Mileena laid a blanket down on the ground. She didn’t want either herself or Tanya to get grass stains on their clothes while they ate their food. Mileena had already placed the picnic basket on top of the blanket. She was worried about bugs getting into their food, but she was glad there were very few actual bugs where they picked out for their picnic lunch.

She and Tanya sat on the blanket and they crossed their legs, their knees nearly touching as they sorted out the food. There were so many things that she wanted to discuss with Tanya now that they were finally alone with each other. Mileena knew exactly what to say to her next.

“Tanya, there’s something that I’ve wanted to tell you for the longest time.. It’s been on my mind for so long now it’s hard for me to think about anything else. But I haven’t come up with the best way to say it just yet. So let’s eat first because I’m starving.” Mileena. She heard Tanya laugh and it was like music to her ears. Mileena took a bite of the food, nearly moaning out loud due to how good it was.

“That’s fair enough. I need to tell you something as well. We need to eat though since I forgot to eat earlier.” Tanya replied. She was close to scarfing her food down because she was so hungry. Tanya didn’t do that, she wanted to spend as much private time with her beloved Mileena as she possibly could. So she took her time eating her food.

The two women had finished eating and were sitting in companionable silence. Mileena kept stealing side glances at Tanya. She decided that it was finally time to tell her the truth.

“Dearest Tanya, we have been friends since we met. My feelings for you have changed. I love you and I would be honored if you were to become my girlfriend.” Mileena said. She saw several different emotions flash through Tanya’s eyes. Mileena wished she knew what the other woman was thinking. She gasped when Tanya grasped her hands.

“I love you too, Mileena. Nothing would make me happier than to court you. Yes, I’ll be your girlfriend.” Tanya replied. She slowly leaned forward until their foreheads were touching and their breaths were mingling together. Tanya closed her eyes as she felt Mileena’s soft lips press against her own.

Mileena was the first to pull back from the kiss before she reconnected their lips once more. They lost track of how long they kissed for. The kiss was exactly how Mileena had pictured it being. She pulled out of the kiss to rest her forehead against Tanya’s.

“Wow. You’re a great kisser. I can’t wait to find out what else you’re great at.” Mileena said. She suggestively wiggled her eyebrows and she watched as Tanya blushed. Mileena laughed, then she hugged Tanya. She knew that their new relationship was going to last forever.

“Thanks. You’re a pretty great kisser too. I guess you just have to wait to find out. I think it’s time to go back to the Palace.” Tanya replied. She helped Mileena gather everything up, placing it back in the picnic basket. Tanya kissed Mileena on her cheek before the two of them began to walk back to the Palace.

Once they were back, Tanya handed the basket to the kitchen staff and she went off to join her Umgadi sisters for prayer while Mileena proceeded to look for Kitana. She couldn’t wait to tell her how amazing her first date with Tanya was.

Mileena finally found Kitana in her own room, where she was sitting on her bed. She rushed over to hug her sister, who hugged her back. Mileena loved Kitana’s hugs. They felt like home and love to her.

“I take it that the date went well. I mean, you’re blushing redder than I’ve ever seen you do so before.” Kitana said, She loved to tease her sister. It was something that sisters did after all. Kitana wasn’t one to listen to gossip, but she did love to know what other people were up to and that included their love lives. Mileena was no exception.

“It really did. After I told her how I feel, she said she feels the same. Then we kissed. All I can say is, Tanya is a great kisser.” Mileena replied. She noticed Kitana roll her eyes and she laughed in response. Mileena had a feeling Kitana knew she would say something like that.

“I’m glad, Mileena. If you two end up doing more than just kissing, please keep it to yourself. I really don’t need to know the intimate details of my twin sister’s love life.” Kitana said. She really did love Mileena, but there were some things she could live without knowing. Kitana knew that Mileena felt that way as well.

“Don’t worry, Kitana. Like you just said, I promise to keep it to myself." Mileena replied. She was about to say something else when she heard a knock, then she watched as Tanya walked in. Mileena greeted her with a kiss. Mileena noticed that Tanya was blushing.

“It’s okay, Tanya. I already know about you two. I’m not going to tell anyone.” Kitana said. She didn’t want her sister and Tanya to get in any trouble. Kitana knew that someday Mileena and Tanya wouldn’t have to hide the fact that they were a couple.

“I appreciate that, Princess. I came to tell you two something; a man named Erron Black was killed by someone. He was a guest of Queen Sindel’s and she needs us to find out who did it.” Tanya said. She wanted to keep Mileena and Kitana away from things like that, but they were amazing fighters. Tanya also trusted them both implicitly and she would also protect them with her life.

The two sisters shared a look before giving Tanya a nod and they followed her out of Kitana’s bedroom towards where Sindel would be waiting for them. The three of them hoped that this situation wasn’t going to end badly for anyone who just happened to be involved.
