Chapter 9

 

 

The next day at school was hell for the group. When they pulled in to the parking lot in InuYasha's red SUV Kikyou came running up and yelled “INUYAHA!! What are you doing with her?” She said coldly

“Im with Kagome cuz I want to be with her NOT YOU! Kami can't you get it through your thick skull to the brain you don't have that I don't like you! Never have and never will! Now go the hell away!” Kikyou looked hurt and said sadly “InuYasha…darling…you don't love me anymore do you?”

At this point InuYasha and Kagome were about to rip her head off if it wasn't for Sango, Miroku, Shippo, and Kirara, Kikyou would be dead in 30 different pieces. “Kikyou if you don't leave right now I will let Kagome go.” Miroku said. “Hmph…she couldn't hurt me if she tried.” “You apperently forgot what she did to you nose at the beginning of the year” Shippo said. (Its like March for them.)

“I wasn't ready” Kikyou said. “Fine…you no what ill give you to the count of 30 to get ready.” Kagome said. “Fine. You wont even get near me.” Kikyou said overly cocky. The rest of the gang just sat back and ate popcorn to watch Kikyou get her ass handed to her in 30 some pieces.

When Kagome was done counting to 30 Kikyou just stood there like no one could touch her. Kagome charged at her and Kagome's fist met with Kikyou's jaw. Once again Kikyou screached “NO FAIR!!!I WASN'T READY!!” “OMG! Your such a baby! Go cry me a river, build a bridge, and get the HELL OVER IT!!” Kagome screamed right back at her.

InuYasha and the rest were laughing wildly at this and they had tears streaming down there faces. When Kagome shot them all a death glare they stopped laughing immeditly and got of the ground they were rolling on.

“Lets go. I don't want to spend anymore time around her. I personally don't really feel like getting infected with her bullshit” Kagome said coldly. InuYasha had never seen her so angry at a person.

“Okay. Were gonna be late for class if we don't go now anyways.” Shippo said. InuYasha took Kagome's hand and gave her a loving kiss one the forehead and said “That was a nice uppercut you did back there.” “Thanks. Can you fight?” “Yeah I can. I just don't like to use it unless I want to spar with a really good fight, like your self, or if I have to deffened myself our some one I care about” He said and looked down at Kagome as the gang walked into their first class, Which by the way was English. They made it the most boring and useless class of them all.

It was finally lunch. The gang was heading down to lunch when Koga came up and said “InuYasha what are you doing?” He saw that InuYasha and Kagome were holding hands and were very close.

“Ummmm… im hangin out with my girlfriend and my best friends. Is that a problem?” “Yes it is. Do you wanna know why it's a problem half breed? (That comment hit InuYasha to his core and Kagome saw it) It's cuz you are all over MY woman. That's what.”

“NEWS FLASH!! Koga just cuz I live next to you and we are FRIENDS doesn't mean I'm your woman!” Kagome retorted back. “Your such a baka. GET OVER IT!” And with that Kagome led InuYasha and the rest of the gang to the lunch line to get lunch.

Which so happened to be Nacho Supreme (A.K.A. grounded up cat. Atleast that's what me n my friends call it.) They sat down and started to talk. “You know guys that compition is only in three weeks and we still need one more song.” Miroku said. “ I know, I know…but how can we come up with a new song AND play it perfectly in only three weeks?” Shippo replied.

“Well…ummm….I do have some songs I didn't show you guys. I've had them for a while and I made up all the parts already. Its meant to be sung by a guy.” “Why the hell didn't you tell us earlier Kag?” InuYasha asked. “Cuz I thought they weren't good.” “Well your still gonna show us them when we get to your house. So there's no way to get out of it.” Kirara remarked.

“Alright. But I'm warning you I don't think there good.” “That's what you said about the other songs and there kick ass songs Kagome!” Shippo said. “Alright already! I told you guys I would show them to you so chill out.” InuYasha could tell she was getting a little annoyed so he said “Okay you guys, I think we should figure out what were gonna wear to this thing.”

