Chapter Three: See Sora Crawl.

 

If Riku had looked behind him, he would have seen a face smashed up against the upper window. Sora pressed his face closer to the window, his blue eyes trying to see where Riku had gone. He hadn't planned on stopping, more content to continue staring at the moon, but his enhanced hearing kept picking up Riku turning pages. So, determined to find out the source of the noise and stop it so he could watch the moon, that was how he ended up at the library.

 

Sora was curious as to who Riku was but was unsure if he should go in. He might think I'm some deranged serial killer or something. Eventually his curiosity got the best of him and he began thinking of a way inside. Sure, he could just break the glass, but then Riku would surely hear him. It was then that he noticed an air duct above him.

 

Sora made his way toward it and removed the cover; thankfully it wasn't too small for him. He pulled himself inside and began crawling through the duct. He coughed as yet another cobweb got stuck in his hair. “Eww…” Sora coughed again. Where is he? He stopped for a moment and listened.

 

Although it was faint, he could hear Riku's heartbeat directly below him. A little farther ahead was another grate. “Finally…” he muttered under his breath. Sora crawled forward and removed the grate, sticking his head out to see where he was. Riku had his back turned away from Sora and he tried to lower himself a bit more. Unfortunately for him, Sora forgot about gravity and he fell to the floor.

 

He groaned and rubbed his head. “That hurt.” He mumbled, trying to shake the spots from his vision. He looked up to see Riku staring at him, book in hand. “What were you doing in that air duct?”
