Kingdom Hearts Fan Fiction ❯ Schizophrenia ❯ One ( Chapter 1 )

[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
His macabre feelings did nothing but get in the way. His depressing mood got to everyone around him, causing him to push people away. Did he have friends? Maybe. Did he have love? Maybe. Did he care? Maybe. Wait... no. He didn't care. His twisted conception of the world around him was everybody else's demise. He thought of no one but everyone, not caring about himself. He never ate. No, he'd be too fat. He never watched TV. No, he'd become a media hound. He never talked much. No, he'd be too annoying. His messed up conceptions that brought forth the questions of his existence. Did he really matter? Maybe.

He used to be happy. He used to be nice. He used to be good. He used to bring light to the world around him. But now he was g o n e.

His existence was futile.

A rock was kicked by his yellow-and-black shoe-clad foot. He picked up another one, tossed it into the air, and sliced it clean in half with Fenrir.

He looked around. He knew every single fucking place on the play island. All he ever did was go there. When he was bored. When he was sad. When he was supposed to be somewhere. He came to the island to think. To sit and think. Yes think. Nobody knew that it was him who destroyed the roof of the Seaside Shack. Nobody knew it was him who moved huge, giant boulders in front of the entrance to the Secret Place. Nobody knew it was him who had punched a hole in the boat that lay moored next to the island, caused it to sink, and then smashed it to smithereens.

Nobody knew it was him who killed his mother.

Had craziness pushed him to it? Maybe. Had insanity pushed him to it? Maybe. Had hatred pushed him to it? Maybe.

He hated all. He hated all. He hated all. He hated all the people that surrounded him with their needs, their wants, their strives for his attention. It seemed that he was always out doing things for the people on the main island.

F u c k existence.

"Sora! Hey, Sora!"

His spiky chocolate hair moved as one as he turned bodily to face the docks. The redhead girl he'd loved for so long was having trouble tying up her boat. Dare he go against his mind, body, and soul to go and help her? Maybe.

Maybe not.

Eventually, she got it on her own. She jumped onto the wooden planks and then ran down to him.

"I had a feeling you'd be here. Riku told me you ripped up Mickey's letter. Wanna tell me what's up?"

He shook his head and faced out to sea again.

"I didn't feel like going," he said, breaking the silence that had somehow started to grow.

"Huh?"

"I'm the one who destroyed the ship. I'm the one who caved in the roof. I'm the one who blocked off the Secret Place," he said.

"Sora!" Kairi cried, her hands flying to the sides of her face. "Why?!"

"Because." The keyblade appeared in his gloved hand and he tossed it to the ground. "I hate this thing," he growled. It appeared back in his hand and he let it disappear. He fell to his knees next to her and his head fell toward his chest. "I hate me, myself, and I, and this life I'm living."

She dropped by him and put a hand on his shoulder. "Don't say that!" Kairi said, her brows showing concern. "Are you sure that you're okay?"

He gave a dry laugh. "I'm not okay, Kairi." He faced her, put his hands on her shoulders, and shook her roughly. "I never have been okay, Kairi. I never will be. And I killed my fucking mother, Kairi. Kairi, Kairi, Kairi!"

Kairi began to tremble. "Stop saying that stuff," she said shakily, pulling out of his grasp.

"I'm crazy crazy crazy beautiful, Kairi. Kairi, I'm crazy beautiful, beautiful crazy." He stood and lifted his cobalt orbs to her cerulean eyes.

"You're scaring me, Sora!" she screamed. She turned and ran for the treehouse.

Sora felt exhilirated and he followed her at an aimless stroll.

When he made it to the treehouse, she was already in there. He could hear her quiet sobs.

"Are you scared scared scared, Kairi? Scared I'm gonna kill you, too?" He started to climb up slowly. Silence came back to him. He jumped up into the treehouse and spotted her huddled in the corner. "There you are, my love," he whispered.

Her eyes widened as he grabbed her shoulders and forced her to lie down.

"Sora, what's wrong with you? No, stop!" she cried with fright as he straddled her hips.

"What's wrong with me? Everything's wrong with me." He leaned down so that he was close to her ear. "Everything." He sat back up and then his lips crashed upon hers. Strangely, she didn't try to push him away. But when she tried to wrap her arms around him, however, he grabbed her wrists and slammed them on the wood. Her mouth opened and she cried out in pain. Sora captured her mouth with his and his tongue delved deep. He bit down on her tongue and she let out a bloodcurdling scream of pain, fear, and sadness altogether.

