guys! Sorry it’s been like what? 3 months? Since I updated this, but well I’m extremely lazy and have huge writers block… Well I’m basically struggling with writing this but I’m sure once I get into the swing of what I’m writing, I’ll be fired up right away. I’ve got a lot going. I’m challenging myself extremely by trying to keep five stories going @.@. I’m killing myself. +Chapter 8; It‘s a Beautiful Day… Don‘t let it get away+

They were finally in the Hokage Tower and were talking about an important problem. Tsunade stared at the three young men before him. “Who’s going to be Hokage?” She asked seriously.
Naruto’s ears perked at the question. Adrenaline shot through his body and his mind chanted ‘Pick me. Pick me. Pick me.’ over and over again and to tell the truth, it was driving him crazy. “D-do you know who’s going to be the new Hokage? A-Are we even going to count Orochimaru as the 6th Hokage even though it was unintended?”
“Well here’s the complicated part…” Tsunade sighed, it was definitely going to be hard. “As of right now I’m reinstated as Hokage, but I want to stay retired, therefore I have to pick the 7th Hokage. We have to count Sasuke as being the 6th Hokage but he will not automatically fill in and never will the 6th Hokage even be reinstated. The whole thing was a lie. There’s nothing against Sasuke, it was all Orochimaru’s doing. But nonetheless, it was a lie and the 6th Hokage has been permanently removed from the board of Hokages and shall never be called Hokage again. So back to the topic of who is to be the 7th…” She paused.
Sasuke stood up. “Excuse me but Hokage-sama?”
Tsunade looked at him. “Yes?”
“May I please talk to you outside for a moment?”
Tsunade paused and decided against it just in case he was planning something. He couldn’t be trusted that easily, especially after that stunt that was pulled with the fake Hokage. “Whatever it is, you can say it here with trusted ears.” She kept her look hard and stern, not letting up a moment.
Sasuke paused. ‘She doesn’t trust me… oh well…’ Sasuke sighed. “I wanted to know if it you would make Naruto Hokage. Not only is it his dream but I think he earned it. He’s always been loyal to the village as well.” Naruto stared at his friend in disbelief. Sasuke has NEVER recommended him for ANYTHING before, let alone to be Hokage! Gaara had the same look of disbelief along with Tsunade. They were slack-jawed staring at Sasuke. “What?”
Tsunade regained her composer and sat back in her seat. “Well… I guess that’s actually not a bad idea…” Tsunade said in a thinking kind of voice. Naruto turned his head in the blink of an eye and was now looking at Tsunade. “Naruto is a very strong and competent Ninja, although you’ve been gone and therefore haven’t really exceeded any ranks, we need to know what level you are at…”
Gaara stepped in. “On the mission he handled himself well. He actually thought of the idea of disguising ourselves as Orochimaru’s henchmen and sneaking into his base. He almost killed Orochimaru, I think Orochimaru lost his arm in the battle as well. Naruto not only has grown physically and expanded his range of Jutsu extremely well, but he has also grown mentally. He may still act goofy but he knows how to use his brain now. So I too, recommend Naruto for Hokage.” Naruto couldn’t believe this. Was his dream finally going to come true.
Tsunade stood up. “That settles that.” Naruto’s eyes widened. For once he wanted to stay quiet in order to listen. “All that’s left is I have to consult the Elders. If they agree, Naruto will be known as the 7th Hokage.” Tsunade smiled widely and walked out of her office.
Naruto fainted…

Naruto finally woke up and Gaara and Sasuke were sitting down looking at him. Naruto shot up. “Is she back?!” He asked excitedly.
Gaara sighed. “No not yet. She’s been gone for two hours… I’m starting to wonder if she’s even talking to them.” Just then Tsunade walked in with all the elders following behind her at their own pace. They lined up along the walls of the room. Naruto, Sasuke, and Gaara all stood. Naruto gulped and stared eagerly at Tsunade.
Tsunade put something behind her back and walked up to Naruto. “The decision of who would be the 7th Hokage was unanimous.” She smiled and her eyes watered with happiness for the boy. “Congratulations, Naruto. As of this second, you will now be known as the 7th Hokage.” Tsunade pulled out the item she hid behind her back. It was the Hat of the Hokage. She proudly placed it on Naruto’s head. “You’ve finally accomplished your dream.
Naruto’s eyes watered and he gave his favorite toothy grin. “Thank you, so much, grandma Tsunade.”
