Chapter 3: Trail of the Keyblade

 

Koji walked up to the sword and heard a voice in his head.

 

Voice: (A sword of incredible power, strength to defeat evil, is this the power you seek?)

 

Koji: (Yeah)

 

Voice: (You've chosen the sword, now you must give something up…)

 

He thought for a while and decided to give up the shield.

 

Voice: (A shield to repel all, the power to protect others, will you give this up?)

 

Koji: (Yeah, magic'll be my defense.)

 

The pedestals disappeared and a large key-like weapon appeared in his hands.

 

Koji: What's this?

 

???: You've just taken the trail of the Keyblade.

 

The same black hooded teen appeared in front of Koji.

 

Koji: What's a Keyblade?

 

???: It's an incredible weapon destined to seal the worlds hearts away from the Heartless.

 

Koji: Ok, So what are…

 

???: [cuts him off] Heartless are creatures born out of the darkness in people's hearts. They feed on hearts to strengthen their numbers. The Keyblade; however; can destroy them.

 

Koji: Ok' I think I get it now.

 

Suddenly, pools of darkness rose from the floor and small black creatures with yellow eyes pulled themselves out of the darkness.

 

???: [smirks] Get ready!

 

Koji:[smirks] Always ready!

 

Then Koji's keyblade began to glow and transformed into a new form that was covered with crystals. He had a shocked look on his face.

???: Sometimes keyblades change based on its wielder.

 

Koji: Hey, what's your name?

 

Leo: Name's Leo.

 

Leo pulled out a white pistol that was longer than an average one. He then fired several shots into the crowd of Heartless. Those who were hit ceased to exist.

 

Koji: Nice gun.

 

Leo: Made it myself.

 

Koji charged forward slashing the Heartless. He had used swords before but prefered hand-to-hand combat…until now. They came from all directions but Koji raised his left arm and crystal formed a shield around it.

 

Koji: What the…

 

Leo: That's your crystal magic, have fun with it.

 

Koji and Leo both blasted the Heartless, with Koji using crystal shards. They both then cut through the last few, Leo's pistol had a small blade attached to it.

 

Leo: Nice work.

 

Koji: No sweat, fought tougher opponents.

 

Leo: Don't get cocky, these are the weakest Heartless.

 

He opened a dark portal with his hand.

 

Leo: I'll keep in touch.

 

Koji then heard a familiar voice…

 

???: Koji, wake up!!!

 

Koji: Huh?!?

 

Oikawa: The finals at the stadium are starting in five minutes!!!

 

Koji and his friends ran over to the stadium. When he stepped in, Koji heard the cheering of his many, many, fans.

 

Koji: [cracks his knuckles] Time for some fun!
