InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Works a B*tch ❯ So thats where it was! ( Chapter 5 )

Konbanwa minna-san! Arigatogozaimasu! I'm so glad you liked my fanfic :D I just saw Lord of the Rings, the Two Towers, and it was cool.

Ok, in this chapter, Kagome will find the Shikon no Tama, but it's in a place you'd NEVER EVER guess it would be. Hehehe on with the fanfic!

I'm still kind of shocked, I mean, I'm already at chapter 5! I usually never finish my fanfics I write, (it's a bad habit, I know) so this is very cool for me ^_^

Chapter 5

Kagome stared in shock at the computer screen. It showed a round ball, like a marble, with a purple/pink tinge. Kagome shook her head, put a hand to her mouth, and mumbled, "That impossible…that cant be the shikon no tama, it just cant be! How on earth could that be the shikon no tama?" Kagome was so intrigued with the picture that she didn't notice, or hear, Inuyasha sneak up behind her. Inuyasha put a hand on her shoulder, saying, "boo!" at the same time.

Kagome froze when she felt the hand on her shoulder, and memories came flooding in. Naraku kissing her neck, the fondling of her breasts, the threats. Kagome just about screamed as she jumped up and slapped Inuyasha in the face. Kagome looked up in shock at Inuyasha's face with a red hand mark, and squeaked. "AahgomennasaiInuyasha!! Ihonestlydidn'tmeantoslapyou,itwasjustthatIwaslookingatthepictureoftheshiko nnotamawhenyousuddenlycameupandscaredmeandIwassoscaredthatIdidn'tknowhowtor eactsoijustslappedyouandaaahlookatyourface!itsallreadandalittleswollen.aaah gomennasaiinuyasha!"

(Here's what it says w/spaces: "Aah gomen nasai Inuyasha!! I honestly didn't mean to slap you, it was just that I was looking at the picture of the shikon no tama when you suddenly came up and scared me and I was so scared that I didn't know how to react so I just slapped you and Aah look at your face! It's all red and a little swollen. Aah gomen nasai Inuyasha!")

Inuyasha looked quite surprised, and shook his head, saying "Maa maa Kagome, its ok. It didn't hurt, but I'm a little surprised at your reaction. I mean, come on, that wasn't THAT scary." He snorted, and Kagome said, "Well, I was concentrating on this picture, and I didn't expect that AT ALL, so it's not my fault." She stuck her tongue out at Inuyasha, and he laughed.

Inuyasha replied by saying, "Jeez Kagome, that's so pathetic! You're such a wuss! Its not even worth scaring someone like you!" He winked at Kagome, and she got the point. What were they doing, acting all friendly? Kagome put on a fake frown, and said, "You jerk Inuyasha! What the hell is your problem? Your always acting like such a jerk! Well, I am going to print out this information, then get the hell away from you!"

Kagome pressed print on her computer, and walked to towards the printer. She turned her head, and winked, then stuck out her tongue. Kagome could hardly keep from laughing as she realized she actually got satisfaction from calling Inuyasha names. She found herself at the printer. Kagome quickly gathered up the papers, and went back to her desk.

The entire day passed by in a second as Kagome studied the papers, and searched for more information. Kagome could hardly believe it when she checked the clock, and it said it was 6:00. Kagome sighed with relief, and gathered her papers.

Kagome still couldn't get that one though out of her head about the Shikon no Tama (but I aint telling you what it is!). Kagome drove home quickly, without saying goodbye to Sango, or anybody else, really. Once Kagome got home, she ran to her room to get out of her clothes, and quickly take a bath. She has had this dirty feeling ever since she got out of Naraku's office.

Kagome scrubbed her neck with soap, trying to wash away the feeling of Naraku's lips on her neck. She doused herself with cold water, shaking as the icy water engulfed her body. Kagome shook her head to get rid of excess water, and then quickly ran to the bath full of hot, steamy, scented water.

Kagome slipped in, and sighed as the coldness went out of her body. For a moment, Kagome did nothing but relax. She slowly opened her eyes, and thought, `Even though I love taking baths, I hate them. They always bring back bad memories…' Kagome remembered how scared she was when Naraku … harassed her. She thought for sure she was going to be raped. Kagome felts tears well up in her eyes, and she lets them flow freely. She was so scared, she couldn't do anything at all to stop him. Kagome wrapped her arms around her legs, and cried.

Kagome stopped crying after some time, only because the water was getting quite cold, when she remembered the Shikon no tama. "Kami-sama! I almost forgot about that! baka Kagome!" she scolded herself, quickly getting out of the tub. She sighed as she wrapped a towel around her body, saying, "This could take a while…"

Later

Kagome coughed, and cried out, "Ouch!" She had hit her head on something, and it was throbbing painfully. Kagome shifted around more, her hands stretched out. Finally they came across something. Kagome cheered, and started moving backwards. Once she finally got out from under the bed, she dusted herself off.

Kagome grinned, and said, "FINALLY! It took me, like, fifteen minutes to find this!" Kagome sighed, and opened the box. Inside the box, lying on cotton, was the Shikon no Tama. Kagome grinned, and said, "Arigatou, ji-chan." (is that grandpa? I don't remember!!)
