Disclaimer: Okay I know chapter one wasn't that good or didn't match the story's summary well but it will in time. Again, I don't own any of the Kingdom Hearts characters or its story lines but I DO own Luke and his keyblade which will be given a name in a later chapter. Here is chapter 2, please review.
As Luke sprinted down the alley splashing through puddles in the pouring rain, he noticed that the creatures were growing in number by the minute
“I don't know where everyone went, but I have to get away before these things get me” he said in almost a whisper as he worked his way through the city's alleyway system trying to find his way to the large, open field that he had known well since his early childhood.
Luke collapsed to his feet as the ground beneath him shook violently and the lightening cracked through the sky. It seemed almost as if the entire world was being ripped apart by the storm. As a burst of light lit up the entire area, Luke looked up to see a giant orb in the sky of black and pinkish energy swirling over the planet.
“What the hell” Luke inquired as he stared at the powerful sight before him. The wind had almost stopped completely as Luke arose to his feet and kept running arriving to the old field in less time than he realized. He stopped almost immediately upon seeing what was already on the field. The creatures where now innumerable and in many shapes and sizes, some the size of small houses.
In fear, Luke slowly backed up gripping the necklace around his neck. He had always made sure his necklace was with him when he was faced with a fearful scene such as the one before him. The necklace had brought him courage when he was scared or doubtful of himself. His mother had given it to him as a young child, and it was more of an old charm attached to a chain which his mother had said was passed down on her side of the family for a long time now. The main charm, which was a tribal, smoke black ancient bird of some sort, was attached to a short chain which his mom added to a larger chain that he wore around his neck.
Now though, it seemed as if nothing could remove his fear now.
“My family is gone, the world is being obliterated, and I'm all alone with these creatures…There's no way I'm gonna make it out of this one” and he looked up to see that he had indeed been spotted by the creatures scattering the area. As he turned to run he was tackled by a large creature and soon several more were piling on top of him. Why should I fight back, there's no way I can stop them all. Luke thought to himself as he was being surrounded by darkness.
“NOT YET LUKE…IT IS NOT YOUR TIME”
“What? Who is that?” And suddenly bursts of light made the darkness around him recede and the creatures upon him vanished. As Luke arose to his feet, he noticed that he was absent mindedly holding something and looked towards his right hand to see one of the most amazing weapons he had ever seen.
“What…What is it? Luke pondered to himself as he studied the light weight weapon in his hand which was a magnificent blade made of jet black steel with his charm hanging from a small chain attached to the hilt. Luke turned the sword over and over again amazed at what he held taking in all the detail the inscription in the blade itself in a language he didn't understand.
Now that Luke had gotten over is awe of the blade, he focused now on the scene in front of him. He knew now what he had to do. So he immediately sprinted forward, blade in both hands slashing through the creatures which burst into darkness and faded away. He made his way across the field slash through enemies here and there as he went. He realized that he felt a little weakened from all that had happened but that the blade he wielded was giving him some new found strength and speed as he ran and jumped and sliced his way through the crown not realizing that the wind was picking up again and having a vacuum affect on the entire area. The smallest of the creatures which were the same ones he encountered in his house were being sucked up into the ball of energy which Luke saw before. This time when he looked up at it, he noticed it had grown in size and was swirling madly and as the ground began to split below him, he was sucked into the air heading right for the orb fearing that this was the end for him. As he was being sucked towards the ball of energy, his sword was knocked out of him by a creature also being sucked into the black and pink orb and it sped right into the orb and Luke feared that his only weapon against the enemy was now gone.
As he neared ever closer to the ball of power in the sky, he feared that there was no way of escaping in now and all his attempts at reaching the ground again now were futile. As he looked down on what used to be his city, he noticed that even though it was almost completely destroyed, it was only a small fraction left of the entire planet on which he lived and he realized that even if he did make it back down there safe, there was no where to escape and all hope he had before sank into darkness.
“It's all over” Luke said in an empty voice as he was pulled into the giant black and pink vortex doomed to the same unfortunate fate as his planet. Luke was knocked in the head by some debris and figured it was for the best as he sailed into unconsciousness upon entering the vortex fearing what he might endure once inside….And then total darkness as his world was overpowered and destroyed.
