The Link Between You and I
Chapter 1: The little blue marble
Disclaimer: I don’t own KH or KH2, SquareEnix does xP
Author’s Note: I really haven’t written anything in a long long time, and I’m not sure how it’ll go but xP Might as well try again. This takes place a bit after KH2, and Donald and Goofy have gone back to Disney Castle to make up for the absence of the king (who now lives with Sora.)

“Sora!” a voice called his name.
“Who-?” another answered.
“There’s no time left…but you must keep this safe.”
A smooth round object was gently pushed into one of the brunette’s hands. Feeling it and rolling the small thing between hid thumb and index finger, Sora furrowed an eyebrow.
“What is this?” he asked, lightly running a nail gently in between a few slight cracks in it. The cracks were mostly light, but there was one that went down a good fourth of an inch into the object. Perhaps it was dropped a lot, or abused otherwise. There was a rustle, and then voices that sounded far away.
“I must go,” the voice suddenly said, thick with urgency.
“But…what,” Sora attempted to ask, many questions filling his head.
“It’s the link,” the voice had already started to fade away rapidly.
“Between what?”
Blue eyes were revealed to Sora, much like his own. “Between you…and me.”

Slowly coming to consciousness, Sora woke up staring at his decorated ceiling. What had that dream been about? He wondered many things, but could find no answers. Frustrated, he sat up and turned so that his legs hung off of his rather short bed. Finally his senses came back, and Sora’s mouth parted slightly in shock. He brought his right hand in front of him and opened it. Sure enough, there was a small glimmering blue marble, scratched up and worn. The words echoed back to him, but he had no more time to think as the other occupant of his house called for him.
“I’m coming,” Sora called back, quickly putting the marble away in one of his pockets before he went out of his room.
“Ah, there you are. Riku and Kairi were looking for you, but left after I told them you were still sleeping,” Mickey told his friend.
“Oh, where are they?” Sora asked, picking up a piece of toast that Mickey had made earlier for him. He already began to head out the door.
“They should be at the beach,” the mouse -like king answered.
“Okay. Thanks Mickey,” he called back before running out the door towards the beach.
Once the cheerful bouncy brunette was out of sight, Mickey turned around to face the table with the toaster on it. He called on his golden key blade and pointed it towards a seat in front of him.
“What are you here for,” Mickey demanded.
A laugh echoed through the room as a dark smoke appeared on the seat and then gave way to a black clad figure sitting on the chair. The man pulled back the hood covering his features, showing crimson hair and dark green eyes. He shook his head slightly, shrugging.
“Looks like I’ve been caught,” a teasing reply came,” you don’t have to worry about me. I’m merely spectating … for now.”
When Mickey failed to reply nor try to attack him, his eyes showed boredom. “When the time is right-” Axel began to say, smirking. He did not finish his answer however, for the toast that Mickey had put in after Sora’s had popped up with a loud ‘bing!’. Scowling at said toaster, Axel was silently cursing it to the realm of darkness. 'It just has to pop up and make me lose my seriousness,' he thought before clearing his throat. “When the time is right, I will take back what was rightfully mine.” With that, he disappeared once more in the same shroud that he appeared in, leaving Mickey to sigh. Same ole Axel. His little ‘visits’ were becoming more and more frequent, worrying them all although he had yet to do anything physical. Making his key blade disappear, Mickey busied himself once more, unaware that the figure had moved outside, making his way down to the beach slowly. Axel had turned his head to look at Mickey’s back, whispering to himself-
“And mine he shall soon be.”

“How long do you think we can stay at peace like this?”
Surprised at the question, Riku opened his icy blue eyes and looked down at Sora. He hadn’t really thought about it. Rather, he didn’t really want to.
“I…I’m not sure,” he replied honestly, “I hadn’t given it much thought.”
At the depressed look that Sora wore, the taller boy ruffled his hair lightly.
“Cheer up. No matter what happens, I won’t lose you again. Ever,” Riku promised as he looked deeply into Sora’s eyes, letting the key blade’s chosen one know that he really meant it. This made Sora a bit happier, and as a reply he nuzzled his face into Riku’s neck.
End Comments: Fweee I’m done! >> Well as always, C&C is very welcome, and hopefully I’ll get around to redoing the FMA one again…Though things would change so much since everyone knows the ending of it now D: Oh well, we’ll see how that goes. Hope you all enjoyed the first chapter, and I’ll have a second up asap! Arigatou gozaimasu~
