Chapter 2: Meeting Again

 

“K-Kagome.” Kagome's little brothers shocked face quickly reverted back to calm and collected face.

 

“What are you doing here? I thought you had to look for shards” asked Kagome's little brother after he got over his shock.

 

“And here I thought you would be happy to see me again after so long” stated Kagome in a sarcastic voice.

 

“Anyways, now that we're past the greetings I wanted to know when your next team meeting is?”

“It's in about 10 minutes so I have to leave now. So I'll see you later Kagome.”

“Wait, Sasuke! I'm coming with you. There's someone I want to see that's apart of your team, so just hang on a second while I drop my bag in my room.”

“Hurry up then.”

A couple seconds later Kagome came out of her room and she and Sasuke left.

 

~ ~ ~scene change~ ~ ~

 

Upon arriving at the designated area of team 7's meeting, Kagome and Sasuke were greeted with a blond haired boy and pink haired girl in an argument. But the argument suddenly stopped when the girl turned to look at who just arrived. Then an ear-piercing scream from the pink haired girl was heard as she ran up to Sasuke.

 

“SASUKEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!”

 

Kagome turned to Sasuke and asked, “So, aren't you going to introduce me to your friends?”

“They aren't my friends, they're just teammates that I'm stuck with.”

 

Deciding that Sasuke wasn't going to introduce her, Kagome introduced herself to the boy and girl.

 

“Hi, I'm Kagome, it's nice to meet you.”

“Hi, I'm Sakura and it's nice to meet you too.”

“Oi, I'm Naruto Uzamaki and I'm going to be Hokage!!!!”

“I'm sure you will become Hokage some day Naruto” said Kagome.

“Wow you're really nice, but what are you doing with someone as cold as Sasuke?”

 

Upon hearing that Kagome was in some way connected to Sasuke, Sakura became jealous and rage was directed towards Kagome.

 

“Yeah what's your relation to my Sasuke?” asked Sakura with rage and jealousy clear in her voice.

Kagome, not liking how Sakura was acting towards her so suddenly, replied, “It's none of your business but I'm his older sister and he is not yours” replied Kagome in a highly irritated voice.

 

Then out of nowhere Kakashi showed up in front of the team and Kagome. Team 7 and Kagome turned their heads to look in Kakashi's direction and all but one person had a look of annoyance on their faces.

 

“You're late again Kakashi sensei”

“Yeah”

 

But Kakashi was not paying attention to his students; all of his attention was solely directed on Kagome.

 

“Kagome” said Kakashi in a whisper.

“It's nice to see you again after so long Kakashi. I've missed you a lot.”

“I've missed you too.”

“Kakashi, can we talk in private for a couple of minutes?”

“Sure. Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke do some warm ups or sparring while I'm gone.”

“Hai sensei” replied Naruto and Sakura while Sasuke just slightly nodded his head. Then Kagome and Kakashi left to talk in private.

 

~ ~ ~scene change~ ~ ~

 

Standing in the forest just outside of Konoha, stood Kagome and Kakashi. They just stood there for a couple of seconds starring at each other and after a while Kagome couldn't take it anymore so she embraced Kakashi into a hug.

 

“I'm sorry I've been gone for so long Kakashi.”

“It's okay Kagome. I understand that you have responsibilities to take care of in the feudal era of Japan. But I want to know how long will you be staying this time?”

“I'll be staying for 2 weeks starting today. So we have some time to catch up and get reacquainted with each other. Oh and we still have to tell Sasuke about our…um…you know our…engagement” stated Kagome blushing deeply.

“Yes, why don't we go and tell him now since there's no use in prolonging the news” said Kakashi as he kissed her forehead, cheeks and lip.

“Sure. I wonder what his reaction will be and the rest of Konoha when we tell them?” pondered Kagome as she and Kakashi made their way towards team 7.