“O thats no biggy. Kagome, Sango, and I can get the stuff. What kinda stuff do you want?” Kirara said “Um…rock. DUH!” Miroku said. “Okay, we can go shopping this weekend.” Sango said happily. “I know, why don't we all go?!” Kirara said exciditly “Yeah that be great!”

The whole time the 2 girls were rambling on about shopping InuYasha noticed Kagome was quite so he leaned towards her and whispered in her ear “Hey…you okay? I know they were tourchering you about the songs, but is there anything else bothering you?” Kagome just looked up at him and he could tell there was something else.

She just didn't want to say what it was in front of her friends. “Do you wanna go some place else and talk?” She nodded and InuYasha told the gang he was going to go talk to Kagome for a while. “KK. Just don't do anything peverted.” Miroku said “Miroku you have that job covered.”

 

Outside

 

“Kagome what's up? Are you okay. Your really quite.” “Its nothing really…its stupid. You wouldn't want to listen to my problems.” InuYasha looked at her and raised an eyebrow up. “Kagome what are you talking about? I'm your boyfriend AND best friend. Do you really think anything you say or anything that is on your mind is stupid to me?”

Kagome turned her head to look at the ground“This one is.” “Well I don't care. You have to tell me or I will tickle you.” She shot her head up and shook her head franticaly saying no.

“Well then…you'll just have to tell me now won't you.” “Fine I'll tell you. Just don't laugh.” “I promise. Now out with it.” “I'm scared.” He was a little taken aback at what she said.

“What are you scared of? Is it Koga. Cuz if it is you should know better. You know I wont let him near you.” He pulled her into a loving hug and wrapped his arms around her protectivly. “No. It's not that. It's the compition. I've never played or sung in front of any one except you guys and my family.”

InuYasha understood where she was coming from. Honestly he was a little scared him self. “well just pretend were in your basement playing around and you'll do great. I know it!” He said reasuringly and hugged her tighter. “InuYasha…can we skip the rest of the day? We only have 2 classes left and that's band and Languge.” “Yeah, sure. We just gotta tell the others. Hey you never did tell me why you were so scared of that guy in New York. You ever gonna tell me why?” “Yea, ill tell you.”

When they got to InuYasha's house and headed to his room Kagome said “It started when I was 9 years old. He was our next door neighboor for a couple of years. When I turned 15 is when it happened. My mother and Sota were out visiting some family members in the city next to ours. They were gone for the weekend and he new I was by myself.” She paused.

InuYasha saw she was shaking a little and he could smell the salty tears that threatened to come. He pulled her on to his lap on his bed and hugged her tightly. “He c-c-came over and knocked on the door…when I opened it he pushed his way into our house.” By this time she was shaking violently and InuYasha just hugged her tighter until she started again

“ H h h backed me up against the wall and…and…he ra…raped…raped me.” When she was finished she was sobbing uncontrolably into his chest and had a death grip on him. He was shocked. He didn't understand how she hid it so well, or how she didn't tell anyone. The thought that some one would do this to her made his blood boil. “Kagome…” He finally got out “Did you tell anyone?” She shock her head no and sobbed “I didn't tell anyone cuz its shameful! Its all my fault!”

She just cried harder into his chest and he didn't understand why she thought it was her fault. “I knew he was weird. He'd always look at me funny. I knew I shouldn't of opened the door. I'm so stupid!” InuYasha gently grabbed her chin and made her look into his face, their eyes locking onto one anothers. “Kagome! What is wrong with you?! It's not your fault. There's nothing you could've done, and you not stupid!” “That's what I keep telling my self. I

guess I just needed to hear it from some one else.” She said although she was still crying.

“It's Okay Kagome. No wonder you were freaked out when Koga tried to kiss you. Don't worry. I will always protect you. No one will ever hurt you.” InuYasha whispered into her ear. “Just try to get some rest. Okay.” She nodded and within a few minutes she was asleep in his arms.