He stood up, pulled her with him, and pushed her roughly into the wall. She gasped and tears coursed down her face.

"Sora, why are you doing this to me? I thought we were friends!"

Sora slammed her again and his hands fell to her waist. He undid the belt and her pouches fell to the ground. His nails dug in and she squirmed in agony.

"No, it hurts, Sora, it hurts!" she screeched. Sora grinned maniacally and squeezed harder. She went limp, gasping, and she pounded his chest with her fists. "Please, Sora..." She lifted her long lashes and looked up at him. Their eyes met.

His heart burst with emotion and he let her go sharply. He stepped back until he hit the far wall.

"I'm sorry sorry sorry," he whispered shaking his head.

S c h i z o p h r e n i a.

Kairi looked down and watched with horror as spots of blood staind her dress.

"Sora..." she gasped, looking at him with water-filled eyes.

"Come to me, Kairi," he said, holding his arms out to her. Something in his superior eyes told her to obey and soon his arms folded about her thin torso. He pulled her tightly against him. "Oh, I love you," he whispered.

Kairi's eyes widened and she suddenly hugged him back.

"I love you, too!" she whispered back. "I've been waiting forever for you to say that."

"Enjoy it while you can," he growled. His mind seemed to twist and he was no longer Sora.

Kairi found herself on the floor again. Sora's fingers unzipped the zippers on her dress and pulled it down. The pads of his fingers grazed the cuts they had made, causing her to cry out.

"Sora, what is wrong with you?!" she screamed and he pulled the white tank top up. She was left in her bra and underwear. "I don't want to do this!" she shrieked, struggling wildly.

Suddenly she froze.

His hands were like ice.

When she'd hugged him in Hollow Bastion, his hands were warm. When she'd hugged him in the Hall of Empty Melodies, his hands had been warm. But now... they were giant blocks of ice. The tears came faster as she realized that this wasn't the real Sora.

He didn't seem to know or care if this was really himself. All he could see was hatred. Hatred for himself. Hatred for others. Hatred for the world. All he wanted to do at that moment was cause Kairi the most unbearable pain she'd ever experience in her life. What was wrong with him, she asked. Everything was wrong with him,

She moaned, not in pleasure but in pain, when his hands tangled in her cherry locks and snapped her head back.

V a m p i r i c B l o o d l u s t.

She screamed aloud as his mouth covered her throat. Two small, sharp little daggers poked into her flesh, ripping the skin like meat. She went limp on the ground as he drank of her life's fluid.

"Please, I don't want to die..." she whispered thickly.

He yanked his mouth away from her neck and he grinned. His two canines were longer and sharper than normal and stained red.

"Oh no, I don't want you dead. I want you alive."

His hands shot out and wrapped around her throat. She stopped breathing for a moment on instinct and her own hands wrapped around his wrists, trying to pull him off.

"No, no, no! I c-can't brea-breathe!" she gasped. She struggled, but felt as if there were no escape.

One hand stayed on her neck while the other snaked down under her panties.

"Just kill me now!" she screeched as he jammed two fingers into her.

"No. I want to hear your screams," he whispered. Soon they were both naked. He let go of her throat. Her breathing was raspy because of her swollen neck. His breathing was raspy because he was aroused beyond returning.

"Please," she said softly and he spread her legs for him. He paid no heed to her pleas as he entered her. She arched her back in agony as he tore through her barrier without a care in the world.

"This isn't fair," she hissed through clenched teeth.

"Just relax, Kai..." Sora whispered, kissing her neck.

Stars were her vision as he moved within her. She felt blood trickle onto the wooden floor until she really started to feel it. In the midst of pain, pleasure was abound. Long red furrows appeared on his toned back soon, blood of black rolling down his back. They rolled back and forth, feeling feeling feeling the wonderful feelings.

His name was whispered, called, screamed, and cried many times. Sweat beaded his brow like droplets of diamond. The two felt as if they couldn't get close enough to each other. Close enough... was just too far.

And Kairi's innocence was whisked away.

Sora rolled off of her and immediately started to get dressed. He left Kairi in the middle of the floor, exhausted and dripping blood from two of her body cavities.

"Sora, you... you bastard!" Kairi screamed. A slap rang out in the middle of the high school cafeteria. Riku, jumped up from the lunch table and dashed up.

"Kairi, whoa! Hold it there. What's wrong?!" Riku asked, practically yelling it.

"That stupid... Keyblade Master is a bastard!" Kairi spat bitterly. She turned and stormed out into the hall. Riku glared at Sora.

"What'd you do, man?" he yelled, shaking Sora.