Tsunade let the ‘grandma’ thing slide this time and just chose to give him a huge hug. She got a hold of herself. “C’mon, I gotta show you something.” Tsunade led Naruto, Sasuke, Gaara, and the elders to the roof of the Hokage building. Naruto gazed at the sunset. The sky was a vibrant mixture of pink and orange and yellow. It was beautiful. Tsunade walked to the edge of the roof and looked down. “Over here, Naruto.” Everyone moved over closer to the edge so that they could see. Naruto was amazed at what he saw. Everyone in the village was in one big crowd at the bottom of the Hokage tower. “Can I have your attention please?!” Tsunade shouted to the villagers who were talking away. Everyone them shut their mouths and looked up. “I would like to present the 7th Hokage!! Naruto Uzumaki!!” Everyone cheered like crazy. All of his friends from the Rookie 9, and Gai’s squad lit off fireworks and party poppers and were just being extremely loud celebrating Naruto becoming Hokage.
“YAHOOO!!!!!! GOOOO NARUTO!!!!!” Kiba shouted, lighting off a firework. Everyone cheered and just had a good time and watched the fireworks. There were banners that read ‘Congratulations Naruto’ or ‘We Love you!’ or something of that variety. Naruto let his tears fall freely and he proudly put on the Hokage robes over his own clothes. Gaara walked up next to him and gave him a pat on the shoulder.
“Congratulations. You really did earn it.” Gaara said sincerely. Naruto smiled and crushed him in the biggest hug in the world. Naruto then turned to Sasuke. Sasuke smirked and walked up to Naruto. He draped his arm over Naruto’s shoulders and looked at everyone below.
“Guess I can’t call you ‘dobe’ anymore, can I?” He chuckled.
Naruto chuckled as well and just draped his arm over Sasuke’s shoulder. He then did the same for Gaara with his other arm. Gaara smirked and draped his arm over Naruto’s shoulders as well. Everyone cheered even more at the display. The three of them smiled happily and watched the fireworks. After the fireworks the three of them walked down the stairs on the side of the Hokage tower and joined everyone below. Naruto got tons of hugs and pats on the back. Then a festival broke out throughout the entire village. Everyone changed into formal clothing. Naruto and Gaara obviously stayed in their Kage robes though. Naruto walked down the streets of Konoha. Kids were playing games, a band was playing in the center of the village, restaurants and stores had huge discounts on everything. And there were games. Naruto walked to his favorite place. Ichiraku Ramen. He sat down excitedly and the cook gave him a free, extra-large, bowl of pork ramen. Naruto smirked. “Thanks old man!” He said happily.
“Watch the ‘old-man’ crap.” The cook chuckled and handed him the bowl. Naruto had finished the bowl within seconds. Naruto gave a fulfilling sigh and ordered another. Just then a familiar face sat down besides him.
Naruto smirked. “Hey Gaara!” Naruto looked to Gaara’s side and noticed a woman about their age clinging on to Gaara’s arm. And what looked like great news was that she was pregnant. “Who’s this?” He asked with a curious smile.
“This is my wife. Nanami. We’re expecting our first kid soon as you can see.” Gaara was filled with pride as Nanami gave him a light kiss on the cheek.
Naruto smirked and patted his friend on the shoulder. “Congratulations! Really! That’s great! I’m happy that you are doing well!” He was extremely proud of his friend yet jealous that he himself still hasn’t found anyone.
“Well, we’re going to go walk around. I just wanted to introduce you too. The fireworks are going to start up again in a few.” Gaara waved goodbye and walked out of the shop.
Naruto called back to his friend. “Alright! See you around!” Naruto finished up his second bowl and paid for it. He then walked out and noticed that they had just lit off the first firework. Naruto smiled and jumped on top of a roof and sat down on the edge, letting his feet dangle of the side. This had to be the best day of his life. Just then another familiar face appeared next to him. “Hinata? Good to see you!” Naruto smiled at the shy kunoichi and gave her a small welcoming wave. “How have you been?”
“It’s good to see you too. I’ve been fine. Honestly I missed you a lot.” Hinata said with a small blush.
‘Wow, she got over her stuttering! And she’s really cute when she blushes like that…’ He blushed a little and rubbed the back of his head, flashing a toothy grin. He always, secretly liked her since the chuunin exams when they were kids. “I missed you too, Hinata!”
Hinata turned even more red. “Naruto, there’s something that I’ve been wanting to tell you ever since we were in the Ninja Academy…” She gave a shy smile.
“Hmm? What is it?” Naruto asked eager to find out.
“Naruto, I… I love you!!” She blushed deep red and looked to see his reaction.
Naruto was in utter shock. He gave her a soft smile. He leaned in slowly and gave her a soft kiss on the lips. He backed up just a little bit but she moved towards him. They kissed again, but this time longer. They repeated that a few times, each time getting longer. Eventually they started a full fledged make-out session. Hinata thought her heart was going to explode with excitement. Naruto was feeling the same thing. Naruto finally parted the kiss. He rested his forehead on hers. He smiled and stared into her white eyes. She gave a small, cute, smile as well and pecked him on the tip of his nose. Naruto then leaned in to right next to her ear. “I love you too.”
