Hi I've finally put up chapter three but I need more reviews it's practically what gets me motivated. My boyfriend…EX- boyfriend dumped me for a girl that I know and thought of as an extra friend, but not any more! So I'm a little pissed and depressed. So other than that this is the chapter where you get to hear Kagome sing! Will she be good? Will she be bad? Well you'll have to read to find out!

 

 

Last Chapter

Next was Kagome she had all her songs on one slip of paper, and walked up to the DJ and handed it to him. She got up on the stage waiting for him to find all the right CD's with the four chosen songs. Sitting there with the mike, Kagome waited patiently as the music started, getting ready to sing the first verse of the first song…

 

 

Sesshomaru sat at his seat intently watching, as the girl got ready to sing her chosen songs. He noticed she was a little nervous, but her confidence over powered it. In the light of the stage she looked quite small, but up close she was a little over average height and had quite a body.

 

Driving those thoughts out of his head, Sesshomaru waited for the music to start so he could see how well she sang…and if she was worthy. The other women that sang were pretty good, but not quite what his father was looking for at his Casino.

 

Often times he sent Sesshomaru to go down to any local karaoke bars to see it he could find any new talent. His fathers Casino hadn't been doing so well since a stalker had been chasing away all his female clients that were meant for entertainment. So he needed to find someone good, and fast.

 

He also had to find someone that wasn't very attractive, but him and his father were not sure that that would make a difference. And there was no way in hell they were paying a clown or a magician again…

 

 

Kagome stood still waiting for the DJ to get the right CDs (A/N: sorry people I lost the paper with the original songs she was going to sing on it, but I think I got all the songs right…I had to add one more song in case it was or wasn't one of the songs. Oh well please read on…).

 

The DJ gave her the thumbs up to get ready to sing. Grabbing the mike she looked at the screen to see what song he was playing first. She saw the title and sly smile took over her calm expression. Sesshomaru looked at her and thought for a fraction of a second she was smirking at him, but alas he decided his eyes were playing tricks on him. As the music started Kagome waited, then sang the best she ever had…

Sesshomaru stared his calm mask not slipping off even though he was thoroughly surprised. He had to admit she was truly a good singer. She hit all the notes right on, and could change her voice from high to low and back again without difficulty. He had a feely that he was going to be seeing her a lot more lately.

 

He remembered Miroku telling him that he knew a very good singer that he would have him meet sometime if he didn't find anyone. Somehow he knew immediately that this was the girl. But he didn't think she would practically beat the shit out of him when he wasn't using any demon strength at all. He didn't know very many men that could even do that.

 

 

Kagome was very happy with her self and couldn't wait to sing some more. Soon more music started and she was singing again (A/N: I'm just going to put one song after another without a pause because I want to k? ).

Kagome finished the last song with a mix of relief and regret, she regretted choosing so many songs and she was relived that she was finally done! She heard ton of applause from everyone at the karaoke bar. It always made her feel good to hear that people liked what she was doing.

 

She looked over to the table her friends were sitting at while she got down of the platform. She saw Sesshomaru and Miroku whispering to each other and looking over at her every now and then. This made her very curious. She had always been a nosy person and she liked to be in peoples business, at least when it was about her. She made her way over to the table and sat down next to Sango. Immediately the two stopped talking and Miroku smiled at her innocently.

 

“What were you two talking about, Miroku?” She said sickeningly sweet.

 

“Uhhh… Kagome?”

 

“Yes?”

 

“You know how you were looking for a job to do with singing?” He said nervously.

 

“Yeah…?”She said starting to get a little impatient.

 

“Well, um, you know how I told you I knew a guy who was looking for a singer for his fathers casino? And that I would have you meet him at some point if he hadn't found anyone?” He said once again acting oh so innocent.

 

“Mm-hm…” She said not liking where this was going.

 

“Well…uh…here he is!” He said, pointing at Sesshomaru waiting for Kagome to kill him.

 

Kagome let this register in her mind for a moment, before she looked at Sesshomaru smiling brightly. This greatly surprised him, though he did not show it in any way.

 

Kagome stuck her hand out toward him and said, waiting for him to shake it,

 

“Hi, sorry about earlier, we got off on the wrong foot, I'm Kagome Higurashi! I'm looking for a singing career, and I would very much like it if you would give me a chance to get a job at your fathers casino.” She said very formally. All her friends, besides Miroku and Sesshomaru, were staring at her trying to figure out what she was talking about.

 

Sesshomaru took her hand and shook it not answering her request. He knew her friends would want to know what was going on before they got into a big discussion over the pay and circumstances.

 

“Uh what's going on?” Asked Rhean.

 

Kagome realized that her friends had no idea what was going on, so she decided to explain what they were talking about. After about ten minutes she was done.

 

Sesshomaru stared at her, trying to figure out if she was willing to take a job that might not even be safe (A/N: stalker).

 

“Would you be able to protect your self if we had an incidence with the stalker that has been ruining mine and my fathers business?” He asked skeptically.

 

“Yes, I'm quite sure I would be able to do that.” She said nodding her head slightly in response. “But I would like to know if the salary is good or not.”

 

“It was very nice pay to begin with, but since there is a stalker we have raised the pay a bit more.” He said starting to get down to business.

 

“Well what are the hours?” she asked politely.

 

“I'm not sure, you would have to discuss that with my father.” Sesshomaru replied.

 

“When would I be able to contact him?”

