Chapter Two
**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**Flashback**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**
Ea rlier That Day:
Naraku and Inuyasha had started fighting again and it was ending up pretty messy. There was nothing Miroku, Sango and Shippou could do. Miroku's windtunnel was usless because of the insects and Sango's boomerang was broken in half. Kagome on the other hand was trying her best to help Inuyasha.
Kagome's attempts to shoot Naraku with her arrows were feutial and she barely dodged Tetsusaiga as it flew from Inuyasha's hands, then there was a loud crack as Naraku's fist made contact with the side of Inuyasha's head. Inuyasha flew into a tree and slumped numbly to the ground. "Inuyasha!" Kagome yelled running over to him and throwing her arms around him.
"Inuyasha are you okay?" she asked worriedly, shaking him lightely. Inuyasha sat up and put his hand on his head. 'Damn, my vision is blurry.' "I'm fine Kagome, now stand back." he said trying to stand up and push her behind him. Kagome grabbed onto Inuyasha's arm as he stumbled and said, "Inuyasha, your not fine your hurt."
Inuyasha was about to say something, but saw Naraku coming from the corner of his eye and grabbed Kagome as he jumped out of the way, temporarily forgetting about Tetsusaiga and leaving it behind. Inuyasha landed infront of a large rock, put Kagome down and colapsed to his knees clutching the side of his head where Naraku had hit him. Kagome bent down next to him and put her hands over his. "Inuyasha are you okay?" she asked looking at the pained expretion on his face.
Inuyasha nodded slowly and tryed to stand up again. Naraku stood a few feet infront of them smirking evily and looked down when he noticed that Tetsusaiga was lying at his feet. 'Inuyasha's sword? Ha, without it he doesn't have a chance and he's already having trouble standing. I wonder...'
Inuyasha fell down once again after telling Kagome he was fine and Naraku picked up Tetsusaiga and held it, though not fully transformed, pointing at Inuyasha. Kagome was sitting next to Inuyasha on the ground and saw Naraku holding Tetsusaiga. 'But...how can he hold Tetsusaiga!?' she thought just as Naraku tossed the sword like a dagger strait towards Inuyasha. Naraku dissapeared right after throwing the sword.
Inuyasha tryed to stand up and get out of the way, but fell down again. So Kagome pushed him out of the way, Tetsusaiga took a gash out of her side and stabbed into the rock behind them, Kagome fell to the ground.
Inuyasha sat up and saw Kagome lying on the ground bleeding badly from her side. Inuyasha hurried to her side, sat down on his knees, took off his fire rat kimono and wrapped it around her side to stop the bleeding. Inuyasha picked her up and craddled her in his lap. "Kagome? Kagome, say somthing. Kagome?" he said quietly, shaking her slightely.
Kagome opened her eyes, looked up at Inuyasha and saw the worry in his eyes. "Inuyasha I'm alright." she said sitting up slightely in his lap. Inuyasha held onto her and said, "Kagome, your bleeding. I'm gonna take you to your time." Kagome put her hand on his chest and shook her head. "No, I'm fine it's just a scratch, Inuyasha, I don't need to go home." Kagome winced and grabbed her side in pain when Inuyasha put pressure on it.
Inuyasha looked at her sympathetically and asked, "Kagome, you've been avoiding going home ever since you came back. Your hurt and if you don't give a good reason not to I'm taking you home." Kagome looked up at him, her eyes filled with tears, and leaned against his chest. "The last time you took me home Grampa wouldn't let me come back and I thought I'd never see you again." she said closing her eyes.
Inuyasha looked down at her and stood up with her just as Miroku, Sango and Shippou ran over to them. Miroku looked at Kagome, then at Inuyasha and said, "What are we going to do. Kagome's bleeding badly." Inuyasha stared at him, then looked at Kagome. "I'm taking her home." he said running into the forest as quickly as he could.
