[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]

Joshua Veuskens. Male, 14, Single (yet, kinda longing…), and right now, sitting on the park bench, playing on his DS. Well, until…WHACK! “AIII! Who the hell threw that?!”
Joshua screamed as he held the soccer ball, which was accidentally kicked at him, with a very annoyed look on his face. “Ehehehe, sorry, mister, my bad!” a boy said after taking back his soccerball and running off to play with his friends in the park's field. Joshua simply grumbled and turned back to playing on his DS...

Now it was sunset, as our tired young man, Joshua, heads home. Joshua opens the door to his house and says; “Mom? Sis? I'm hoooome!” He then gets alittle spooked as he saw his grandfather sitting at the kitchen table, smoking the night away. “Damn, gramps, you're gonna get hurt with those cancer sticks!” Joshua said while walking over to his grandfather. Grandfather Peter then puffed out some smoke from his nostrils and looked at Joshua, then said in his gruff German accent; “Grandson! I'm glad I found ya, kidd-o! I need to tell you something!” then he puts out his cigarette and turns towards him on his seat. “Your mother didn't want me to tell you this, but…” he stopped and heard smacking and chomping noises, then saw Joshua munching on a tomato. “Sheesh! Can you stop it with the chomping and what-not and let me tell ya something????” Gramps shouted at Joshua. “YAAAIIIII! Ok, ok!” Joshua yelped, then puts down the tomato. “Can ya hold that thought? I gotta go see what everyone else is doin'!” Joshua then said, then dashed out of the kitchen, as he heard his grandfather grumble and drinks down his malt.

A few hours passed…and Joshua spent his time watching a show about an animated fat guy winding up in many fits of trouble with his family…and his talking/martini drinking dog? Gramps came into the room and sat down on the couch. “Aww man, again?” Joshua Thought. “Boy! I really got to tell you somethin'!” Gramps said to Joshua. “Aww gramps, I am not in the mood for one of your crazy stories from the bar…” Joshua said with a sarcastic look on his face. “THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT!!!!!” Gramps then bellowed out. “GEEZ! I'm goin' to bed…G'night mom.” Joshua then said, then stood up and waved to his mother, and went upstairs.

That night…Joshua had a dream that he was underwater, and a voice was calling out to him. “Joshua…save me…please…!” the voice called. Joshua then felt his right hand tingle…then glow brightly! Joshua finally discovered what his birthmark ment! Joshua then woke up and looked at his hand, then said; “Damn…is that it? I gotta ask Gramps…!” then got out of bed, and ran to his grandfather's house, knocking on the door repeatedly. His grandfather opened the door as Joshua accidentally knocked on his forehead. “HEY! Joshua, what is it?” Joshua then took his hand away and said; “Sorry gramps. Say, what did you want to tell me?” “Well, we can't explain out here…come inside.” Grandpa Peter whispered and opened the door, so Joshua could step inside. Joshua sat down at the large table with his grandfather and asked, “What do you want to tell me?” Grandpa looked up and sighed, then looked back and said; “You see that birthmark on your hand that looks a lot like three triangles put together?...It's a mark…meaning that you are born a warrior…!” Joshua looked at his grandfather with very wide eyes and said; “M-me…? A warrior? How??” “You are born of a sacred duty…you are the new Hero of time! The reason we moved to Gananoque is that many believe that this was once a magnificent kingdom centuries ago…” Gramps said. Joshua shook his head and said; “Wayda sec, I thought that was all in a video game!” “My dear grandson…if was based off of a REAL legend!” Gramps then said. “My mother didn't want me to let you know because she doesn't want you to get hurt…but you're old enough to now know.” “Does this mean…I am truly…what you say I am??” Joshua then exclaimed as his grandfather nodded. “But NEVER let your mother or sister know I told you that!” gramps said. “Gotcha, gramps. Now I'd better go to bed, so see ya!” Joshua then said and walked out of the door and back to his house. “Good luck, Joshua…” Gramps said, then went back inside to sleep.

Meanwhile…deep under Dead man's chair…a large cave appears! Then, a large shadowy figure looms out of the cave and says; “So…he's finally awakened…Now is my time to strike…isn't that right, my army?” He then turns around to thousands of red eyes that glow from within the cave. He then gave a long and loud laugh of true…true…evil!

Ganondorf…is back!
