Chapter One:

Sora stepped out of the shower soaking wet. He grabbed a towel and began to dry himself, as he opened the door.

What a touching moment that had just occurred in the living room of his home.

As soon as he walked through the door, he was immediately caught in one of his mothers bone crushing hugs, as tears began to erupt from her eyes. Watching the sweet son-mother reunion made Kairi, shed some tears as well, and humorously Donald and Goofy had too. Sora just simply rolled his eyes over to his best friend Riku, who grinned at him.

Riku had said that he wanted to head over to his place and King Mickey hadn't lost the habit of walking with Riku, so he went with him and after giving Sora a quick hug, Kairi went off to accompany the two.

Sora entered his room and flicked on the lights and almost jumped immediately as he saw Donald and Goofy searching through his drawers.

“HEY what are you guys still doing here?” He asked.

He thought that they were just going to follow the others but obviously they had other ideas…

“Wow Sora, your room sure is neat! “Said Goofy as he tossed clothes and some childhood toys around.

“Hey leave everything alone guys!” Responded Sora as he began to clean up the mess they had started,

A small globe fell off the top of his drawer and it caught Donald by surprise as he cast a firaga spell on it. The globe fell on top off the pile of clothes that Sora was trying to clean up.

“DONALD!” Yelled Sora, as he looked for his keyblade so he could cast blizzaga.

Goofy however already had his shield and simply dived on top of the flame it and put it out. As he stood up, all that remained of his clothes was just a simple pile of ash.

“Look what you did!” said Sora as he began to throw the ashes into a little bag.

“Aah, they didn't fit you anymore anyway!” Said Donald as he jumped on Sora's bed.

“Ok look, Im going to get dressed and then were all going to head over to Riku's ok?”

“Sure sure whatever.” Donald said as he waved Sora off, apparently he was watching television, and seemed very interested on what was going on.

Sora smiled as he stepped into hallway, and then realized that there were no clothes in the house that would fit him now. But as quickly as the thought entered his mind. His mother quickly shoved his clothes that he had been wearing, clean, dry, and fresh smelling.

“I thought you might need these. You know, you should go buy some clothes your size sometime soon.”

“I guess I should.” Said Sora with a grin, as he placed his hand on the back of his head.

“Well you should hurry and get over there.” Replied his mother as Sora re-entered his room.

“Okay, so are you guys ready…to…go…” There on his bed, watching T.V. was Donald, chomping on his Paopu fruit!

“Donald!” Shouted Sora as he began to strangle the duck.

“Hey you guys stop fightin!” said Goofy as he separated the two.

Oh well, I figure I can just get another one from Riku.

“Never mind…, let's just go ok?” Said Sora as he marched out of his room and outside of the house.

Kairi kept her hands in back of her as the trio walked up a hill towards Riku's home. She was enjoying herself joking with Riku and catching up with him and the King. She decided to go with Riku because she really felt like talking to him. And when she did get to talk to Sora, she wanted to him in private. Riku swung open the door to his home to find it empty.

KAIRI'S POV

I guess his mothers not home right now…

I feel sorry for him; I can tell that he really wanted to see her.

"Don't worry Riku, Im sure that your mother will be here soon." I say to him with a smile.

"Yeah, Im sure she will too." He says returning my smile.

"Excuse me guys, but I need to get check on the gummi ship." Says the King.

"What, you're tired of us already so you want to leave?" Joked Riku.

"No, but If Im going to leave anytime soon, I need to make sure that everything is working right." Replied the King with a laugh.

"Okay, see you soon!” I say as me and Riku wave bye to him.

For a while, we just sit on the sofa, as it begins to rain.

I break the silence and ask him what he and Sora had been doing in the other worlds.

"You didn't get Sora into any trouble did you?" I ask him jokingly.

"You're asking me if we met any girls aren't you?" He says slyly.

"Oh come on!" I say rolling my eyes over and playfully shoving him.

"Well to be honest, I wasn't really with Sora the whole time, though I was watching him, and NO he didn't "MEET" any girls."

"Shut up Riku!" I said hitting him in his arm. "You're exaggerating this."

He grabbed his arm and rubbed it a little. "You sure know how to take charge now huh?" He says smiling.

"Oh yeah." I say with a laugh. It felt like it had been a long time since we last laughed together like this. And I was enjoying every second of this.

I turn my head to see Sora entering the house, and his hair and clothes were dripping wet. I giggled a little bit. He looked so cute like this.

"Hey man, beautiful weather out there isn't it?" Riku says smirking.

"Yeah, I already had a shower today, but I guess I needed another one!" He says as he laughs out loud. Me and Riku find his laughter contagious and join in, as I think to myself.

