helped Kagome out of the SUV and led her up to his room. It was painted a deep red…almost the color of blood. With black carpet and red and black curtains. The bed sheets were red and black also.

InuYasha led Kagome over to the bed and sat down and pulled her into his lap. “Kagome… do you want to talk about what happened in the stairwell? If you don't I can understand why”

“No…Its okay…well when he pulled me into the stair well he told me to break up with you cuz your a Hanyou and he's not. I told him no cuz…cuz I…like you alot.” She whispered the last part just low enough that he could barely hear her. InuYasha didn't know what to say. He was shocked that she told him that she liked him so much, even if he was a Hanyou. He didn't think any one could or would ever love him (besides Kikyou, which he hated her guts), he thought that she was just going to use him for some reason. Yea he liked her a lot too but was afaird to tell her. “I also told him that I didn't care that you're a Hanyou and that I like you just the way you are” Kagome said looking up at him.

She had stopped crying when they had gotten into his room. She was afraid that he was going to reject her but he didn't. he then said “Kagome…for the longest time I thought that no one would ever want to love me. But since you I've felt different. I feel more happy around you. I don't know how to tell you but I like you a lot too.” He then reached down and kissed her. It was nothing compard to Koga's harsh kiss. It was gentle and warm.

When they finally seperated from the lack of air InuYasha said “ Don't count Koga as your fist kiss. Cuz tech. He wasn't. you didn't want him to kiss you so there for it doesn't count.” This made Kagome feel much better that InuYasha didn't care about what Koga had done. She was happy. “Thank you InuYasha…for everything.” And with that she feel asleep in his arms. A little later he fell asleep as well. Very content on where he was at the moment with Kagome in his arms.

They slept the whole night in each others arms and awoke the next day. “InuYasha…wake up” Kagome said “argh….lemme go back to sleeeep” they sleepy Hanyou said. “INUYASHA WAKE UP!!!!!” Kagome screamed into InuYasha's ear. “OWWWW!!!WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR!?' “To wake you up. Were gonna be late for school” Kagome calmly said before she gave him a quick kiss on the nose. “ Hurry up.”
