Chapter 2:: The Forbiden Scrolls

"You mean Sasuke's missing?!" Yelled a furious Kakashi. He was already out of his bed and in the middle of getting dressed. He bluckled his shoes and pulled his mask up, ready to kill. No one messes with his allies.

Iruka looked at him, slightly disturbed. Nothing this odd had happend in this village, as he thought. It was all very strange. First, there were noises. Like screaching and faint screams. Almost everyone in the area heard it. Then, there were violent noises. It sounded like an explosion, kind of like a granade. But when people left their houses, everything looked calm. It was almost as if an evil spirit had arrived. But just in case, Junin and certain Chunin were sent out in investigation of this. What they had found was a completely trashed, singled out house. This house, was in fact, Sasuke's.

Iruka and a Junin, escourted by the 3rd Hokage, went inside for anything wrong. And when they had found out that a citizen went missing, they paniced. And ofcourse, Iruka had to get Kakashi for this.

"You ready yet?" Asked Iruka, in a tone of annoyance. Kakashi then came out. "You know it." He grined.

A few minutes later, the two showed up at the scene. Iruka walked up to a few bystanders, while Kakashi went on his way to the Hokage. Just then, he stoped. He thought for a short moment on what he should really do. Stand around with all these tabloids? Or actually looking for the kid? It was pretty obvious.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm sorry brother.......I'm...sorry.......A wounded Sasuke went over and over in his mind. He was walking, no, limping very slowly in the middle of the deep, dark forest. The only light was the full moon up above his almost-empty head. He held his left shoulder in, hoping it wouldn't fall out.
It wasn't that long from when his elder brother, Itachi, invaded his house and started rampaging through everything, like a canable. If only he knew what that animal was looking for, then he wouldn't fear another attack.
Sasuke barely got out of there alive. His brother attacked him furiously, obviously havigng something on his mind. Again and again, cut after cut, break after break, people started running through the town to find out what the hell was going on. And ofcourse, Itachi's attention was broken. Just that minute, that very minute, was Sasuke able to leave that fire trap emediately.
He finaly stoped walking and droped helplessly to the hard, yet comforting ground. A sweet combination of fresh grass and rock-hard, cold dirt.
It was never like this ever before. He could just remember the days when he had a beautifly drawn together family. He always looked up to his elder brother, respected his father, and loved his mother. It was great. The attention he got, the wonderful gifts he recieved, the food he ate, everything. It was all thanks to his family. He never even suspected any tension between them, no one did. It all happened so fast, the small, little boy hadn't even a clue.
After that, it was just him. In the cold, hard world. By his little self, No one guiding him. He always thought that he was alone on this, from the very start. But in an extremely ironic way, he actualy did find someone. This ofcourse was Kakashi. He never really noticed it in the beginning, but, over time, he finaly found out that Kakashi grew up in the same way he did. It was all so very odd.
Sasuke layed there, motionless, traped in the thoughts created in his own personal universe called his mind. It got colder than before, and Sasuke just felt even weaker. He thought that this was the end. Lying there, not moving. That's usualy a sign to let you know that you're screwed.
He opened his eyes slowly. He could see the cold air leave his mouth. Tightly, he held his arms together, in a slight feetle position. It was as if his very soul was slowly leaving his body, minute by minute, in a very painful way. And then, at that moment, he realized how pathetic his life really was. It was like, he completely wasted precious, valuble time. And what was really pathetic was the only thing he had on his mind was...Kakashi. This couldn't possibly be his last thought, he didn't want it to be. Why would he want to remember Kakashi in his last moments? Talk about pathetic...
Just then the cold air turned into ice. It was time. One last breath, just one last breath...
"Sasuke!!" A scream of panic and fear came from the trees above. "Kid, are you all right?!"
Sasuke let the rest of his remaining energy help him tilt his head. "Are they calling me already? That was quick..." Ofcourse he thought that he was already dead. Poor, poor Sasuke...
Then he felt a sudden carease. Two, warm hands lifted his head up. Sasuke slowly opened his eyes to see...noneother than Kakashi. "Kakashi..." The man leaned closer into Sasuke to hear his serious, faint words. "...are...you dead too...?"
There was a long, awaited pause. At that moment Kakashi burst into laughter, just like the time when in Naruto's house. This was when Sasuke became very confused.
"You mean, we're...not dead...?" The teenager asked.
"State the obvious." Sarcasticly, and joking wise.
There was another pause between the two, but it was different this time. Vibrations of calmness and releaf were shared from their bodies, and minds. It was extreamly relaxing.
"You made me panic, you. Ya' know, one of these days, if you don't change, I probably won't keep up." He was joking, yet not really. That was the scarry thing. He gave a sigh. "Just stay out of trouble, will ya'?"
Sasuke looked up at him in the face. "Yeah, I'll try." He teased.
"Alright, let's get you to a hospital."
At that Kakashi lifted him up and jumped through the trees on his way back to town.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"You're a lucky one, you know that?" Scolded a slightly ticked off Hokage.

