Summary: In this chapter you get to find out who Naruto actually is; this kind of ties in with his partial amnesia. I might also have Sasuke show his wings but I'm still debating. Almost forgot the beginning of this story continues from the last chapter. Chapter 2: Who is Uzumaki, Naruto?The bell announcing third period rang throughout the halls. There shrieks playing loudly on the ears of children before they were drowned out by the noise of rambunctious laughter. Naruto was used to the ever so annoying shrill of the bell that he had learned to ignore it. Gathering his stuff he turned to get out of his chair ignoring the pair of onyx eyes that were staring in his direction. Standing fully he left through the door only stopping momentarily to remove the soft hand that had gently caressed his own. Naruto's mind was currently on the fritz and Kyuubi was not helping any.“Hey Naruto!” a tanned boy with red markings on his face made his way over to the contemplative boy.“Hey Kiba, didn't think senior year would be this eventful, huh?” The blond grinned as he nudged his best friend. “Who would've thought you and shy little Hinata?”“C'mon Naruto you know it isn't like that between us. We still haven't officially gone out yet.” The dog boy was blushing, he had yet to ask the shy girl out but Naruto knew of his failed attempt during summer break.“Dog boy you still can't be miffed that you ended up face first in the dirt when you tried to ask her out last time.” The blond looked bummed that his friend had yet to forgive him for jumping him when Akamaru stole his shoes.“Of course I am; you had to choose that time to get back at me for Akamaru.” Kiba moved so that he kept some distance between him and his friend. The anger he felt toward the blond still remained as the memory returned to him.“Aw, don't be like that.” Naruto smiled when an idea hit him, “How about I make it up to you?”The boy beside him faced his friend a questioning look on his face. “I'm listening,” he said.Naruto smiled that his friends anger had somewhat dissipated. “I can give you a second chance.” Looking his friend in the eye he wondered if Kiba would give.“Sure,” the dog boy agreed, “but no interruptions.” The blond's smile grew, “No interruptions,” he repeated and ran the rest of the way to class.~~~~~~~~~~~ Sasuke the vampire ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Naruto the lover ~~~~~~~~~~Poor Naruto he never saw it coming, he had Phys. Ed this period. Don't get me wrong Naruto loves playing sports in the gym but I doubt he'll enjoy this:“Line up,” the Gai-sensei's voice boomed across the gym. “We have a transfer student as many of you have already heard. Be nice to the young boy, because he has a spirit as youthful as all my students.” “Yes, Gai-sensei!” the students responded in unison.“Wonderful! We're going to start with stretches so everyone pair up.” Naruto looked to Hinata who had paired with Gaara, and then he looked to Ten-Ten who had paired off with Neji. Things just weren't looking so good for the blond. Naruto's azure eyes traveled along the gym until they fell on a horde of girls.`At least I don't have to pair up with him,' or so he thought.“Sasuke since you seem so unwilling to pair up maybe Naruto will be willing to spread his youthfulness.”Naruto cringed at the sight of the smiling Uchiha, okay mostly at the lust filled eyes the raven was carrying.“Su-sure,” the blond said reluctantly. Making his way over to the depressed girls that had lost their chance to pair up with the raven. Things just weren't looking so good for.“Naru-koi, is something the matter? You seem rather contemplative lately.”`Concern? That's a new one.' “What do you mean teme?” Naruto took his position before his partner so that they could begin their stretching. Interlocking their fingers and bracing their feet together they began to pull one another.“You seem to be lost in thought. Does this mean you've remembered me?” Sasuke pulled the blond so Naruto's arms reached his chest.`What's with him? First he's all sexual addict, and now he's Mr. Nice-and-Caring?'“No not that I can recall.” Naruto thought it best to just go along with him to see where exactly the raven was going. Pulling his hands to his chest Naruto spoke again, “Why were you happy when I called you Sasu, I mean it only came to me because I had a dream about a friend. Or at least I think that's what it was.”Sasuke smiled at the blond when repeated his name. `Maybe he does remember, but maybe it's all subconsciously.' The raven smiled once more and looked up at the blond who seemed to stare off into space once more.“Naruto, we should change positions now.” The raven hinted as Naruto kept his hands braced against his chest. “Oh yeah sorry,” Naruto really wasn't off thinking; he was actually searching for Kyuubi. Usually the intrusive demon would have made an entrance by now.Standing up Naruto kneeled down to touch his toes and Sasuke was pushing his back to lower him. Naruto stayed in that position before two things happened: 1. the fire alarm went off and 2. a crowd of girls came streaming into the gym.Naruto used this well planned distraction to make his way back home.~~~~~~~~~~~ Sasuke the vampire ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Naruto the lover ~~~~~~~~~~Sasuke looked around the crowd and realized the blond was no longer by his side. The distraction had given his blond the perfect chance to get away from him.`Damn,' he thought, `and when things were going so well' If he stayed with his blond a while longer Naruto memory could have fully returned. His aniki was right though: be nice to the prey and they calm down, be mean and they scream.“Sasuke,” a chirpy voice squealed from behind him. “Your so cool,” another join in.“Wonderful,” he sighed, as more girls madet heir way to him.~~~~~~~~~~~ Sasuke the vampire ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Naruto the lover ~~~~~~~~~~Naruto had practically ran a marathon by the time he made it to his little apartment.`Kyuubi,' he called out.`Yes my little demon prince?'`Damn, Kyuubi I thought I told you to stop calling me that. I left my kingdom to have freedom. I am never going back.'`Despite what you say you can not deny your true nature.''I never said I denied it. I am though leaving it behind''You can never leave behind your heritage Kit. Your very lineage is at stake, are you willing to risk all that. The lives you have already killed to stay alive, they will never comeback. The families you have torn, will never be whole again. You are a demon Kit, these are the things that make you so.''I never wanted this, any of this! Your the demon your the one who killed those people. I wanted no part in that bloodshed.''Ah, and yet you still enjoyed it. Watching them struggle for their meager lives as they took their last breath. You live in that moment as do I.''Stop it, I don't want to hear it! I am not! My father placed you inside me so that I would convert, but I can't not after all those lives, not after...''Do you remember Kit, remember what I once took away from you.''You didn't you couldn't, I've never had anything to give. What could you possibly take?!''You naive child. I took the one thing that made you whole. I took your koi, you happiness.''I don't understand. I never once had a koi.''As it should be Kit. As far as you know I am the only one who has your best interests at heart.''Kyuubi please. I don't want to hear it any more. Please no more.''Has it become to much already? Shall I take it away once more? The memory of the pain of death?''No don't. If you do then I can never forgive myself. It is best I atone for those lives by living in the horror of my past actions. I can continue. Since, I lack computer access I can't do both at the same time. I think it's best I start switching from one to another. So I've got chap. 2 of this finished so I'll go on to chapter 5 of my other story. BTW thanks for the reviews and the faves. I'm kinda depressed my vamp fic. got more attention but that's okay.
