Naruto Fan Fiction ❯ Demons In Hiding ❯ Chapter 1

[ X - Adult: No readers under 18. Contains Graphic Adult Themes/Extreme violence. ]
I do not own Naruto, nor do I own the book series that my ideas for the vampires. The book series is Night World by L.J. Smith. I took her ideas for vampires and werewolves, so I’m going to apologize to her, but that’s all that I took. There are slight differences. In her books made vampires can’t have children, in my story, they can.

Ok, why am I starting a new fanfic when there’s another that I’m writing? Simple, I’ve noticed a lack of Naruto stories where the main characters are vampires or something along those lines. I’ve read even fewer with a good plot line, so I’ve decided to see why people have deemed this hard to do.

By the by, the story Of Love and Sacrifices is the only Naruto story with vampire main characters that I’ve liked. You should read it, it’s on www.adultfanfiction.net

P ale hands grabbed tanned wrists and held the owner’s arms above his head as a mouth descended on a tan neck, kissing, nibbling, licking, and sucking the skin beneath it. The boy that was currently shirtless and pressed into a mattress moaned loudly at the sudden actions. Black hair tickled his chest as the black-eyed boy continued his trail down to his left nipple. The blonde moaned as the black-haired boy took the nipple into his mouth, biting softly.

Naruto leaned into the touch, begging for more. The black-haired boy was all to eager to comply. Pulling his head away from the boy’s chest, the black-haired boy blew cold air across the wet nipple. Naruto’s mouth opened in a silent scream, his body felt like some one had lit it on fire.

“Naruto.” The boy above him spoke his name softly as he moved to the other nipple. “If you want me to end my torture, tell me what you want.” He whispered before licking the nipple. Naruto could only moan in response, his brain had turned to mush long ago.

“Naruto, you know what you want. Tell me, and I’ll give it to you.” Naruto moaned again as the boy reached down and rubbed his hand against his still-clothed member. White-hot pleasure spiking through him. The torture was almost unbearable.

“Naruto…” The voice had grown slightly impatient. The boy continued his trail down Naruto’s chest, to his stomach. There, he tortured the sensitive skin just above his boxers. The black-haired boy removed the offending material from Naruto.

Silently, he kissed Naruto’s inner thigh. His hands were now pinching and rubbing the boy’s nipples. He knew that there was no way that Naruto could stand this any longer, and that the boy was soon going to ask him to finish it. “Naruto, tell me what you want.”

That didn’t stop his voice from coming out harsh and scolding. He kissed and touched everywhere but where Naruto wanted him too. The boy was trying to move his hips to get the black-haired boy to touch his aching member, but two strong, pale hands held his hips down as the boy on top of him continued to say his name harshly between kisses on his inner thighs.

Suddenly, the voice was rather harsh and commanding, and didn’t quite make sense. “Naruto! Pay attention!” He ‘was’ paying attention to what the black haired boy was doing.

“Naruto, wake up now or I’ll give you a detention.” His face now held a look of confusion. ‘Detention? What does he mean detention? I’m not in class, am I?’ Sudden realization hit him and he sat bolt upright in his chair.

Yes, Naruto Uzumaki had drifted off to sleep in the middle of Algebra 2 class. Iruka-sensei stood in front of him, arms crossed over his chest, and a rather annoyed expression on his face. “Naruto, why were you asleep?”

Half the class snickered at this and Naruto whipped a thin line of drool off his face. “Um, er, no reason, Iruka. I guess I didn’t get as much sleep last night as I thought I did.” He said in a sheepish voice.

Iruka sighed, but figured that trying to figure out how to do the homework with out an explanation was more of a punishment than a detention and strode back to the front of the class. “Fine, you can figure out the home work by yourself. It’s page 100, questions 1-50, the even problems.” Even, just because the odd problems had their answers in the back of the book.

