-Chapter 12-
"Where is Kadaj?" Aerith asked.
"At home," Sephiroth replied. "Auron is looking after him. He's been
a good sitter so far, but I'm not looking forward to his reaction
when I tell him he's going to have two more to look after."
"Two more?" Cloud's jaw dropped. After a long pause, he picked it up
again and wandered over to see what Cid was working on at his
computer, muttering to himself about how he would like very much to
get Sephiroth a vasectomy for his next birthday.
"Mr. Roth?" Riku's mother asked.
Sephiroth smiled at the understandable gaffe. "That's Sephiroth." he
explained.
"I'm sorry, Sephiroth. I was just wondering if you could explain your
connection to my son, Riku, a bit more? I don't know what Heartless or
Nobodies are meant to be, or why my son's ability to love is such a
wonder to everyone."
"Well, since you asked nicely," Sephiroth replied. "When a heartless,
a creature with no heart, attacks..."

"Master Yen Sid," Flora said as the three Good Fairies flew into the
great wizard's chamber. "Maleficent..."
Yen Sid held up his crystal. In it was a pale woman with bright green
eyes and hair of silver and black that somehow held all the qualities
of a mirror.
"Maleficent's future daughter," he explained. "The half-sister of
Riku's son Yamiki. Conceived to mend the imbalance created by his
birth. Whether good or bad I cannot tell. Her mother's heart has been
changed by regret, so I do not know how she will instruct her child."
The Fairies didn't question this. Although they would have preferred
a world of pure goodness, they saw the wisdom in a world of balanced
good and evil.
"We can only hope for the best," Fauna declared.

The monster did not fall easily to the keyblades and by the time the
battle had ended, all four keybladers were panting heavily.
They had been inside when it had come, protected from it in Merlin's
house. But as keybladers could not stand idly by and watch as it
destroyed the town.
Sora's and Riku's mothers had watched from the windows, each silently
cheering on her son. Both horrified when it leapt onto Riku, and
feeling much relieved when Yamiki drove his keyblade into its heart.
"Where the hell are they coming from?" Sora demanded.
"I'd like to know as well," Riku growled. "I'd swear that last one was
trying to mate with me."
"I can't say I blame it," Sora told him. "Battle always makes you
look so hot. Even in this new body." He rubbed his chin for a moment,
then looked up. "Maybe I should shave?"
Riku shook his head. "That beard suits the new you." he said. "I
think you should keep it. It makes you look noble somehow."
"Perhaps you're right," Sora smiled as they went back inside.
