My first 100-word 'ficlet.' Never thought I'd be writing these, but hey, maybe this'll give yall something to nibble on while I take so long with everything else.. ^^;

The redness was fading from his eyes. He could see - more importantly, think - again.

He came to and there was clay under his claws. Clay.

He looked down at what seemed to be broken pieces of pottery and… blood? He watched in confusion as the blood slowly changed into dark, moist dirt, the gore-scent disappearing to be replaced with that of musty old grave-soil.

He frowned, trying to remember what had happened after he'd dropped the Tetsusaiga. A voice, broken and heavy with despair, echoed through his head, the only clue to what had transpired.

Why did you betray me..?