It was he, Sasuke, Kakashi, and two nuses standing in a bedroom the very next morning. It was very quiet, but people were still glaring at eachother, though. You could easily tell there was high tension in that stuffy room. Sasuke leaned over a little more.

"So, can any of you tell me what the Hell happened last night?" Sasuke snarled. Just the thought of his brother disgusted him. There was a silence, which did nothing more than just anticipate the response.

The Hokage caughed, about to speak. "Well, aparently, your brother invaded your home...in search for something." Everyone narrowed their eyes on the old man.

"Even though we don't know for sure what exactly it is, I have ordered a team of my selected Junin to search and guard the premisise." He paused and thought for a moment. "We absolutely cannot allow such a danger thret our village. So, it is extremely necesary for everyone in Leaf Village be caucious at all times." He closed his sharp, darkened eyes.

"Hokage, please mind me asking, but, can you make a guess on exactaly what Itachi wants?" Kakashi butted in.

"Well," Hokage-sama began. "I actually do. And with a 90% acuracy, too."

"Well, what is it, old man?" Everyone turned their heads to the open doorway, to see...Iruka.

"Oh, what a surprise." Hokage-sama stated sarcasticly.

Iruka walked in, with an apple in his hand. "Hey, Sasuke, your welcome." Sasuke looked very confused. Iruka just sighed. "This is my house, you know."

"Oh, really? Um, thank you, I guess..." He looked down. Kind of embarassed, really.

"Well, what is it?" Iruka questioned.

Then the room got quiet. While opening his sharp eyes, the 3rd Hokage spoke. "The Forbiden Scrolls." Confusion was the heaviest thing there. The Hokage's sudden faint laughter cut right through it, though. "You're probably wondering what I am talking about, right? Well, these ancient Scrolls hold a special Jutsu techneque created just for Ninja higher than the Junin status, some even higher than I." Everyone became shocked. Stronger than a Hokage? Imposible.