Sora said nothing. "Nothing."

"Don't play dumb with me, Sora. I'm your best friend," Riku said softly, sincerely.

Sora daintily lifted Riku's hands off of his shoulders and smirked. "Correction: Were. You were my best friend." He turned and started after Kairi.

"Sora!" Riku called, utterly hurt. selphie came up and touched his arm.

"I have no friends, Riku!" Sora laughed, skipping out of the lunchroom.

Kairi didn't make it two more steps before she found herself pinned to a locker by the shoulders.

"What do you want with me?" she asked with her chin trembling.

He kissed her forcefully, pushing her head back into the metal.

"I want you to love me back," he whispered.

"I do, Sora!" she cried, shoving him off of her. "I really, truly do, but I can't be with you if you're going to hurt me!"

"But I won't hurt you!" he whined. He surprised himself sometimes.

"You already have!" she roared, her face going red.

He fiddled with the hem of his black vest.

She lifted up her whole shirt a couple inches. Angry red scars were there from his nails.

"They're infected, Sora," she said, softer than before. "I haven't told my mom. I'm just getting sicker everyday."

"I'm sorry. I've changed, Kai. Just please... let me love you the right way."

Kairi stepped back. "I'm scared of you now."

"Please don't be, Kairi."

She wheeled about on one foot and marched down the hall. It wasn't three seconds later before she was slammed violently against more lockers. She screamed as she was shoved forcefull across the hall to where she hit into the other lockers. This horrid treatment continued before she finally collapsed at his knees, sobbing uncontrollably.

Sorak nelt by her and grabbed her chin, forcing her to look at him, into his azure eyes.

"Damn right, I've changed, Kai. I accepted the darkness. You need to accept it, too."

He conjured up his keyblade. It was Ultima Weapon, only... not Ultima Weapon. It was all black and had an evil gleam about it.

"Obey me, or perish in the darkness," he ordered.

She took one look at the blade before her arm whipped around his neck and pulled him into a bruising kiss. He dropped the keyblade with a clatter and wrapped his arms about her waist. They kissed, then, and it was magical.

Pulling back, Sora kissed her once more. "Kairi..."

"I hope this turns you back," Kairi said through gritted teeth. Her keyblade, Floral Memories, was jammed up to the hilt in his chest. His eyes widened in a silent gasp of shock. A single stream of blood trickled down, starting as black and ending as red. His eyes rolled up into his head and he slumped forward, only pulling himself deeper onto the keyblade.

"Kairi!" It was Riku. He fell to his knees beside Sora's lifeless form. Selphie screamed.

"Kairi, what did you do?"

Kairi let her keyblade disappear and she looked down her nose at Sora.

"He'll wake in a few days. Hopefully then... he'll be of the light again."

Riku sat in stony silence. He couldn't believe what Kairi had just told him. He shook his head.

"I can't believe we didn't see it. How did this happen?"

"I don't know, but I realized it before he..." She cleared her throat. "Anyways, when he awakens, we'll force him to tell us."

Riku sighed.

A loud cry of pain came from the room next door, Riku's room.

"Sora's awake," Kairi said. "He'll feel all the pain of me stabbing him."

"How do you know all this?" Riku asked before he left to tend to Sora.

"Before Axel came to get me off of the island, I did some research."

"You seem different..." Riku said before leaving. A few seconds later, he poked his head back in. "Sora wants to see you."

Kairi looked up from staring at her freshly painted pink nails to match her pink dress and she ran into Sora's room. Even though she was trying to act tough for Riku, inside she was bursting with joy at the fact that she hadn't killed Sora. She was waiting, hoping, anticipating that he'd be okay.

"Sora?"

He looked at her with tear-filled eyes. She looked back at him and knew... she knew that he was okay.

"Sora!" she squealed, throwing herself upon him in a hug.

He groaned in pain but hugged her fiercely. She could feel his tears leaking onto the top of her head.

"I'm so sorry."

She just giggled. "I'm the one who should be sorry. I killed you!"

He couldn't help but laugh. "But it's a good thing you did. You pulled me out of the darkness. If it weren't for you... I might've done something more horrible than what I did to you yesterday."

Kairi put her hand on his cheek and made him look into her cerulean eyes. "It. Wasn't. Your. Fault."

His face crumpled and he sobbed in her arms. She held him and stroked his back.

"It's okay, shh..."

Finally, he'd finished. He extracted himself from her arms and kissed her gently. It soon turned into a fiery kiss that burned with passion and love. Kairi pulled back and smiled down at him.

Around the corner... somebody's heart was torn.
