Pairing: Sora/Kairi Riku/Kagome/Kuronue (I'm either going to make this a Riku/Kagome pairing with a one sided Kagome/Kuronue or vice versa or possibly a three some)

Summary: After getting the letter form King Mickey at the end of Kingdom Hearts 2, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Donald, and Goofy once again set off on another journey to vanquish the heartless and nobodies, who now have a new leader. They also soon discover that a whole new set of worlds have appeared.

Chapter 1: A New Journey

“So, are you all set Sora.” a platinum haired boy asked, leaning against the door in the boy known as Sora's room.

“I guess.” the brown haired boy, Sora, replied, thinking about the letter he had received from King Mickey a week ago. He, Riku, and Kairi were planning on visiting his castle.

“Good. Then go get Kairi and meet me out by the ship.” Riku said grabbing a black backpack. Nodding his head, Sora grabbed his own brown backpack and headed off in search of Kairi.

Sighing, Riku decided to take a walk by the shore, somehow knowing that it would be a long time since he would return to Destiny Island. Gazing at the ocean Riku sat down on the pier, his feet barely touching the water, watching the sunrise.

Finally getting up, Riku walked over to the tree he and Sora would always practice at with their wooden swords. When he got there, what he saw made his heart clench.

Sitting atop of the tree sat Sora and Kairi, starring into each other's eyes, hands entwined, their faces slowly inching closer and closer. Not wanting to see them kiss, Riku turned around, and started his walk towards the ship.

Reaching the ship, he threw his bag in and sat in the captain's seat. Banging his head against the door he thought about Sora, Kairi, and his feelings. He knew that he still had feelings for Kairi, but seeing as how she only looked at him as an older brother, he would move on. It was painfully obvious that Sora and Kairi liked each other.

“Come on Kairi, let's go to the ship, Riku's probably already waiting for us.” Sora said breaking their kiss. Nodding her head in agreement Kairi picked up her pink bag and walked hand in hand with Sora to the ship.

Helping Kairi inside, Sora sat down in the chair next to Riku. “Ready to go?” he asked.

Not bothering to answer, Riku started up the ship and took off. When they were in space, he drove through a warp hole, taking them straight to Mickey's castle.

Landing in the gummi ship garage, Riku, Sora, and Kairi stepped out of the ship to be greeted by Chip and Dale. Saying a quick hello, the trio quickly made their way to King Mickey's throne room. Right outside the doors, stood Goofy on guard duty.

“Hiya guys.” Goofy said, opening the door to King Mickey's throne room and leading them inside without another word.

Standing in front of the king, all four of them bowed and Sora asked “So, what is so urgent that you had to see us immediately, your majesty.” looking Mickey in the eye.

“Sora, I'm not going to lie or sugarcoat anything for you. The heartless and the nobodies have been stirring up a lot o trouble again, but this time it seems that they are getting stronger and working together.” Mickey said, looking at all of their surprised faces, well mainly Sora, Kairi, and Goofy's faces, it was hard to tell what Riku was thinking.

“I believe that they are now under the control of some unknown force, and not only that but they seem to have targeted a whole new set of worlds.” Mickey finished once again looking at everybody's shocked face, even Riku's eyes seemed to have widened some.

“When do we leave?” Sora asked coming out of shock.

“Immediately.” Mickey answered. “Donald has already prepared for you mission, and will give you the coordinates to the new worlds.” Mickey said handing them some munny for the journey. “Oh and Sora, good luck” Thinking that Sora was going to need it.

Nodding his head in acceptance, Sora lead his little group out of Mickey's throne room and headed to the garage, wasting no time.

Standing outside of their ship stood Donald, looking at a map. Finally noticing them he said “Hey guys. It's about time you guys got here.”

“Nice to see you too Donald” Sora greeted snatching the map out of Donald's hands/wings (?).

“Shouldn't we get going” Riku stated already boarding the gummi ship. Following his lead they all went in after him.

“So, what new world are we going to go first?” Kairi asked, taking the map away from Sora.

“I know how to choose.” Sora said jumping up excitedly. Grabbing the map away from Kairi, Sora quickly hung up the map on the wall and pulled out a few darts that he had been carrying.

Knowing where this was going, Riku groaned at his friend's stupidity, also wondering why he was carrying darts in the first place. So Riku decide to take the darts out of his hands, and hit him on his head.

“Hey what was that for?” Sora complained, rubbing his head where Riku had hit him.

“For being an idiot.” Riku replied.

“Well, do you have any other bright ideas?” Sora asked. When Riku remained silent, Sora grinned, triumphal at his small victory.

“I'll even let you be the first to pick.” Sora smugly said, holding out the dart for Riku.

Grumbling, Riku threw the dart, not really caring where it landed. Unknown to him that, that small and simple act would change his whole world.
