Chapter 3
Prison's Hardships
Everyone looked up from the confines of the heavy, steel net, to see Sakura… sneering down at them? Sakura…? Sneering… at… them? All of them? Even… Sasuke?
Even voiced their version of `Why did you go, Sakura?' only to be answered by a simple, yet horrible gut wrenching: Because I wanted to.
Sakura…?
Yes, Sasuke san?
San?
What you think I'd still say `kun' and drool all over you? Ha!
…?
Take them to them all to dungeon 2b, cell 8.
Yes, Commander.
Commander? Who are you? Where is Sakura…? Have you… really changed into this… this… cold heartless… I can hardly call you a person now Sakura… What happened that made you change so much?
All of Team R was chained to the solid cement walls of their dark, mangy, cell. The wounds they acquired from the fight with Sakura remained untreated, letting the life force of many of the members; slowly ooze out of their bodies.
Shino and Naruto sustained some rather nasty slashes but were able to heal themselves quickly from the bugs and Kyuubi.
Neji managed to only gather a few scrapes and bruises, while TenTen on the other hand was bashed senseless. It took all of her remaining energy to stay conscious during Sakura's and Sasuke's `chat', as the pink haired ninja put it.
Shikamaru was fairly bashed and bruised but unscratched none the less. Sasuke was completely unharmed due to the fact that he was snagged in swarm of kunai and pinned to solid rock behind him, and then Sound nin came out and tied him up, leaving the rest of the team having to fight Sakura themselves.
I still can not believe how strong Sakura got so fast…

Two large, stone doors, swung open groaning their protests in creaking whispers, a tall, lithe figure entered a large, circular room with solid stone floors and walls, giving the darkened room the look of creatures lurking in the deeper shadows, hiding from the only source of light; a large urn seated, in the center of the room.
Made out of the purist of marble, trimmed with silver and finely detailed miniature skeletons of black marble piled on the base of the urn, while gold flowers danced near the lid; this was laced with both black marble and gold, the two weaving in and out of each other, trying to claim dominance of the white surface.
A soft, white light illuminated from the beautiful, and also deadly, looking piece of hollow stone. The dark figure slowly stepped in closed the large wooden doors behind him. Then turning quickly around to face his masterpiece, cloak swinging around his form with ease, he carefully approached the tall urn acting as though any wrong step or noise would brake his object of power, of death, of life… of demons.

Kiba, Ino, Hinata, Chouji, Lee and Gaara were all called up to the Hokage's office 3 months after the initial departure of Team R and 2 months since their last report was sent. The fact that they were all called up either meant 2 things: Team R is dead or they are being sent out to find them. Either way is not good for their moral since the team held the strongest of ninjas in its arsenal.
Tsunade sama's only `comforting' words was that should they fail or they are unable to find them; that ANBU would be sent.
`yeah right. As if Tsunade would sacrifice more people on this goose chase. No one has reported Team R anywhere, except the town close by that we got the first lead from. Honestly, who would forget a group of teens carrying around weapons and asking if they have seen a pink haired female in the area? This must be bigger then we thought it would. Ah, shit.'
“And you are hereby named as Team C, short for Team Control.”
“Ah, welcome young nin. I see you have been sent out to look for your lost comrades? Yes?” The Elder surprised Team C by revealing what he should not. No one was supposed to know that Team R is gone, as well as Sakura. If the Elder knew, surely the entire village, nay, Leaf knows about this tragedy. Not Good!
“Excuse me Elder,” Kiba needed to know how big this really is, maybe they could contain it or somethin'. “Just how, when, why, and who else knows this?”
“Don't worry it's just me and the reason why I do is strictly my business, not yours. Now, come. Mizu will take you to Team R's last location.” Then man walked back into the pub and out came a teen girl with blond hair and ocean blue-green eyes. She inclined he head to her right and started walking in that direction; baggy bellbottoms dragging, and tee shirt hanging off her form.
Once out of the village, Mizu took to the road heading towards Sand and began running down, Team C, not far behind.