Naruto inwardly groaned before he opened his book and started on the homework, just like the rest of the class. He looked at the problems and almost had a heart attack. This was hard, and he barely understood yesterday’s stuff! The only reason why he was able to finish his homework at all was because he had begged Sasuke to help him. After promising to clean his house and back yard, Sasuke agreed to helping out Naruto with his home work. It took over two hours to explain it to him, and for him to get it done. Sasuke had then gone over his home work and pointed out all the mistakes he made, which Naruto had fixed just after he told him what was wrong.

Thinking about his best friend and current rival did nothing for his current problem. Oh no, in fact, it made it worse. Lucky for him that this school didn’t require uniforms. His bulgy jacket hid his problem quite nicely, now if only he could get it to go away.

‘Ok, think dead puppies. Think dead Iruka. Um. . . Tsunade-baachan in a bikini. Ok, that did it, mental image, go away!’ His mind screamed the request. Tsunade-sama, or in Naruto’s mind, Tsunade-baachan, is currently the superintendent of Konoha High School. She thought of Naruto as a younger brother, just as Iruka though of him as the son he never had.

Though Tsunade was 50-years-old, she still looked like she was 20 or 30, and no one knew how. Many people though of plastic surgery, but her ability to form expressions proved them wrong. So the current theory is that she was captured by aliens and was experimented on.

Yeah, right. Like that’d ever happen. Though, the theory could be true, since about 25 years ago, Tsunade went missing for a few weeks and came back looking pale. Every one passed it off as a deprivation of nutrients or sunlight.

Well, the mystery soon died out, especially when Tsunade got annoyed at every one for talking about it and forbade any one from saying anything about it. This happened before Iruka was in school, but his teacher’s older brother was in 10th grade when it happened, and he told Iruka everything. Naturally, Iruka told Naruto about it, and so he told his friends, who told their other friends, and so on. Within the night, the entire school knew about Tsunade’s sudden disappearance. Of course, word was spread out side of the school, so there was little that Tsunade could do to stop it. How ever, that didn’t mean that she couldn’t punish the one who started it. Iruka’s next paycheck was short $200 dollars, and Naruto had a 10-day suspension.

Naruto sighed and stared at his book, Sasuke was sitting beside him smirking. They sat in alphabetical order, and since Sasuke’s last name was Uchiha, and Naruto’s last name was Uzumaki, the two of them were sitting beside each other, Sasuke to his left, by the window in the back.

“Sasuke, help me!” Naruto hissed to his friend, but Sasuke just smirked and shook his head. “You’ve yet to re-pay me for helping you out last night. No more help until you clean the house and back yard. Besides, it’s part of your punishment.”

Both boys knew that Naruto would finish cleaning this after noon and ask again. The next time he asked Sasuke would undoubtedly say yes, like he always has, and then they’d spend hours on end trying to get Naruto to under stand the graphs and charts that was their homework.

When the bell rang, Naruto stood up and waited for Sasuke and Sakura at the door. Since first grade the three were friends, though Sasuke and Naruto were closer to each other than to Sakura. Something the girl was oblivious to as her crush on Sasuke made her blind to the fact that she was rated second on his very short list of friends.

Sasuke wasn’t much of a socialite, and the only real reason that him, Sakura, and Naruto were even acquainted was because some kid was picking on Sakura for her forehead. No matter who says what, Sasuke can’t stand it when some one picks on another, having been picked on by his older brother when he was little, and stepped in. Naruto thought that Sakura was cute, and so not to be outdone by Sasuke, he stepped in as well.

Between fighting with each other on who was going to beat up on the bullies and actually beating up the bullies, Naruto and Sasuke became friends, and rivals. Sakura became Naruto’s friend off the bat, but Sasuke was still more reserved. Finally, half way through first grade, Sasuke opened up to Sakura and the two became friends. That was well over ten years ago, now that all three are 16, going on 17, they are much closer friends, and know each other better than in first grade.

Then Sasuke’s fan club sprung up. That was little over 7 years ago, and all the girls are jealous of Naruto and Sakura and see them as a threat to their relationship with Sasuke. So, every chance those girls get, they try to make Naruto and Sakura mess up and make themselves look like fools. Their last attempt had Naruto kissing Sasuke.