"The three of us laughing together... It's definitely something I want to get used to again."

SORA'S POV

After a quick firaga spell, Im dry and grab a pear from a bowl on the coffee table as I sit down between Riku and Kairi.

"So, what's going on? I ask after I take a quick bite out of the pear.

"Well the king left a little while ago." Says Riku.

"Oh yeah, I saw him on the way here, Donald and Goofy decided to go with him."

"Oh, I was kind of looking forward to getting to know them." Says Kairi.

"Well, Donald doesn't know when to shut his mou...uh...beak, and Goofy is well...just plain goofy."

"Sounds like you found yourself a couple of winners.” Says Riku."

I take another bite of the pear.

"Yeah, well when I was in trouble, they were there for me, and it was kinda fun hanging around with them. But I definitely take you guys over them any day."

"Aww, Sora missed us.” Says Riku grabbing my cheek. While Kairi laughs.

"Yeah, well we missed you too." Says Kairi grabbing hold of my other cheek."

"Owwww!." I shout dropping my pear. "OK OK, now let go!" They both let go laughing at me, and I begin to rub both sides of my sore face.

"Hey you guys wanna watch a movie?" Asks Riku as he stands up.

"Sure.” I said shrugging my shoulder. As he walks over to his television and pops in a DVD in his player. I could see the box that he took it out of entitled, The Ring." Seeing as it was a horror movie, I made sure to secure a tight spot next to Kairi and focus my attention on the T.V. screen.

I wake up about halfway into the movie, as I feel Kairi bumping into me as one of the movies most horrifying scenes took place. I had long fallen asleep, since I wasn't really into the movie. I could tell Riku wasn't scared either. I mean he had BEEN darkness, and I had just spent over a year fighting it, so a little movie couldn't really captivate either of us. Still, he was paying attention to it and I had fallen asleep, I guess I was a little tired.

All of a sudden, I feel Kairi grab my hand, as this little girl pops out of the T.V. screen in the movie, good thing she was really getting into it, or otherwise she would have seen me blushing. She squeezed my hand as she bit her lip, right about when some idiot is about to get killed. I can't help but think she looks really cute. In about half-an hour, the movie finishes and I turn my head to look at the clock and I see that it's already 11 PM.

"It's getting late; I think I'll be heading home now." I say as I stand up and stretch.

"Yeah, I think Il walk with you.” Says Kairi as she stands up as well.

"Alright I guess I'll see you guys tomorrow. Make sure you get home safe, Kairi just make sure you go to YOUR house, says Riku as he opens the door for us.

I just laugh as Kairi gives him a cold glare, as we step out.

Sora and Kairi walked next to the beach, Kairi deciding to take the long way home, because she wanted to catch up with him.

"So, now that you guys are back, what are you planning on doing?” Asked Kairi.

"Well...to continue from where I left off." Responded Sora.

"Which is?"

"Sleeping like a lazy bum." He said with a grin.

"Oh, im sure you'll start tonight as soon as you get home.” said Kairi with a giggle.

Sora laughed at that and continued to walk as they listened to the waves slapping against the sand.

"...Sora..."

"Hmmm?"

"What do you think of me?"Kairi asked in a low voice?

"What?"

"Could you just...answer me?"

He could tell she was being serious.

"Well, I think you're very nice, and one of my best friends. You and Riku have always stood behind me, and I really appreciate that."

"Hmm...well Sora I…"

She was cut off as he grabbed hold of her shoulders.

"And when we separated, I felt heartache like I never thought was even possible. Sure I would think of Riku, the king, and Donald and Goofy, but when I thought about you...All I could think about was getting back to you. I think you're beautiful and I KNOW that you're very important to me."

They both stood there, as her mind digested all of that.

Her mouth felt suddenly dry and the only reply she could give was a tight hug as she wrapped her arms around the boy's neck and set her head over his shoulders.

It was all she could do from letting him see the newly formed tears in her eyes.

Sora could tell she couldn't speak at the moment, and after about 15 seconds, he finally broke the hug as they walked the last way towards her house.

Suddenly he slipped his hand around hers and smiled at her.

She lifted her head, here eyes a little red from crying as she returned the smile as they made their way to her home.

It's hot.

That's the first thought that entered my head as I looked around my surroundings. In front of me, I can hear voices.

The voices talk fast, and then they talk slow.

I can make out a few lines.

Let's go, we have a job to do.

What?

They'll be separated soon.

Who? What? When?

Before HE gets there.

Are they talking about me?

It'll be easy..

What's going on?

Im almost fin...

And then I see red eyes glaring at me.

And then everything turns black.

WHY?