Reaching a small field Mizu raised her hand and gestured to them all to rest. While every sat and catch their breath, even Lee hadn't had a run that working and tiring, Mizu searched the field and drank from her leather-skin bottle. A few times she halted here and there on the field and took note of a flat-sided boulder with the tiniest of holes in it, four or five in total.
Gaara noticed this and went over, ignoring his limbs, screaming their own silent protests along the way, and watched her. Mizu shook her head and followed an unseen trail over to the other end of the field halting to pick up a shed of orange clothe…
“Naruto!” Hinata was also watching and new that color any where. Naruto had definitely been here, she was sure of it.
“A battle was raged here and by the looks of it,” Gaara looked over the field. “was covered up so no one knew where they went or what even really happen.” The red head then turned his gaze on Mizu who was still inspecting the tattered material.
“Mizu…” Kiba growled. The prospect of his friends getting hurt, or worse, was making him aggravated. “You know what happened here don't you. Don't you!” He was more along the line of stating a fact then asking a question… and he was right. Mizu nodded her head meekly and set off down through the trees, taking out a sandwich from her bag, setting her pace as though she was crippled and old.
The pace after arriving at the field was slow and steady, Mizu always had her head bowed and stayed in front by two whole meters at least. Her silence was more unsettling as ever, as though she knew and feared what lay ahead. Luckily the journey went by without interference but it was when they reached a town called Mourn did they walk upon danger…
“Oops,” Kiba whispered as the herd of angry towns' men and women come down upon them. “I guess I shouldn't have made that joke of that pot thingy…”
“POT THINGY!” Now Kiba's really done it this time. The village people shoved their pitch forks and flaming torches at the small group.
“I hate you so much now Kiba.” Ino had enough with the dog-loving-sniveling-little-shi-
“You'll pay for insulting our leader's sacrifice for saving our village!” The crowed jeered and closed in even closer to the small group.
“Oh dear…” Hinata was truly horrified by the sudden change in the villagers attitude was shivering to prove it on one of the warmest nights of the year might I add.
“Okay…” Lee whispered into their ears.” When I say go, run in all different directions and we'll all meet up at the cemetery's Fallen Angel grave.” Everyone nodded their agreement and waited for the word to be said…
“…GO!”
Soft warmth radiated with the light and so strengthened with the approach of the demons. All it takes is three demons to unleash the fury of Souzousha. Fire, Sand, and Water. The three elements needed to awaken the true master. And I will be the one to control it…
Team C took off into different directions at Lee's command, each member making their way to the local village cemetery, heading towards the well known Fallen Angel grave. As so named because of an unmarked gravestone carved into the figure of an Angel with broken wings, and tears of stone perfectly expressing the depression of a Fallen Angel, no one knows how long the grave has been there, said to have been found there by the founder of the village and that everyone who has tried to uncover the mystery of the grave either died of illness or just… disappeared.
Kiba and Lee got to the grave first, and huddled behind the angel, both just short of her height.
“Man, I'm so sorry I messed up pretty badly…” Kiba was seriously depressed having probably blown the whole mission.
“Don't worry Kiba,” Lee smiled merrily at his team mate. “It will get better, and who knows, maybe it was for the best?”
“Yeah, right. How can I yelling insults about the villager's sacred urn of their elder be for the `greater good-Aaah!” Kiba and Lee both screamed as they plummeted into darkness, leaving behind the light of the waxing moon and stars.
Mizu, mean while, was having problems of her own,
#1 the villagers seem to have developed a `fondness' for her and were blocking all the exits in the walled village, hence blocking her escape to the cemetery beyond. And
#2 It seems Team C and herself were not the only ninjas in Mourn on a mission. oh dear… What's a girl to do when out numbered and totally annoyed beyond compare? Kick ass of course! Let the games begin!
“Did you hear that?” Hinata asked her red haired team mate, she swore she heard someone scream nearby... Gaara stood still and shook his negative. “Oh, ok.” The pair continued walking towards the appointed destination, only a stone's throw away.
“Hinata! Gaara!” Ino yelled from their left and she screeched to a halt in front of them, slightly wheezing from her long dash from Mourn. “I had most of the village chasing me!” Ino straightened up and asked if they had seen Kiba, Mizu or Lee. They both answered `no'. “Oh well.” So the trio went their way to the grave.

