The Fight OF The Wolves

Raven: well, I didn't think anybody would like it. Guess I was wrong, right Raven

Raven: and also here to help me is my Yami's boy friend. Yami Yugi
Yami: *smiles at the readers * you would know me only if you watch yugioh, or know yugioh for
that matter
Y. Raven: *smiles and glomps Yami* MY YAMI

Raven: *sighs* oh well here's chappy two. Since my Yami is currently in lala land I guess I have
to say that disclaimer
I do not own inuyasha. Cause if I did. I would be richer. ^_^ and Amaya would be an actual
character

Rin awoke late, morning was already nearly over, and sesshoumaru had gone. Jakken was sitting
by a tree near by, looking bored nearly to death. Rin rose, only to be berated by jakken.
" it's about time you woke up, lazy brat."
Rin ignored him.
"Where's Sesshoumaru-sama"
this only seemed to irritate Jakken.
"That is none of your business human pup, no go feed yourself before you start to complain"
Rin gave Jakken a cold look, but she did not say anything. Instead she darted into the forest, in
search of berries, edible plants, and anything else she could eat. After several hours of searching,
and not having much luck, she stopped and sat down, thinking. A sound caught her attention.
Getting up she moved to see what it was. Rin searched until she came a crossed Sesshoumaru. He
didn't seem to realize she was there, he was still following what ever he was tracking. Suddenly
something dawned on Rin. ~Sesshoumaru-sama must have smelt miss Amaya. I got to warn her.
And then maybe they could help me get breakfast.~ Rin took off running, not really knowing
where she was going, but followed the direction Sesshoumaru had been headed. A slight
shimmer caught her eyes. she stopped and looked around. The shimmer came from a couple
strands of long sliver hair, caught in a branch. She looked at it and thought. ~is that Sesshoumaru-
sama's hair or miss Amaya's, oh Rin is confused.~ a shuffle near by caused her to jump. She
stared at a couple bushes near by, with in trepidation. Suddenly out jumped Azize, in her muzzle
was more sliver hair.
"Well hello Rin, what are you doing here"
"Rin is looking for you and Amaya-sama, while looking for breakfast, cause Sesshoumaru-sama is
tracking Amaya-sama..."
Rin stopped when Azize nodded.
"Amaya knows Rin. She told me to lead him off her trail. It's hard. But I think it might work"
Rin looked around, then looked at Azize hopefully.
"Can Azize-sama take me to Amaya-sama and Kata-sama."
Azize cocked her head, getting a thoughtful look upon her face, then nodded.
"If we're quick"
Azize bowed down.
"Get on my back Rin. It'll be faster"
Rin slid carefully upon the back of the large white wolf. As soon as she was settled Azize shot off
with remarkable speed. Weaving through trees, and bushes, over a brook, and through a meadow.
Finally running through a lone stand of trees Azize came to a halt in a sheltered nook with in.
Amaya lay quietly, her back against a tree, eyes closed. Rin slid off Azize's back and looked
around.
"Azize, why's Rin back here? And why are you back here"
Kata came up to the wolf and girl, looking nervous. Azize just shrugged and ran back out of the
stand, and back to throwing Sesshoumaru off. Kata sighed and looked at Rin with a smile.
"Konichiwa Rin. What brings you here"
Rin looked at the ground, sheepishly.
"Rin-sama was having trouble finding breakfast when she ran into Azize. I asked her to bring me
here, I thought you might have something I could have"
a low chuckle signaled Amaya was quite awake.
"The values of traveling with demons. Not needing to carry around food cause we don't like it.
Well at least not human food"
Amaya made a disgusted sound in the back of her throat. Kata just chuckled and nodded.
"Yes Rin, I can get you something ."
Kata ignored the annoyed growl of Amaya, knowing full and well that the demoness really wasn't
as annoyed as she let on, and went to her pack. She pulled out a package of dried fruits, and nuts
(think old time trail mix ^_^) and handed it to Rin , who took it gratefully. As Rin ate the food
Kata had given her she listened to her surroundings. Just as had almost finished the little package
of food, a twig snapped near by. Amaya sat up straight, soft white ears (slightly degrading to the
demoness too, think fluffy neko ears) pricked forward. Rin stared at Amaya and was about to say
something when Kata put a hand over her mouth and whispered in her ear.
"Shush Rin. Amaya's listening."
Amaya did not settle, instead she got up and started to move around. Rin felt Kata grow tense.
"What's wrong Amaya?"
"Something is coming? I can hear it"
"what is it?"
Amaya shook her head. "Can't smell it. What ever it is, it's down wind"
Kata got tenser, and rushed over to her pack, quickly putting it back together. Amaya came and
stood by Rin, like a guardian, eyes darting around the forest edges. Kata finally managed to get
her pack together and come to Amaya's side. The demoness had her eyes trained to a curtain part
of the forest. Rin cowered behind Kata, she could feel the fear, the cold blinding fear, that
admitted from both human and demon. It worried Rin more that even Amaya was scared, though
she showed no sign, it took a lot to scare a demon. Rin finally gathered up her courage and asked
quietly.
"Why is Amaya-sama scared?"
