Maric looked down at Rachal seeing her in deep thought as she stared at him. Maric jumped down to be next to her surprising her out of her thoughts. “Maric, will you come with me I need to ask you something?” Rachal asked while blushing. Maric in return blushed and nodded, then Rachal led him to the hot springs where no one would bother them.

Rachal turned around to Maric and asked,” Maric why haven't you marked me as your mate?” Maric blushed beat red and realized how stupid he had been not to mark her. `Rachal is so beautiful and the fact of her powers and that she is an elf will draw other male demons and power seekers to her.' Maric thought.

Maric whispered,” Do you think you really want to be marked right now?” Rachal sighed,” You and I both know that I will be a lot safer with a mark, it will make some of the demons back off if they have any honor or know who you are Maric.”

Maric sighed and they both walked under a large willow, the inside was cool and looked like a green cave but starlight filtered through the branches. Rachal and Maric sat against the tree side by side. Maric then asked,” Rachal do you know how to mark your mate?” Rachal nodded and replied,” I need to bite your neck just hard enough to draw blood. That bite mark will leave a scar and it will carry your scent that will tell the demons that I have a mate and who it is.”

Maric nodded glad that Rachal understood. “Do, do you want to go first?” Rachal stuttered. Maric nodded and took a deep breath and leaned over on Rachal's left side of her neck next to the Kokiri's Emerald and lightly bite her neck. Maric eyes widen when he tasted Rachal's blood fear gripped him and he automatically drew away from her to see a light scar already forming. Rachal let out a sigh of relief that it was over but now it was her turn to mark Maric. Rachal took in a breath and leaned over to Maric's right side and gently bit his neck. Rachal let go as soon as she tasted blood and saw a scar was forming already as well.

Rachal smiled and Maric and he smiled back. Rachal gasped as Maric picked her up and walked back to the camp. Everyone was asleep and there was a new person there, she had gray hair in a ponytail and wore a priestess outfit and also wore an eye patch. “That must be the old priestess Kaede .” Rachal whispered. Maric and Rachal then saw that Sesshomaru and Kagura were missing.

“Maric what would you wish for if you got one wish?” Rachal asked. Maric looked at her startled and then replied,” Rachal you should know I have no wishes because I have you and now a family again.”

Rachal sighed happily then she and Maric lay down next to Quentin and Rosemary who were sleeping.

 

Inside Rachal's Mind

 

Maric awoke and looked around he was in a long hallway that was lighted dimly by an unknown source. Maric walked down the hallway and felt a strong wind coming from ahead of him. Maric walked in to a room and saw Rachal standing in the middle of it.

“Rachal!” Maric called. Rachal turned around and smiled but looked confused. Maric now standing beside Rachal asked,” Rachal where are we?” Rachal sighed,” We are in my mind but I do not know how you got here.”

“That's is because I called him here through your mark that makes Maric your mate.” Said Tirushu coming into view in front of them. “Who the hell are you!” yelled Maric. Rachal sighed and grabbed Maric's arm and told him all of what Tirushu had told her. Maric sighed and both he and Rachal sat down in front of Tirushu.

“Do want to know why I called you right Maric?” asked Tirushu. Maric nodded his head still spinning from what he had found out. Tirushu sighed,” I wanted to tell you that there are many adventures ahead of you two and that you will meet many people but I want to warn you to always watch your backs.” Rachal growled,” So all you wanted was to drag us here so you could give us a lecture?”

Maric put a hand on Rachal's shoulder and said,” But there is wisdom in his words.” Rachal sighed,” I don't doubt it, but you really should have warned us that you would bring us here for only that.” Tirushu chuckled,” You two are really are meant for each other.” Making the two mates blush.

Rachal and Maric then soon fell asleep as Tirushu slept forming a circle around them.