 

“If you would like, you may speak with him tonight.”

 

“Oh ok…well I was going to spend time with some friends but…” She trailed off slightly.

 

“You may invite these friends of yours if you wish. It will most likely be a long visit depending on my father.” He said reassuring her.

 

“Oh…ok well when should we leave?”

 

“Now. It is beginning to get dark.” He said getting up and gathering his stuff. As he did that the others did the same.

 

 

When they arrived at the parking lot every one decided on the car arrangements. Sesshomaru, Scio, Sora, and Rhean would all go in one car. Miroku, Shippo, and Rin would all go in another, and Kagome and Sango would go in another.

 

Sesshomaru told Kagome the name of the Casino, and she knew right away where it was. She decided she would drive, since she knew where it was.

 

Her car was the first out of the parking lot, followed by Miroku's, then Sesshomarus.

 

In about ten minutes they were there.

 

They all got out of their cars, and went through the front doors. Inside was a Casino/Hotel/Bar/stage-entertainment…thing. Sesshomaru led them to a winding staircase, in which Kagome noticed was glass. She stared the whole time as they went up. After a while of walking up the stairs and getting fairly dizzy, they came to a hall in which they walked down. Sesshomaru led the to two large Oak doors, with gorgeous designs all around the edges. Sesshomaru knocked lightly on the door and they heard a deep voice answer with a `come in.'.

 

The first thing that met Kagomes eyes were book shelves around all the walls, except for the door, a dark cherry wood desk, with a big leather chair behind it. In the chair was a handsome, young looking, male dog demon. Hair up in a high ponytail, one jagged purple stripe on each cheek, giant fluffy tail, like Sesshomarus, and luscious golden eyes you could drown in. He wore a plain, but obviously expensive suit, with a deep dark blue tie to compliment his out fit.

 

But what caught Kagomes eye were the two people who were sitting in chairs across from the man who was obviously Sesshomarus father. One of the people Kagome had met today, the other, it almost seemed like she was looking in a mirror. The first person was that man at the check out stand, what was his name? Inu…Inu…Inuyasha! That was it. The other was a woman who looked almost exactly like her self. But this woman seemed very dark…

 

“Ah, Sesshomaru! What brings you here my boy?” His father asked with that deep voice of his.

 

“I have found a woman who would like to take on of the job that is available.” Sesshomaru said in a voice that almost seemed like he was bored.

 

“Ah, I see…” His father said nodding his head slightly. “Well so has your brother, Inuyasha. Hmm…this could be a problem…” He said looking from girl to girl. “Well maybe not.” He said smiling.

 

“You both have come here for the job of entertainment, yes?” He said to both women. Kagome and the girl both nodded.

 

Inuyasha looked at Kagome surprised to se her there.

 

“Come sit down…uhh…”

 

“Kagome.” She answered for him.

 

“Yes! Kagome, come sit down.” He motioned for Inuyasha to give up his seat, as Kagome walked over to where she was beckoned.

 

“Well I think you both came her to find out the hours, yes?” He asked them both, locking his hands together on his desk.

 

Both Kagome and the girl nodded.

 

“Now, Kagome, I just got done talking to Kikyo about the job and about the little problem-”

 

“I know about the stalker, and I am perfectly capable of defending my self.” She said cutting him off.

 

“Well then. Do you two think you could do a duet at any point in time? Or would you two rather take turns solo?” Inu-taisho asked (A/N: lets pretend kagome knows his name).

 

The two women looked at each other before replying at the same time:

 

“Both.”

 

All the people in the room were a little surprised at the connection between the two. They had just met and they're acting like twins…they even looked like it too!

 

“Oh…okay then…well you start on Monday then, at 5:00. Oh and you two will be the ones to decide how you want the show to go. Well other than that I think we're done.” He said getting up. Kagome and Kikyo did the same. Inu-taisho reached across the table to shake each girls hand.

 

Every one departed from the room. Kikyo gave Kagome her number so they could talk about the show later. Kikyo and Inuyasha left without very many words.

 

Every body else got back in the same cars they had been in earlier.

Kagome was taking Sango home, Miroku was taking shippo and Rin home, and Sesshomaru was taking Scio, Rhean, and Sora home.

 

Kagomes car was the first out of the parking lot once again, then Sesshomarus, and last Mirokus.

 

Kagome decided to take the back roads to Sangos house, because it was easier and not so crowded. Since Rhean and Sora said their house was close to Sangos they told him to just follow Kagomes car. Miroku didn't take the back roads, so he wasn't there.

 

 

Kagome and Sango listened to the radio and sang along with it as they drove they winding back roads, Sesshomarus car trailing a little ways away behind them.

 

They were going down a steep hill, and stopped at the stop sign. The trees, vines, ivy, and bushes made it a little hard to see around the corner but it was fine. Kagome put her left blinker on. She noticed a car coming so she waited.

 

“Kagome they have their blinker on you can go.” Sango told her looking at her for a second then turning away just for a moment.

 

Kagome waited for a moment when the car was fairly close, and then decided to go. To concentrated on driving she didn't notice that the car was not in fact turning.

 

Kagome, still driving out to turn saw out of the corner of her eye she saw Sango turn to her about to say something when suddenly-!

 

“KAGOME!!!!!”

 

 

 

HAHAHA!!!!!! I'm so evil1 I just love cliffhangers! Oh so sorry to the angry readers. Oh well anyways thanks for all the reviews!
