Chapter 3



Mikomi and Akuma smiled as Inuyasha walked into their room, waiting for their baths.

“Daddy!” They shouted in unison and pounces on Inuyasha. Falling to the ground playfully, Inuyasha growled and rolled around. He lifted both of them off the ground and set them on the bed. “Princess is first.” He stated and bent over slightly to look into Mikomi’s dark midnight blue eyes. Her silver and black ears twitched with excitement as she lifted her short arms and smiled brightly. Small fangs gleamed in the light as she screeched happily.

“Air pwane!” Waving her arms she giggled excitedly as Inuyasha put his hands under her arms and lifted her swinging her around, high above his head, while Akuma pouted at the lack of attention he was receiving. After a few minutes Inuyasha tossed Mikomi in the air lightly and then swung her around before gently placing her on the bed. Inuyasha then bent over and stared into Akuma’s molten golden eyes.

“And what does ‘The Great Lord Akuma’ want?” He questioned as he smiled at his first born son.

“I want a ride Daddy!” he said and crossed his arms over his chest and looked proud of himself. “A really fast ride” He stated and then pounced onto his fathers back. Inuyasha nodded at his sons request and walked toward the door. He pulled his son out in front of him and held him tightly to his chest as he trotted down the stairs and to the front door. Slowly opening it, he stepped out and dashed off into the yard, jumping high in the air and dashing down the street. The wind meshed Inuyasha’s and Akuma’s hair.

The time flew by as Inuyasha stepped into the house with a happy Akuma in his arms. He panted as he set his son on the floor and changed from his dirty slippers to his clean ones. Kagome stood at the top of the stairs with a raised eye brow and stood akimbo, while tapping her foot on the hard wood floor.

“Have a nice run?” she questioned and Mikomi stepped out from behind her, hair damp, the hair that framed her face was in braids and the rest of it was up in two little buns on the sides of her head.

A big smile crossed her face as she flew down the stairs and into Inuyasha’s arms. “Daddy!” she shouted happily and nuzzled her small nose into his neck as she rapped her little arms around his neck. Kagome looked at Akuma and pointed toward the bathroom. He sulkily walked up the stairs and to the bathroom where clothes her waiting for him along with his shampoo. Kagome on his heels, closed the door upon entering.

Mikomi’s red shirt was soft against Inuyasha’s hands and her denim shorts stopped at her knees. Inuyasha smiled and then slowly lowered her. Scampering toward the kitchen, Mikomi pet Kouga lightly and continued to skip off toward the kitchen. “Daddy, can you make me a san’wich?” she called as she climbed up onto the stood in front of the sink and grabbed reached for one of the cups not too far away. She filled it and took little drinks when Inuyasha walked in.

Kouga walked in and sat down on the floor, watching them. Inuyasha handed her the newly made sandwich while putting it on the table and lifting her from the stool to a chair. Kouga watched, growling softly as he looked away.

The door opened and Kagome stepped in. Both of her sons in her arms as she smiled at Inuyasha. Akuma looked close to sleep but Kai was ready to play more. Smiling proudly, Inuyasha walked over and took Kai from Kagome, who looked worn out. Kai clung to Inuyasha and smiled happily.

Kouga stared up at Kai longingly and lowered his head. He turned away from them and headed toward the open kitchen door. Kai averted his eyes from Inuyasha to the animal and smiled. “Don’t be sad Kouga, daddy ‘ill play with you too!” The boy chirped as he jumped from his father’s grasp and onto the floor next to the dog. “Won’t you daddy? Will you play with Kouga too?” Kai looked up at him innocently with a small pout on his lips.

Rolling his amber eyes, Inuyasha sighed and nodded. Kai screeched in excitement and ran toward the door that led to the back yard. “Lets go!” Kai opened the door and a gust of frosty wind blew past him. He shivered and instantly tried to shut it. “Never mind... too cold..” Kai shivered again and walked over to Kouga. He wrapped his small arms around his massive neck and shivered. “Keep me warm.” Kai started to pull the dog toward the door to the living room and shivered more.

Kagome smiled and shook her head and turned to her daughter, who was finishing eating her sandwich. “Time for bed Miko” Kagome said and watched at her smiling face turned into a pout. Her ears lowered and her lip quivered slightly.

“Do I have ta mommy?” Mikomi whined and whimpered.

“Inuyasha... you deal with her.” Kagome said as she turned away. Inuyasha sighed heavily and walked over to Mikomi and lifted her from the chair. The little inu hanyou wrapped her arms around her father’s neck and pouted.

“I don’ wanna go ta sweep yet daddy...” She rubbed her eyes as if wiping away a tear. Inuyasha smiled and kissed her on the temple.

“It’s okay baby girl, if you go to sleep now I’ll make you what ever you want for breakfast, sound fair?” Inuyasha smiled at her and ran his thumb over her cheek softly. “I promise”

Mikomi smiled and rest her head against his shoulder and nuzzled his neck. “Will you make me Boo berry pa cakes?” She asked and rubbed her eyes and yawning. Inuyasha nodded and rubbed his cheek against her silver head of hair.
“Of course I will, anything for you my chibi hime.” He walked up the stairs to her room and opened the door. Red and pink met his golden orbs as he walked over the fluffy red carpet toward the bed. He set her down on the bed and tucked her in to the pink sheets. “I’ll make anything you want, so you think about that while you go to sleep.” He leaned down and kissed her on the top of the head while running his fingers through her hair softly.

Mikomi nodded and smiled as she curled up into the warm sheets and let dream world take her to a land far better than that of which she lived in now. Inuyasha smiled softly and looked down at his daughter, his little princess. He turned and walked out of the room, quietly closing the door behind him.

Inuyasha walked down the hall toward his and Kagome’s room. He passed by Kai’s room and looked in. Kai lay on his bed, his chest moving up and down as his breath evened out in his sleep. The massive animal lay at his feet falling asleep as well. He smiled and closed the door slowly then turned to walk to his room.

As he walked he pondered how to tell Kagome about Kouga, he knew he wouldn’t tell her it was the real Kouga, but he still had to think out what to say. He pushed the door open and slowly walked in. The lamp, next to Kagome’s side of the bed, lit the room. He sighed softly and walked over, Kagome was on the bed, sitting up reading. She was lost in the book just like before and he smiled. Her lips shined in the light and her night gown hugged her breasts just right.

Inuyasha shook his head as he approached the bed. ‘Not anytime to think about shit like that! You aren’t Miroku!’ He told himself as he sat down on the bed and pulled the covers over his body, trying to cover the fact that he had been aroused by his mate. ‘Hey wait! This isn’t wrong. She’s my mate, I’m supposed to think about her like that...’ He argued with himself for a few minutes until Kagome turned to him.

“Inuyasha?” She raised her eye brow and closed her book, then put it down. “Are you okay?” Kagome looked at his face. His cheeks were red and the blankets up to the bridge of his nose, his hands under the blankets. She looked genuinely concerned as she studied him.

“Yeah I’m fine” His cheeks darkened and he looked away from her. His voice was husky as he spoke and his eyes looked glazed over slightly. “It’s nothing, so don’t worry about it.”
