Chapter 2

 

Another dark, cold night brewed in Konoha. Nami looked down at the two holes on her wrists where the guy, who claimed he was a vampire, bit her the night before. Nami got up and walked to the door and she put open her jacket. She had to find the guy from last night; she somehow had to prove that he wasn't a vampire. Nami walked outside, into the cold air and harsh winds. Nami began o walk to the alley, where she had met the so-called `vampire.'

 

Sasuke's red eyes gazed on his next victim. She was a tall brunette, who was stupid enough to go walking alone at night. Sasuke's fangs showed as he smiled. Sasuke leaped at the girl; his teeth slowly dug into her neck. The girl's blood was warm and bitter, but Sasuke sucked her blood dry. He let the girl drop to the ground; Sasuke looked up. The girl from last night was standing six feet away from him. Her eyes were bloodshot. Sasuke grinned.

 

“You just couldn't get enough of me, now could you?” he questioned.

 

Sasuke took a step towards her. Nami was frozen in her tracks. He really was a vampire! Sasuke approached Nami.

 

“Get away from me!” Nami yelled.

 

Sasuke laughed as he kept walking towards her. Nami started to run. She ran down the street, under the streetlights. Nami ran out onto the dock over the lake, there were no boats.

 

“Damn it!” Nami said.

 

She had pretty much just cornered herself. Her choices were either to jump into the lake or be killed by a vampire. It seemed like it should be an easy choice, but just one problem; Nami couldn't swim. Nami looked around; the vampire wasn't anywhere in sight. Maybe she had lost him. Nami began to make her way off the dock; suddenly the vampire was standing in her way.

 

“Where are you going so fast, love?” Sasuke asked.

 

Nami started to back up.

 

“Leave me alone!” she shouted.

 

“Now why do you want me to do a thing like that?” Sasuke questioned, while getting closer and closer to Nami.

 

The space between Nami and the end of the dock grew smaller and smaller. She reached that end of the dock, but she didn't realize it.

 

“You've got no where left to run,” Sasuke said.

 

“Wha- what do you mean?” Nami asked.

 

Sasuke laughed, showing his fangs. Nami took a step back and fell into the lake; her head went under the water. Nami was slowly loosing oxygen. Her eyes closed and she passed out, from the lack of air. The last thing she saw was the figure above the water, standing at the end of the dock.

Nami opened her eyes. She wasn't dead! Nami sat up, in shock. She was on a soft, king-sized bed; it had blood red silk blankets and lots of pillows. Nami looked down at herself. She was wearing a long black dress; it had a low-neck line and it had lace on it. A piece of Nami's long blackish red hair fell infront of her hazel eyes.

 

“Where am I?” Nami asked herself out loud.

 

Nami looked around the room; it was lit with candles and it was very gothic like, the walls were painted blood red. In the corner was a chair. In the chair sat Sasuke, his elbows on his legs and his fingers weaved together. Nami looked at him.

 

“Where am I? Why did you bring me here?” she asked.

 

You lay there silently sleeping,

I'm just a shadow,

Admiring you from afar.

 

Sleep with caution,

And dream of a world,

That's only imaginary.

 

I'll protect you,

I will lay awake,

And watch over you.

 

Sleep silently,

I need you,

For every breath I take.

Yet again the vampire Sasuke, answered Nami through a poem.

 

“I don't understand. Who are you?” Nami asked.

 

“My name is Sasuke,” Sasuke replied.

 

“I'm Nami. Did you save me from drowning in the lake after you forced me in?” Nami questioned.

 

Sasuke smirked.

 

“It was your own fault you fell in the lake, but yes I did save you,” Sasuke answered.

 

“Thank you,” Nami said.

 

Sasuke looked at her.

 

“Why are you thanking me?” he asked.

 

“Because you saved my life,” Nami answered.

 

Sasuke looked away from Nami.

 

“Hn. You're welcome,” he replied.

 

Nami sat down on the bed.

 

“So, where am I?” she asked.

 

Sasuke went and sat beside Nami, on the bed.

 

“I can't tell you that. All you can know is that it's where I live,” Sasuke answered.

 

“Why did you bring me here? Your poem didn't make it clear why you did.” Nami said.

 

“You were drowning and I saved you, so I wasn't just going to leave you there,” Sasuke replied. “And I changed your clothes because you need something dry to wear.”

 

“What? Wait! You changed my clothes?” Nami questioned.

 

Sasuke looked at her.

 

“How do you think I got them on you? Did you think a fairy came along and magically changed your clothes?” Sasuke asked.

 

Nami was shocked.

 

“No, but I just didn't think that you would have changed my clothes,” she said.

 

Sasuke grinned.

 

“Did you not want me to change your clothes and see you naked?” he asked, almost laughing.

 

“Well of course I didn't want you to-!” Sasuke put his finger over Nami's mouth.

 

Nami immanently stopped talking. Sasuke leaned over to Nami's ear.

 

“I long to feel the warmth of your skin,” Sasuke whispered.

 

Nami blushed. Sasuke started to kiss her on the ear, he moved down to her lips. Nami suddenly felt as if she was in a Trans and that she couldn't control herself. After all that was the kind of effect a vampire can have on people. Nami laid down of the bed, without breaking the kiss. In the heat of the moment Sasuke's nails cut Nami's shoulder. Sasuke smelled the blood, running down Nami's shoulder. Sasuke immanently broke the kiss and backed away from Nami. Nami sat up; the feeling of being in a Trans was gone. Sasuke looked away from her.

 

“You have to go,” he said.

 

“Why?” Nami asked.

 

Sasuke smirked.

 

“If I kept you here any longer, I'd probably kill you,” he answered.

 

Nami nodded her head.

 

“Ok,” she whispered.

 

Sasuke turned around and looked at Nami, he smiled.

 

“Besides, it's not all your fault, I'm not supposed to bring humans back here anyway,” Sasuke pointed out.

 

He walked towards Nami and pulled her dress strap back on her shoulder.

 

“How am I supposed to leave, when I don't even no where I am?” Nami question.

 

“I'll take you back, but you still can't know where this place this,” Sasuke replied.

 

“Umm… ok, but, I still have one question. Will I ever see you again?” Nami asked.

 

Sasuke kissed her on the cheek.

 

“Of course,” he whispered.

 

Nami suddenly passed out; Sasuke had knocked her out.

Nami woke up in her house and in her own bed. Had everything that had just happen been all a dream or was she really falling in love with a vampire. Nami looked down at herself, she was still wearing the black dress Sasuke put her in. So it wasn't a dream.
