Disclaimer: Okay here it is, first off I'm a big fan of the Kingdom Hearts series and can't wait for the third installment to be released. Anyways, I don't own any of the Kingdom Hearts characters in this story except for Luke. I will accept any constructive criticism as long as it isn't too bad. Please go easy as this is my first fan-fic ever and I'm having a hard time with it. Ummm I hope it's okay so far and if there is anything that needs revising let me know…Except for that, the 2nd chapter should be up soon. Enjoy ;)

Luke jumped the stone wall behind his house and bolted down the alleyway which connected all the houses on his block. The storm had begun several hours ago when he arrived home from school and since then it had been getting severely worse within the hour. Luke arrived home expecting to find his parents and sisters in the house, and when it became clear no one was home, Luke searched the neighborhood coming the conclusion that no one was anywhere near here let alone in his neighborhood. “Everyone must've evacuated because of the storm” Luke said aloud as he bounded back to his house to collect certain things that he might need. The wind was now blowing at a ferocious speed now as he made his way into his house. Luke turned left down the hallway and ran for his room at the end not aware of the shadows sneaking up behind him.
As Luke scrambled around his room collecting his necklace given to him by his mother as a young child, and his wallet and keys along with a small bag of clothes and rations usually set aside for natural disasters, and if this wasn't one then he didn't know what was. Luke jumped back as his bedroom window shattered and dirt and small debris blew in. Luke wasn't surprised when he jumped back and tripped over a small mountain of clothes in the middle of his room, he was a messy kid which wasn't odd for someone of his age. But what caught Luke off guard was what he landed on. A small figure he would guess but very aggressive in its attempts to be released from underneath the teenage boy. Luke's heart stopped for a second and he got the feeling in his stomach as if he had skipped a step going down stairs as the figure beneath him disappeared and a shadow slowly maneuvered in front of him and arose from the ground in front of him. Luke was in shock as the creature, completely black with antennae and yellow eyes lunged at him with its small claws.
Luke dogged to his left and didn't wait to see where the creature was next. He lunged into the hallway and made his way to the living room where to his dismay, were at least half a dozen of the same creatures rising from the shadows of the unlit room. Panic filled his entire being as he jumped over the furniture fumbling as one creature grabbed his leg. Luke kicked the creature holding on to his right foot, “Let go you stupid freak” and the creature bounced back to the ground and sunk into the shadows once more only to arise again. Now Luke was freaking out as he kicked and dodged his way through the crowd of creatures around him and pushed the sliding door open and ran through the yard which was scattered with several more of the creatures, some different and bigger. He didn't wait as he jumped the wall into the well lit alleyway below.
