it took so long guys!!! I’ve been totally forgetting about it!! Hope you like this chapter though!
+Chapter 7; The darkness burns, and the sunlight stings+
(that title is from the song ‘My World‘ by SR-71)
Naruto charged at Orochimaru, brandishing two kunai. He pumped chakra into the kunai as he ran, making the knives lengthen into even more deadly weapons. Then he slammed the two handles together, end-to-end, creating a staff with blades on both ends. Naruto’s chakra swirled around it. “Staff of the Moon!” Naruto shouted as he jumped into the air. He did a front flip then started coming down with the blade, attempting to cut Orochimaru right down the middle. Orochimaru glared, then felt something on his back, he smirked after knowing exactly what it was. It wasn’t time. Fox-boy would have to wait.
Naruto slammed the blade down, the moment the blade made contact with Orochimaru, Orochimaru turned into black smoke and drifted higher. The smoke stopped, too high for Naruto to reach, and Kabuto appeared next to him. “You’re not the only one who’s learned new jutsu, Naruto.” Kabuto said smugly.
Orochimaru laughed evilly at Naruto. “Keh keh keh, you didn’t honestly think you would be able to beat me so easily, did you?” Naruto growled and sent deadly glares shooting at him. “I can’t imagine how you must see us right now. But honestly… I don’t care.”
“I see liers and theives who fuse power with greed!” Naruto snarled.
(That was actually from the song ‘No More Sorrow’ by Linkin Park. I like to use little quotes from songs as you probably have been able to tell.)
Orochimaru made a fake wince. “Oh, that one stung a little.” he chuckled again before he and Kabuto disappeared in more black smoke.
Naruto growled and punched a wall next to him. He held his fist there. “He got away…”
Sasuke and Gaara walked over two him. They stayed silent as Naruto started pulling back his fist. His knuckles were busted and there was blood streaming from little scratches on his knuckles. Gaara glanced around the room, taking a quick mental survey of the damage. Sasuke just kinda zoned after taking in the he couldn’t even graze a hair on Orochimaru’s head with his chidori, and yet Naruto could attack recklessly and seriously injure him? It made no sense! “C’mon Naruto. He’s long gone. Who knows where they reappeared? Let’s just head back to Konoha. He’ll show up again sooner or later.”
Naruto reluctantly agreed to go home. He had to admit, it wasn’t a total loss. They FINALLY rescued Sasuke, he almost killed Orochimaru, and he wasn’t even hurt! It was pure dumb luck but they did it!

The three were walking home. Naruto huffed. “now the only other question is how will they react to Sasuke?”
Sasuke didn’t say anything. He just kept staring ahead of him and walking. Gaara sighed. “They won’t be welcoming him with open arms I can tell you that.”

They finally reached the gates of Konoha. Naruto and Gaara walked eagerly to the village. Both were tired and couldn’t wait to finally get to somewhere safe and relax. Sasuke stopped for a moment then reluctantly followed behind them. They entered the village and everyone stopped what they were doing and stared at Sasuke. It was obvious that news was out about what had happened in the Hokage’s office so now they didn’t even know if this Sasuke was even the real Sasuke. Sasuke quickened his pace slightly and caught up to Naruto and Gaara. Gaara quietly explaned to him what exactly had happened until they got back to the Hokage’s office.

So what’d you guys think?? It took an EXTREMELY long time just for me to get off my lazy ass and finish this chapter. -.- But I hope you guys liked It nonetheless. And sorry it was so short but I started running out of ideas for the chapter.
