+Chapter 5; When I pretend, Everything is what I want it to be+
Orochimaru licked his lips. “Correct.”
“Where’s the REAL Sasuke?!” Naruto snarled at the snake.
“Keh, keh, keh. He refused to come here and do this himself last year so I simply locked him away. And I intend on keeping him there until he rotts.” He said with an evil smirk. “To think such hate coming from his best friend. And all of it directed with a deadly intent on him when he didn’t even want me to do this in the first place. He actually tried to kill me to keep me from coming here last year. But as you should’ve guessed he lost miserably. He couldn’t even get a hit in, even WITH his curse mark. It was quite pitiful actually.”
“BASTARD!” Naruto actually felt some guilt for directly starting to actually want to kill Sasuke. Without a second thought Naruto poofed up a clone and started getting his rasengan ready. Then the clone poofed away and Naruto glared with killer intent at Orochimaru. Everyone else in the room besides Gaara stepped far back. Gaara walked closer until he was standing next to Naruto.
“I’m with you on this one.”
Naruto smirked and charged at Orochimaru. Gaara directed his sand so that it surrounded Orochimaru on all of his sides, besides the one Naruto was charging from. He moved a small amount of his sand to Orochimaru’s belt and it seemed Orochimaru was too busy focusing on Naruto to even notice it. Gaara smirked. Even if Orochimar got away, they would be able to track him right back down by sensing the small amount of chakra in the sand. “DIE!” There was a loud explosion and dust, dirt, and sand flew everywhere. When it cleared out of the way Orochimaru was gone. Naruto’s eyes went back to Naruto and he scowled he flung around. “He got away!” He shouted in his normal voice. Suddenly Gaara grabbed his arm and jumped out the hole in the wall Naruto made when he entered.
“C’mon we can catch him.” Gaara’s senses were going crazy. He sensed his sand, his chakra, and to his pleasure, Orochimaru’s blood. “Oh, and you didn’t miss him. He’s hurt.” Both guys smirked and continued bolting away.

Tsunade and Jiraiya looked around with surprised and annoyed faces. Half the building had been blown away from the power of the attack and multiple ninjas were lying around on the ground below. “Do you think Naruto could have left a little more then half the building when he decided to attack?”
“You know that’s nearly impossible. He’s just as thick headed as ever, if not more.” Jiraiya said with a small chuckle. He actually found the remnants of the building amusing.
“Wonderful.”

Gaara and Naruto had been running for hours on end. Nigh was beginning to fall and it was getting hard to see even with Naruto’s enhanced vision. Gaara stopped and Naruto followed suit. “Why’d we stop?” Naruto was on full alert and his ears were like radar listening for even the slightest disturbance around them. Both were breathing heavily.
“I can smell rain coming. You know how I am when I get wet. We have to camp.” Gaara said while leaning against a tree.
“But, how? We don’t have any tents. It’s not like we got ready for this. And I’m getting hungry.” Naruto sighed in frusration.
“I have some ideas but I won’t be able to do much once it starts raining.”
“No problem. Fire ‘em this way and I’ll take care of them! Believe it!” Naruto said with a goofy grin on his face and a thumbs up.
“Well about five minutes ago we passed a tree with the roots raised out of the ground. We can stay there overnight. There’s also a nearby stream so you can catch some fish and if it hasn’t rained by then I’ll gather firewood so we can make a small fire to cook the fish.”
“Sounds good!” Both boys started bolting back, trying to get there before it rained. They finally arrived at the tree. “I’ll go get some fish!”
“I’ll do my best with the firewood.”
“I can smell the rain now… how much do you think is coming?” Naruto asked quizzically.
“It’s going to be one hell of a downpour, let’s just say that.” Naruto nodded and dashed off towards the river. Gaara walked into some bushes and started picking up some good sized braches and using his sand to break bigger ones in half so he could carry them. As soon as he thought he couldn’t carry anymore a flash of lightning stretched across the sky. Gaara scowled. ‘Damn. I got to get back to the tree and fast.’ He started jogging towards the tree. On his way it started sprinkling. He started to panic a little. He couldn’t even see the tree and it had already begun to rain. Every few minutes it would start to rain harder. Finally he reached the tree and by then half his sand was useless. He practically dove for the sanctuary that was their camp. He sat back away from the opening. Apparently the tree was growing on top of a rock because he bumped into the rock while backing up. He sighed in relief then began to start setting up a fire. About ten minutes later he had a nice fire going and was slowly drying off. Suddenly there was a flash of lightning and a boom of thunder. It was completely pouring outside. Naruto slowly walked in. His hair and clothes were matted to his body and he was holding four fish.
“Heh, how was it?” Gaara asked being a smart ass.
“Hell.” He walked over and stuck the fish on individual sticks and set them up beside the fire to cook.
“you should see yourself.” Naruto glared at Gaara. “You look like a wet cat.”
“Oh, hardy har har. Shut the hell up.”
Gaara chuckled.