It was then that everyone knew how serious this really was. How strong Itachi could be, how dangerous the teachings of those scrolls could be, and the life jepoardy everyone is in.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next day, Sasuke was able to leave Iruka's home and be on his own again. Finally. It was about time he got out of there, you couldn't even imagine the amount of rules you had to follow in his own house. It was quite disturbing.
Sasuke walked down the street tward his very own, personal home. He could use a little rest, even though it were day. He got closer and closer to get to his nice, clean, house. Then, he stoped dry in his tracks. He'd just remembere that it had gotten trashed the day before. But, the Hokage would have fixed it by now, right?
Wrong.
He stood directly infront of his house. Two Junin were standing on guard while other people were cleaning up the area. It was a freakin' wreck. This was just great. Where the hell is he supposed to go now?
Knok Knok. "Yes?" Kakashi opened his door.
"Can I stay for the night?" Sasuke looked helpless. He was practicly begging at Kakashi's house.
"You poor, poor thing." He teased. "Come in. Make yourself at home."
"Thank you very much." Sasuke bowed his head to the floor, and quite himiluated for asking of such a favor.
He walked his way inside and looked around. It was a very clean home, everything was simple and neat. The first thing he noticed was the bookshelf full of manga he had. The next was a small, really cute puppy. Well ofcourse, Kakashi does like dogs. And also, the main room. That room was huge. Yeah, Kakashi was lucky.
"Did you bring any clothes? You can borrow some of mine if you need too." Kakashi looked back and asked.
"Oh, um, no thank you, I've brought my own." Sasuke looked down, and even blushed for no reason at all.
"Well, let me set some rules, but there's not really much, so, don't worry." Sasuke remained silent and listened. "First, if you want to take a bath, you have to keep the hot water running for no longer than twenty minutes. Secondly, when you need a drink, go out back and get cold water from the fountain. Next, if you want to train, do it on either the side of the house or behind the yard onto the feild. I recomend the feild." He smiled again. "And last but not least, when ever you see any dogs running around, don't try to bother any of them. They can come and go as they please. And also, don't try to feed them, they pretty much help themselves." Sasukr acknowledged the set of rules and wrothe them down mentaly.
"Alright." The cool and laid-back Kakashi smiled and walked in the next room down the hall. Where is he going? Well, it was quite obvious he was getting comfertable, it is his house after all.
Anyhow, as Sasuke's attitude was, took off his pack and went through his few, only needed things. What he packed was a black T-shirt, a black pair of loose fitting pants, a tooth brush, a nutrition bar, two pairs of socks, and a set of shuriken throwing knives. And also a manga, so he wouldn't be bored the entire time he was there. Just some basic, ordinary things, nothing truly precious. He set his bag aside and sat there on the wooden floor for a few moments. After that he grabed out his manga and fliped to the page he was up too. He was there for about an hour.
"GET BACK HERE!!!!" A scream came from down the thin, dark hallway. Sasuke's attention was emediately caught. He heared quick, hard foot steps of someone running bear-footed on the cold wood floor. He also heard small footsteps as well, like an animal, which was weird.
"Get back here you scrawny little bastard!!" The screams got closer and sudenly, they came out the hallway into the room. It was...Kakashi, in his house clothes (that white T and tan air pants from ch.1), chasing, a dog...?
Oh yeah. It finaly jogged into Sasuke's memory, it was that talking dog that helps their team sometimes. What was his name again?
Kakashi stoped and quickly grabed the helpless dog by the collar. It was then he started hearing them scream. Where they...arguing? You know, only Kakashi, of all people...
Sasuke's mind suddenly trailed off as he noticed something...odd. He analized Kakashi Sensei as he was fighting with the dog. He looked closely...at his...face? It was...It was...FREE?
It was true. Kakashi had his mask off. His mask. This is unbelievable! This was the VERY first time Sasuke had EVER seen Kakashi Sensei like this before. And, if that was surprising enough, he looked at his face closely this time. He was...handsome. His face was hairless, deffinately very youthful features. His skin was pail yet sunkissed, and just for art the sharingan and that scar blended in perfectly.
It was then that Sasuke blushed. Was this...? No, it can' be, he thought. Denial really sucks.
Kakashi and the dog stopped fighting and then looked at Sasuke, who was looking completely down at the floor, standing with bad postiure. Kakashi leaned closer.
"Um, Sasuke?" Silence. "............."
Nothingness filled the room. Then, something was said.
"I'm going to sleep now." Sasuke closed his mouth and laid down on the couch. He was just stared at, cluelessly. "Sasuke...?" Kakashi just sat there, so unbelivebly confused. "But...it's early..." It was useless. Sasuke was just going to lay there all night untill morning.
But ofcourse, they have no idea on what has instore for them the very next day.
To Be Continued.
