InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ You meen the world to me ❯ You meen the world to me ( Chapter 1 )
You mean the World 2 me.
"My name is Kagome Higurashi, I was a normal Middle school student living in Tokyo Japan. Nothing special ever happened to me. That is until I fell down the Bone-eaters well."
"I am so tired!" Kagome wined as she looked at the clock. "5:00 am? Uh I hate catching up on missed work! It is so aggravating." Kagome slammed her head into the desk a couple of times before she turned her head to look at the door.
"Why are you here?" Grandpa Higurashi stood in the doorway looking a little peeved. "I just thought up a good excuse for you to be absent and I don't want you here to ruin it! So go back to the Feudal era for a while." with that he turned on his heal and left. Kagome wore a `why me' look on her face while she started putting her homework away. `First Mom complains that I'm not around enough and Sota barely remembers that he has a sister, and now grandpa wants me to go back to the feudal era just because he figured out a new ailment for me to suffer from."
Kagome walked over to look in her bag to make sure she had everything ready for her trip. She sat Indian style on the floor with her bag on her lap. "Lets see. Extra shirts... check. Socks... check. Pants... check. Skirts... check. Hair brush... check. Matches... check. Blankets... check. Pillow, sleeping bag, bug repellent, sun screen, check, check, check and check. That's it" Kagome leaned against the wall. "For once I'd like to have just one weekend at home without having my family asking me why I'm here or Inuyasha calling me names."
"Kagome!" Mrs. Higurashi was standing at the bottom of the stairs with her hands on her hips she had a cross look on her face. Kagome walked out of her room and stood staring at her mother from the top of the stairs. "Why didn't you tell me that you were going back already? Well hurry up. I packed a cooler for your trip, and I also put some fresh you-know-what's in the first aid box."
Kagome grabbed the box and the cooler from her mom and mumbled reluctant thanks. She ran outside and down to the well. "Well another fun adventure waiting for me, full of demons that threaten my very existence, amorous monks, depressed demon hunters, an orphan, and a loud-mouthed dog demon that has himself tangled up in a love triangle." with that she leapt down the well.
On the other side Inuyasha was standing, with his arms crossed and his usual scowl, on the lip of well waiting for Kagome. He stood there and watched as her figure slowly appeared at the bottom of the well. "Well it took you long enough you've been gone for two days! That's two days we could have been searching for the jewel and Naraku!" Kagome who didn't feel like being verbally abused gave Inuyasha "the-look" that shut him up. She climbed up the well and walked to Keade 's hut with Inuyasha walking a few steps behind her for security reasons.
"Kagome!" she was greeted by an over anxious Shippou who had jumped into her arms the second she walked in the door.
"Hello Lady Kagome" Miroku stood up and gave her a short bow.
"You're back early. What happened?" Sango walked over to Kagome and put her hand on her shoulder.
Kagome shrugged "No nothing happened I just decided to come back early this time." she laughed nervously and Sango gave her a queer look. "Uh......so are we going to get going or are we just going to hang around here all day?"
"That's the most sensible thing I've heard you say yet!" Inuyasha snorted. "Well you suggested it so were going Now!" he shouted as Shippou made a whimpering sound, and to make his point even clearer he grabbed Kagome's bag and walked out the door. Everyone shook their heads and fallowed Inuyasha out of the hut. They waved so long to Keade and walked down the road.
The day was warm and everything was nice and sweet, that was enough to make Inuyasha puke! They all walked along in silence and Kagome couldn't help but close her eyes and breathed in the fresh unsoiled are of the past. `It smells so fresh and clean here! This is definitely one of the reasons why I love coming to this place.' Kagome stopped and stood in the middle of the road motionless just soaking up all the richness that was surrounding her. She sighed solemnly wishing that she could stand there for hours. "Oh well" she said aloud.
She opened her eyes and to her horror she found that she was floating some how in a pitch black void of space. "What the?" Kagome yelped as she looked below her only to see nothingness. "Ok now that is weird. But what ever you do, do not panic." she told her self as she looked up to see a crystal lake with an island and a fairly large tree.
The second she thought about it she immediately started falling to it as if she were floating upside down in a starless sky and had just gotten shot down by gravities ungodly will. She landed in the tree upside only to have the branch she was on snap making her fall to ground with a painful thud.
"Ow!" she moaned as she rubbed her aching head. Kagome was sitting in the proper Japanese style looking at the tree. "This tree looks familiar and yet..." Kagome stood up and put her hand on the trees trunk and immediately regretted it. The tree shook and the leaves turned to stone and fell around her. She backed up and watched as the tree's form began to change and take on her own. Kagome was amazed as her copy opened its deep crimson eyes (and yes I know Kagome's eyes are grayish blue) and began to walk toward her with its hand out.
Kagome screamed and backed up tripping on a rock and ended up falling into the crystal lake. But she didn't meet with the icy cold water instead she was falling through a clear blue sky towards a small hut. She prepared for the bone shattering impact as best she could but instead of smacking into it she passed through the roof. Her astro-form slammed back into her body.
Kagome sat up and gasped. She lay back down and got her breath back in short gasps. After a while she got up and slowly made her way to the door. She stood still for a while to let her eyes get used to the suns light.
Sango was the first to notice that she was up and came rushing over to her immediately. "Kagome are you alright?" Kagome nodded and looked around. "What happened? How did I get here?" she asked and put her hand on her head. Sango looked at Miroku who was sitting on the ground leaning up against a tree with Shippou in his lap watching the girls. "Well you passed out and went pale, Inuyasha carried you back here to Kaede's hut and you've been out cold for about two days."
"What?" Kagome stood there rooted to the spot. "Then that place! Was it just a dream? Or something more?" Kagome shook her head, she felt really dizzy. "Sango-Chan, Miroku-Samma, I think I'll go back inside and lay down for a while I feel kind of dizzy."
"Yeah I think you should rest a little longer." Sango agreed and walked inside with Kagome.