Kakashi has, once again, drunk himself senseless after hearing that Sakura was missing. Every day and night she has been gone he blames himself for her disappearance… Was it my fault? Did that night anger her so much she wants revenge? If I didn't go out to the bar with maybe she would still have gone… What happened to me? Why did I do that to her? SHIT! Kakashi threw his empty sake bottle at his bedroom wall and watched it brake without so much as flinching.
“Kakashi…” Iruka poked his head into the bedroom and spied the broken glass… That makes 4 now… Where does he keep getting those bottles anyway? “Come on Kakashi, it's not your fault-”
“And how do YOU know THAT!? It could very well be MY fault that Sakura left…” Kakashi's words were all slurred together.
“And where is the proof that it is?” The brown haired shinobi countered.
“Where is the proof that it isn't!?”
“… Move over.” Kakashi moved on his bed to make room for Iruka and continued his staring match on the wall opposite. Iruka sat down next to Kakashi, wrapped his arm around his partners shoulders and had the grey haired ninja rest his head on his shoulder.
“… You'll never win. That wall has always beaten me.”

“Ooh, my ass hurts like hell…” Akamaru `yipped' his reply on top of Kiba's head and looked around, clinging protectively to his master's head. “Glad you're okay… Lee! Are you down here?”
“Behind you…” Kiba looked back to see Lee…
“What… the… FUCK!?” Kiba yelled at the sight of Lee.
“Do y-you think you could, umm, find the key… or something…?” Lee stuttered. Kiba was very shocked to find that his friend was chained by his wrists to one of the brick walls. What had made it hard to understand is that a short but thick metal bar came out of the wall to Lee's left far enough so the green clad teen had to bend at a right angle.
“Uhh, right… sure, hang on,”
“K… Ki…ba…?”
“… Naruto?”
A man with a black overcoat decorated with red clouds stepped in front of Mizu, showing no desire to fight.
“You have two choices,” The shark-like man called out. “Either come peacefully… or, we bound and gag you,” The man smirked at the last remark and flexed his back muscles slightly so as to draw attention to the overly large and bandaged sword on his back… Mizu looked at the weapon skeptically, guessing that such a weapon could only do blunt damage. “Don't think I'm serious do you? Well, let's see how you think after I gag you myself!”
“Mizu san! Kiba san! Lee san! Where are those three? They should have been here by now.” Ino impatiently stamped her foot on the ground, She, Gaara and Hinata have been waiting at the grave for well over hour and still no sign of either of them! “Grr… Where the hell are they!?”
“Perhaps they were caught…?” Hinata spoke softly from behind Gaara.
“Maybe…”
“Someone's coming…” Gaara looked to the direction of which the village lay and listened for the newcomers. “Hide.”
The small Akatsuki group stopped at the Fallen Angel grave, one of the members by the name of Diepara, had hold of Mizu, the blue skinned man walked a few steps away from the group and yelled for the three `twerps' to come out unless they wanted Mizu to `die with the Angel'… Aha, ha, haaaaa… VERY funny… moron. -_-;;
“…Naruto?” Kiba looked out from his corner of the cell to see a tuff of blond hair shining from the cell across from the one Lee, Akamaru and he shared. “Naruto! You're alive!?... w-what… What the fuck HAPPENED to you!?” Kiba had walked up to his cell's bars and looked through to the blonds to see… “You're…”
“Kiba…” His head dropped as he fainted; arms chained to the wall, forcing the push of gravity onto his already blue-black wrists, only wearing his loud orange cargo pants.
“What have they been DOING to you guys?” Kiba tightened his grip on the bars, his knuckles showing white.
“Kiba…?” Lee couldn't see from his position. “What's wrong? Is Naruto kun okay?” The green clad ninja tried to see round to the other side but he had no leeway from the chains on his wrists. He heard soft, almost silent, sobs coming from his teammate's direction. “K… Kiba?” Whatever it is or was he saw, he was deeply upset about it…
Oh dear. All is not boding well for out hero's, is it?
