~With Hinata (Hinata's POV)~

“You WHAT?!?” shrieks Sakura.

I wince at her shriek. “Wahhh,” cries the child in my arms.

“Shh,” I hiss to Sakura while rocking the small child. “I didn't know I did it until I did it. It just…felt right. Like…I don't know. (Whisper) I kind of get the same feeling that I used to get with Naruto-kun.”

“Ooo,” says Sakura. “You have a crush on him.”

I blush. “A crush on who?” asks a voice, it's Naruto. I blush more. It's more out of reflex then anything else.

“On..,” Sakura starts and I cover her mouth and glare at her. She blanches and stops trying to talk.

“It none of your business for now, Naru-kun,” I say sternly, feeling confident that he won't hold my assertiveness badly.

“Wow,” he says in awe. “I guess you can get some nerves when you're wired.”

I blush again. He and Sakura have been helping me gain some assertiveness. The first time was against Neji-nii-san (hope that's right). It shocked all of us. After that, I never been afraid to call him just plain Neji and have him call me Hinata without the honorific. Everyone looks at me with new respect. I still occasionally slip into my old ways, but not having to go back to my old home supports the new spirit I'm acquiring. It's freeing to have my own home and now friends that I can have over. I have given up on Naruto-kun when I saw him and Sakura kiss one day long ago. We're working on some of the younger patients when I get a summon…from Neji…an upset Neji.

“The Hokage will see you,” he hisses, “NOW!”

~Meanwhile w/Gaara (Gaara's POV) -starting from the kiss on the cheek~

He stands at the door.

`What the Hell just happened?' I question myself.

/You got a kiss, kid. Jeez, I been telling you this for the past few minutes/ grumbles Shukaku. /Just ask that sister of yours. She'll explain it all. *Dark chuckles*/

`Shut UP!' I yell at him. I open the door and see my siblings in the living room.

“Hey ya, Gaara,” says Kankuro. “What's up?”

“I just got kissed,” I say with a monotone voice. I watch my brother fall to the floor in a faint and my sister impersonating a fish. “Stop that.” Then Temari faints. *Deep sigh* `I thought you said that she could help.'

*Laughter*/Did you see that?!?/ Shukaku asks between his laughter. /That was soooo funny. I think I just found a new venue of entertainment. Oh! Oh! I just got the best idea! Tell her that you fucked the woman who kissed you. Maybe she'll die of shock/

`SHUT UP!' I yells at him.

/You're no fun/

*Growls* “Whatever. I'm out of here.”

I vanish in a whirl of sand to appear on a monument's head just next to the city. *Sigh* `What am I doing here?' I ask as I gaze at the city as the wind plays with my hair.

“GAARA!!!” shouts a voice. It's Naruto. “Gaara! What ya doin'?”

“Hn,” I answer with a small smile. He's the only one I feel somewhat comfortable around because he's like me. A demon vessel.

“The old lady sent me to find you,” he tells me, “She has a mission for you, if you want.”

“Hn,” I answer and vanish again in a whirl of sand.

“Oh, man,” grumbles Naruto just as I disappear.

`Wonder what she want?' I ask myself as I appear at the tower. I glare at the guards and gain access into the tower. I wait now in the inner room before the door to the Hokage. How such a woman gained that position I don't know and I don't want to know. Now, I just have to wait, but for how long?