Amaya didn't look at her, her eyes not leaving the spot where the sound came from. Kata looked
at Amaya, eyes showing blatant terror.
"I fear what I do not know. I do not know what is here. But I do know one thing......."
"what's that, if Rin may ask"
"we're being hunted"
Kata squeaked in fear. Suddenly a wolf leaped from behind them and slammed into Kata's back.
Kata screamed in fear, though it was drowned out by the growls of more wolves. Rin clung to
Amaya, who raised a hand, blue light covered her palm and fingers, it glowed brightly then
millions of icicle shards flew at the wolf on Kata, making it yelp and dart away. Kata got up and
ran out of the stand.
"KATA NO!!! STAY PUT!!"
Amaya moved to chase after her. But the wolves lunged at her snapping at her arms and legs.
Laughter caused Rin and Amaya to look around. Close to Amaya were two demons, both male,
both wolfen.
"Thought you could hide did you" said one.
"You were wrong. We finish what we start" said the other.
They lunged at Amaya, who swept up Rin and flew from the stand, following kata. Rin screamed
and clung to Amaya, who ran at an unbelievable speed. The wolf demons soon over took them
though, cutting Amaya off. Amaya set Rin down.
"RUN RIN RUN"
Rin didn't need further encouragement. She ran. The male demons pointed at the child.
"GET THE CHILD"
the wolves that had joined the demons took off after Rin. Rin glanced back and screamed again.
She saw wolves, but she also saw one of the demons leap at Amaya, who dodged quickly. Rin
kept running, not looking where she was going, not caring . The wolves started to get closer and
closer. Rin almost feared she was going to die when a greenish whip sailed through the air and
lashed at the wolves. They turned tail and run away yipping. Rin looked up and saw Sesshoumaru
looking down at her.
"Rin. What are you doing here"
he looked mad. Rin gulped and stood up.
"Rin was looking for breakfast Sesshoumaru-sama. When two wolf demons attack Rin and send
their wolves after Rin. Rin run but she could not find her way back"
Sesshoumaru's mood didn't seem to change, he just motioned for her to follow him. Rin kept
looking back, hoping to catch some sign of Amaya. They had reached an open plain when she
spied kata. Kata glanced at Rin but paced nervously. Azize sat near by, whining unhappily.
Sesshoumaru scowled and moved towards Kata and Azize when a loud CRASH echoed over the
plains and through the forest. Birds flew up from where it had come from, cawing in alarm. All
eyes were on the forest. More crashes and cracks came from the forest before a large white form
surged from the forest. It looked like a wolf, only savager. It's eyes shown like giant blue orbs. It
was larger then a regular wolf demon by a few feet in height. It's legs were longer, it's body
leaner. It was made for speed, stealth and ambush. An other form leaped from the forest and
landed on the back of the white wolf. The legs started to buckle but it leaped up and tossed the
other demon from it's back. One more demon came darting from the forest and snapped at the
white wolf's tail. It jumped, leaping high into the hair, it waved it's tail and sent shards of ice at
them. The two wolf demons ducked and snarled in rage. Kata shook in fear, going against better
judgement she ran forward a few steps and yelled.
"AMAYA RUN. YOU DON'T STAND A CHANCE AGAINST BOTH OF THEM"
Amaya didn't seem to hear kata. When she landed she spun and blew a cloud of icy blue at them.
One leaped out of it's path. The other lunged forward. Only to come out of the cloud with a thud,
sound asleep. Sesshoumaru's eyes widened ~the Clouds of Sleep. How was it possible for the
white one to know that. It's rumored to be forgotten.~ Amaya had lunged at the other wolf,
clamping her jaws into his neck. The lesser wolf demon howled and rolled. Sending Amaya flying
into the sound asleep lesser wolf demon, who awoke with a start. Amaya stood and snarled,
watching the lesser wolf demons circle her. Kata and Azize watched with horror as both wolf
demons lunged at Amaya and ripped at her neck and sides. Sesshoumaru looked at Kata and
Azize, then at Rin, who looked as stricken as them, then at Amaya. The white wolf was a force
to be reckoned with when against one wolf demon but against two, it just wasn't fair. He watched
as the larger white wolf fought for her life. Blood tinging her silver coat blood red. Kata started
to cry, slipping to the ground when something whipped past them. Rin and Jakken exclaimed
when they saw Sesshoumaru fly right into the battle. Amaya clamped her teeth into the underside
of the neck on the grayish lesser wolf demon, a single eye watching Sesshoumaru leap up and dig
his claws into the neck of the other. The demon's neck melted away and fell to the ground with a
thud. Sesshoumaru turned on the other demon, eyes filled with anger. Amaya watched as
Sesshoumaru stalked towards them, fighting to stay awake. But the blackness would not stay
away. Amaya succumbed to the blackness of oblivion.

Y.Raven: my hikari gave me permission to tell you NO she is not dead. That would make one
crappy story. But she's stuck on what to do next. So give her time. And wait for chappy three.
Amaya and Sesshoumaru's fateful meeting.

Yami: *clears throat and looks as innocent as a summer day* um. Pl leave a contribution in the
