them, too.

-Chapter 11-

Cid turned around as Sora and Riku walked into the room that evening
along with the rest of their group.

King Mickey had arrived an hour earlier, having made a stop at
Maleficent's castle a few hours after Sephiroth's departure.

Maleficent had bathed and dressed by that time, and did her best not
to show any discomfort. The pleasure of her time with Sephiroth made
her more agreeable than usual. But she did not have any answers for
his questions about the new monsters that had been attacking.

"Sora! Riku!" King Mickey hugged them both while those who did not
yet know about the keybladers' transformations stared in stunned
amazement. "It's good to see you both again. I'm very sorry that
you lost your body again, Riku."

"Thank you," Riku nodded "My mother's husband, don't ask me to call
him my stepfather. I wouldn't before he tried to murder me and I
won't now. I don't know why, but I'm pretty sure he's connected to it
somehow."

"Do you have a picture of him?" Leon asked.

Riku shook his head, but his mother supplied a photo. Leon didn't
recognize it, nor did Selphie, Donald, or Goofy.

Cloud tossed it to Aerith, with a nod.

She looked at it, and nodded back in confirmation. "Hojo."

Flora, Fauna, and Merriweather watched from the windowsill as
Maleficent went about redecorating one of the rooms in her castle
to serve as a nursery, singing a lullaby she'd once heard being
sung to Princess Aurora and ignoring the discomfort between her
legs.

She didn't need a doctor to tell her how successful her time with
Sephiroth had been. She had known it before he'd even withdrawn his
body from within her.

Her eyes fell on the two cribs that rested by the wall.

"Perhaps I can find suitable mobiles for my children in Halloween
Town?" she thought to herself. "I must stop there in the future. The
room looks otherwise good for now."

She backed out and closed the doors, locking them with her staff.

"Dear me," Merriweather commented to the other fairies. "Whatever
shall we do?"

"Now now, dear," Flora reassured her, "All we can do is let things
take their course and hope for the best."

"Not his good side, is it?" Sephiroth asked, barging in and making
himself at home, despite the glares he was earning from those who
were present.

"Leave now," Cloud warned. "No one invited you."

"Actually," King Mickey admitted, "I did."

"HUH?!" Everyone reacted simultaneously.

"Madness," Cloud muttered, "utter madness."

"My children are in danger the same as anyone else's," Sephiroth
pointed out. "And yes, I am including little Kadaj in that statement."

"Your... children?" Cloud sank against the wall and shook his head.
"Dear Planet. One of you was bad enough. Did you have to go and make
more?"
