On a narrow path, the large group had to walk in a single file through the overgrown forest. Beams of sunlight broke through the spaces in the thick canopy above, reflecting off the wet foliage.
Trudging through the dewy forest early that morning, Chihaya and his party were making good progress toward the western coasts, Xue Fang’s group walking a little ways behind them. There was a storm ahead, so the party couldn’t use easier means of travel like their dragons, and there were no roads leading to where they were going so horses and other means of transportation were out of the question.
Chihaya had a feeling that if Lady Fang wasn’t eager for a brawl she would be complaining the whole way there. From the glances he snuck back her way he had noticed the broad smirk she sported, no doubt plotting some poor souls demise.
At her side were oddly two human women, one ghostly white with dramatically contrasting black tendrils falling over her shoulders, cobalt eyes glaring at the demoness in front of her. The other had a spring to her step, making her soft brown curls tossed about her joyful face and her large breast bounce. She chatted idly to the demon in front of her, not caring if she wasn’t listening, or maybe just oblivious to the fact.
Stepping to the side and coming to a halt, he let his soldiers pass in front of him, waiting for the brunette to catch up. If Lady Fang wasn’t paying the pretty girl any mind, he defiantly would. When the demoness and her strange company neared, Xue Fang raised a brow, obviously confused as to why I had stopped.
Ignoring the fiery Lady Fang, he slipped past her and slid a burly arm behind the chattering female. Huan Yue blinked innocently up at him and smiled.
“Hi! I’m Huan Yue who are you?”
Not giving him time to answer the question, Xue Fang stopped abruptly and turned to glare at the tall demon behind her.
“What the fuck are you doing?“ she hissed, placing her hands on her hips like he had seen many agitated women do in the past.
“Borrowing your lovely Huan Yue here for a moment, if you don’t mind” he smirked.
“I do mind asshole, she’s not a whore for your entertainment she’s one of my best friends! You can’t just whisk her off into the bushes!” She was seething, sunset eyes filled with rage.
“That wasn’t my intention Lady Fang, one with such beauty as her shouldn’t be ignored”
“My ass!”
“You obviously weren’t paying her any attention!”
“There is no way in hell I’m allowing her to go anywhere with you! I’ve heard about your lecherous behavior from all the castles women!”
Huan Yue looked a tad confused then finally spoke up “I’m really fine M’lady, I’ll scream if he does anything, plus I’m not exactly defenseless” she winked.
Chihaya grinned triumphantly and ushered the human woman away from the livid demoness and stark white mortal at her side.

“Disgusting…” Fang Yin muttered under her breath, moving her snide glares from Xue Fang to her brainless sister being escorted away by a filthy demon. That idiot would bring shame to their family and ancestors!
The only reason she and her dimwitted sister served a demoness was because she had saved their lives and for that they were in great debt to the woman. Unlike herself, her foolish younger sister seemed to enjoy the repulsive demonesses company, befriending the wench.
Now her sister was off with another of the vile creatures! One that wanted to fuck her no less! Truly horrendous…
The couple was ahead of them by a few paces joking and spouting nonsense, Huan Yue pulled firmly against his side. Fang Yin almost retched at the sight. She would rather her sister dead than become the demons whore.
Her mistress obviously didn’t approved of the demons advances either, perhaps she could be provoked to attack the foul demon lord.

Xue Fang had thought they would make a great couple, that was before she got wind of his promiscuous behavior from some of the women in her wing. She defiantly wouldn’t allow Huan Yue to go anywhere out of her sight with the Lord of the Southern lands. If she remembered correctly, Huan Yue was only sixteen summers, quite young for her kind. Though she’d seen humans marry off or become concubines at a younger age, it didn’t sit well with her. She had no clue why humans let their offspring mate at such a young age, never in all her life had she seen a young demoness mated at that age.
Though she herself was several centuries old in human terms, she still was not considered old enough to take a mate.
She sighed, she shouldn’t be worrying over the ningen so much, she had trained her herself and knew Huan Yue could defend herself if needed. And Chihaya didn’t look like he was trying anything…
Shrugging all thoughts of the couple from her mind, she resumed plotting out the first ships downfall.

As the day dragged on the weather had turned foul, courtesy of Mizu. The entire party was soon soaked by the heavy rain that managed to pass through the thick cover of the ancient trees. The rich soil at their feet turned to mud, getting their shoes filthy. Every one seemed to be in a dreary mood, save Huan Yue, who was once again at her mistresses side blabbering cheerfully. Xue Fang didn’t understand where the girl got her energy from, or how one could talk so much. For the most part she simply ignored the humans yakking, in favor of going over the plans she had generated for the upcoming massacre.
Her thoughts shifted to the water demon at the groups rear, wondering if he had any of his famous sake with him, she’d have to ask when they stopped.
She figured it was almost dusk, and should be stopping shortly. A soft breeze whipped her damp ebony tresses back, bringing the smells of the sea, they were close.
As they neared their destination, Xue Fang became more restless, excited about the fight she knew would occur. She felt a tug at her waist as her So’unga reacted to the strong youki ahead, no doubt wanting a strong vessel to possess. She was relieved, Ryuukossei’s youki was stronger than the last time they met, he would prove to be a formidable opponent.
