Here's a new story, I hope it is to your liking!
Only soft breathes were heard as Xue Fang slowly drifted into a deep slumber, finding the subtle rocking of the ship extremely calming. Her short unruly black hair blanketed her eyes from the soft afternoon rays that fell from her cabin’s small window. Her honey hued eyes snapped open at the loud knocking on her door. Shaking the hair out of her eyes she blinked adjusting to the light in the room. Glaring at the door, she stood, adjusting her cheongsam as it had been riding up past her tanned thighs. Inwardly stomping, she walked gracefully to her door, unlocked it, and faced the one who so rudely awakened her from her nap.
A man form the crew stood awkwardly at the door, shuffling from foot to foot. Noticing the door was opened and the glare he was receiving from his Capitan, he quickly bowed.
“I apologize for disturbing you while you were sleeping Milady, I just thought that I should inform you we will be anchoring at Kyoga Island within the next hour” he rushed out nervously, hoping the information wasn’t too trivial to be punished for.
Luckily for him she smiled slightly and thanked him for bringing it to her attention.
“Tell Huan Yue and Fang Yin that they are needed in my cabin” she said dismissing him with a wave of her hand.
The Capitan retreated back to her large bed at the center of her room. Throwing herself down into the furs and pillows that lay scattered about.
The requested girls reached her room almost immediately after, softly tapping on the door. Letting out a muffled invite to come in, she rose to greet them.
Huan Yue’s soft brown curls bounced as she walked merrily into the room. As always a smile was on her rosy lips, her almond shape eyes dancing curiously about the room. Her elder sister however, walked in calmly, looking at the disheveled state of the Capitan and her room though her onyx eyes with obvious disgust. Her long jet black hair was pulled neatly into a low ponytail, blending with a matching black cheongsam.
Greeting her warmly, Huan Yue asked politely if there was anything she needed, the Capitan nodded and sent her to retrieve lunch. Pausing only to pick up Xue Fang’s discarded liquor bottles that littered the floor, she quickly went to her task.
Turning to the pale girl next to her, she commanded that her things be packed, the girl begrudgingly turned and started packing.
Fang Yin knelt, cursing at the mess her mistress had created over the voyage from their homeland. Clothing, books, scrolls, maps were thrown carelessly about the cabin. She picked and sorted everything with her frail fingers, putting on gloves after she found a rotting orange in one of the corners. She turned and glared at the cause of this catastrophe, who currently was unceremoniously gulping down a large amount of rum.
“Must you be so disgusting!” Fang Yin snapped angrily.
Snorting, Xue Fang stopped drinking momentarily to let out a loud belch, only to return to downing the alcohol . Repulsed, Fang Yin returned to her duties, silently wondering why she served such a barbaric woman.
Huan Yue returned carrying a large tray filled with a variety of dishes, and a tall glass of wine . She set it at her mistress’s nightstand, then sitting next to her on the large bed. Picking up a discarded jade comb next to the bed she started at the Capitan’s knotted hair. Setting down the bottle of rum, she traded it for the glass of wine sipping it. Finding it satisfactory, she guzzled it hungrily. Finishing it quickly, she began eating the food with haste.
Much to Fang Yin’s disgust, Xue Fang smacked loudly as she crammed the food into her mouth.
Mumbling about rude bitches under her breath, she glared in her direction. Xue Fang only smirked and proceeded smacking to see how angry she’d get.
Ignoring her ignorant Capitan, she finished tidying the room and began packing all of the items into large chests.
Huan Yue sat comfortably among the furs, idly brushing her tangled locks. Once her hair was in a decent state she left the Capitan to get another cheongsam from the closet before her sister packed it all away. She pulled a long blue cheongsam from the hanger, then returned to get Xue Fang ready.
The Capitan already stood, pulling the short red dress over her head. Snatching the dress Huan Yue held outstretched, unzipped it and stepped into it, pulling the garment over her shoulders. Huan Yue helped her zip it ,than get the buttons done. Once her dress was in place she shuffled back to the closet in search of her shoes. Spotting them, she gingerly picked up the pair before hurrying back to the Capitan.
Fang Yin had almost finished packing when she noticed a blade leaning against the wall. Suddenly she felt extremely drawn to the sword, it felt as if it was pulling her towards it. She subconsciously started walking over to it, wanting to get a better look. She knelt beside it, her pale bony fingers reaching out greedily. Grasping the scabbard, she felt a wave of power wash over her. She smiled, relishing in the power that flowed from the sword and into her body.
‘Draw the sword’ A voice commanded softly.
She silently nodded in agreement with the voice, not caring where it came from, or who it was for that matter. Her hand moved up to firmly grasp the hilt.
‘That’s it girl, draw the sword’ the voice whispered again.
The sword demonic aura started to make itself known, red jyaki flowing off it in waves. Fang Yin ignored it, to engrossed in the power the sword filled her with.
Xue Fang’s eyes widened when she saw Fang Yin’s grip on her sword. She was on her in a second, bringing her arm back and making a fist, she struck Fan Yin’s jaw with such force that she was sent flying into her dresser, breaking the wood on impact.
Huan Yue gasped, confused why her sister was getting punched clear across the room. Before she could run to help her, Xue Fang held her hand up, signaling her to stop. Obeying she stood still as Xue Fang moved toward her sisters unconscious form.
Grabbing the pale woman by her delicate throat, she roughly shoved her into the wall of the cabin. Smacking her softly on her abused cheek, Fang Yin groaned, slowly returning to consciousness .
Opening her eyes, she glared angrily at her attacker. After several attempts to wiggle her way out of the Capitan’s strong hold on her neck, she was lifted from her feet, Xue Fang’s claws applying more pressure her esophagus.
“I advise you to stay a way from my So’unga, I’ll kill you without a thought if it possesses you as it did to it‘s previous master!” Xue Fang growled out, before rudely dropping her on the hard cabin floor. Then acting as if nothing had transpired she returned to getting her make up done.
Bringing her hand up to her sore throat, wincing, finding that it was very painful to touch. Feeling an ache at the back of her head, she reached to brush her hand against her scalp, not surprised that it was wet to the touch…the Capitan was known to be extremely violent, swift and dangerous. Though a woman, she almost always was first on the battlefield, eager and ready for combat. Not only was she very fast, she was also proficient in almost all the martial arts of her lands. Fang Yin sighed in relief that the Capitan didn’t use the potent poisons that flowed through her veins. She could have effortlessly poisoned her earlier, and she didn’t doubt for a second that she would hesitate in that future if she made the mistake again.
Bringing her hand back down, she stared uncomfortably at her bloodied hand. Standing she excused herself noting the bruises on her neck as she passed the mirror.
Hey! What did you think? ^.~*,
