Author's notes

My ANs tend to get wordy (duh), so I'm going to put them between chappies to cut down on aggravation. If you want to read my thoughts/explanations, then I'm ecstatic! If you don't, then feel free to skip, but don't complain if you miss something!

Long chapter coming up. Had to fix the locations/motivations of some major players here. Want to clarify something for those of you I have hopelessly tied up in knots:

In case you didn't realize (and I didn't make it easy to), the moment Sesshoumaru's arm is restored by `dream' Kagome wielding the Shikon and the moment Naraku almost gets his cute half-demon ass purified by the Shikon are one and the same. (Same goes for Kagome transforming Tessaiga in the dream, and her sleepwalking zombie impression.) Get the connection? Enough foreshadowing? Good, because you will be quizzed on it later. Don't forget it.

I know this story seems to be jumping around a lot, but I just can't seem to help it. This project is crazy right now. I've got Naraku bitching at me about his wardrobe (it seems he wants more pink-says it complements his `delicate skin tone'), Sesshoumaru is still pissy about Chapter 7, and I don't even want to get into Inuyasha's temper tantrums. Let's just say, if it weren't for Kagome's rosary, I would be holding an emergency re-cast for the role of `PMSing Hanyou'.

In a nutshell, sorry if I'm confusing you, that's why I've tried to include a portion of the most relevant prior chapters before displaying the new text. Maybe some day I'll go back and try to re-order the plot, but I'd rather push ahead first. I promise to make a serious effort to control the plot-jumping from here on out, okay?
