CHAPTER 2

 

Itachi's POV

“Itachi Uchiha, report to Kakashi-sensei's office immediately”

I groan as the announcement comes over the PA system.

Kisame on the other hand cheered its alright for him…he's not about to get raked over the coals by Kakashi.

 

As I walked towards the office I racked my brains trying to think of what I had done lately to get me called to Kakashi's office…I mean seniors don't get called here for no reason at all…I came up blank.

It was with a feeling of trepidation that I pushed open the door to Kakashi's office.

 

“Itachi…I'm glad you made it” beamed Kakashi.

“Look sensei, whatever you have dragged me in here for I didn't do it ok.” I stated.

“Hmm guilty conscience have we” he mused.

“No, but whenever something goes wrong I'm automatically blamed” I protested.

Which is true…you see I'm what some call the bad boy of the school. A troublemaker if you will.

“That's because it usually is you…or one of your friends” Kakashi pointed out.

“That's not the point, the point is-“

“Ok I get it. Poor Itachi your sooo mistreated” he mocked.

“I don't have to sit here and listen to this,” I growled, standing up.

 

“Not so fast Mr. Uchiha I know it was you and your associates responsible for defacing the statue of our principal” Kakashi stated calmly.

I froze how did he know about that?!?!

“And”

“And” he continued, “by rights, I should tell Tsunade, she is furious about it, but I'm not going to on one condition”

I weighed up the pro's and cons, Tsunade is terrifying when angered…hell she's the only teacher that scares me. Nothing Kakashi can do to me could possibly be worse than that.

 

“Oh yeah” I glare at him “And what would that be?”

“Your good at maths right?”

I blink in surprise…this was unexpected.

“Yeah” My grades are the only thing stopping me being kicked out of school for my practical jokes. “Why?”

“I want you to tutor a year 11 boy for me,” he continues in a tone that suggests it would be best not to argue. “His name is Naruto Uzamaki, he's smart but he lacks discipline to learn…something you can relate to, no?”

Before I can answer there's a knock on the door.

 

Naruto's POV

I open the door slowly and walk towards Kakashi-sensei's desk.

“Ah Naruto, good timing” he says, “we were just talking about you”

 

It was then I noticed the other person sitting in the room.

Shoulder length, spiky black hair, taller than me and slightly built. But it was the slightly red-tinted eyes I noticed first.

I gasped NO WAY, What was he doing here?!?!

 

“Naruto, this is Itachi, he has agreed to tutor you in maths.

 

Thought raced through my head What was he thinking…does he know…no he can't…how could any one know I haven't told anyone about my crush on Itachi.

I groan inwardly as I realized that with Itachi as my tutor there was no way I was going to be able to concentrate and ass the end of year tests. The Gods must really hate me.

 

Kakashi and Itachi were still looking at me…waiting for a reply.

 

Itachi's POV

Wait a minute…this is the guy I am supposed to be tutoring. There is only one word to describe this boy… HOT!!

 

Long blonde hair goes to his waist, currently tied in a high ponytail. He's a little shorter then me; lean with a hint on muscle and the bluest eyes I have even seen.

 

I come to my senses and realized Kakashi is still speaking.

“-tutor you in maths” he concluded.

I watched Naruto's brain ticking as he processed the information, then suddenly he beamed at us.

“Great I need all the help I can get!!”

 

“Excellent” Kakashi claps his hands together “you can start tomorrow, come and see me before school please.”

 

As we go to leave Kakashi grabs my arm.

“Try not to corrupt the boy to much, I don't want him to have the same behavior as you.” He warned.

“Ill try.” I replied.

I wasn't going to corrupt his behavior…I had much bigger plans in mind.