Naruto had been talking to Sasuke outside the gates, facing each other, a good foot or two away from the other, when a girl bribed Shikamaru into pushing Naruto into Sasuke. Sasuke, who had started to move towards the ground to pick up his things, was surprised when the blonde’s lips were firmly pressed against him, an apologizing Shikamaru in the background, and laughter that rang through out the schoolyard happened all at once.

Sasuke and Naruto then separated, Sasuke whipping his mouth off on the sleeve of his shirt, and Naruto who was currently trying to throttle Shikamaru. However, much to the fan girl’s deep dismay, Naruto and Sasuke remained close friends. Though, both had a great secrete that the other would, hopefully any ways, never figure out.

Naruto was a seer. All the adults in the town knew, but they were asked not to tell any one else by Naruto’s father. Naruto’s father was considered the town hero. Was, as in the past tense.

About 10 years ago, Naruto’s father was in a terrible car crash. The mangled body was too bloodied up to tell who it was, but the license plate more than adequately explained this. That night, with out Naruto knowing a thing, he had a terrible dream of his father in a car crash. When he woke to hands gently shaking him awake, he started to cry, the other person, Iruka-sensei, all ready knew that Naruto knew exactly what had happened. Glade that he didn’t have to say anything, Iruka-sensei just rocked the boy back to sleep.

What was Iruka doing in the house, you might ask? Well, him and Naruto’s father go way back, and he was baby sitting Naruto for him. So, that explains why Naruto was home and Iruka was with him.

Well, the way that every one of the parents found out was that there was a boy that had gone missing from the town. He couldn’t have been more that 13-years-old, eight years older than Naruto was at the time. Naruto had a scary dream, one where he was all alone in a dark area. He could hear things around him, rushing water, birds chirping, and twigs snapping. Beneath him he could feel an earthy texture, and it felt like worms were crawling all over him.

Being the five year old that he was, Naruto rushed to his father’s room and told him about the dream. Naruto’s mother had been a seer, so his father knew to take this seriously. Quickly picking up the boy, he pushed a pair of shoes and a jacket in his arms and put him down in the back seat of his car. After Naruto had put himself in his booster seat, his father drove them off to the police station.

After relaying the story his son had told him, Naruto being to shaken to say any more, the police nodded grimly. Naruto’s mother was some times called upon during a missing person’s case, so they had some idea as to what was going on. They sent cars out to look for anything suspicious that was near a stream. No more than an hour later the 13-year-old boy was sitting, crying in his mother’s arms.

That boy was Itachi Uchiha, Sasuke Uchiha’s older brother. At the time, Naruto didn’t know this, but his father and the Uchiha’s became good friends. Itachi had thanked him afterwards and the family let Naruto choose any toy in the store that he wanted, regardless of price. Naruto had chosen a remote control T-Rex, and the Uchiha’s gladly paid for it.

At request from Naruto’s father, the police were to put a gag on the media, which didn’t work out all that well. However, only the children’s parents knew this, since none of the children read the newspapers, and as his father requested that none of the children be told. Not even Sasuke knew how or who saved his brother that day.

How ever, not every one viewed Naruto as the savior that the Uchiha’s did. Most of the adults thought of him as a freak, and the rest thought that his dream didn’t tell what had happened, but made it happen. However, after much help from his father, Naruto had managed to worm his way into the hearts of many of the kids at school.

Now for Sasuke, and the rest of the Uchiha’s. His secret is simple, he’s a vampire. No, crosses or any thing holy do not burn him, neither does the sun. There are only two ways to kill him, by decapitating him, or sending a stake through his heart. With Sasuke’s vampirism comes the ability to read other’s minds. He can also implant a suggestion in a person’s mind, overriding that person’s will, or getting rid of a memory that was best left buried, like him feeding on them. Also, not every vampire can read every mind and alter it in any way, it’s not possible.

The marks left by his teeth fade in one night, and he never has to kill. In fact, if he were to kill some one, the vampire council would have his head. It’s illegal to kill any human being, unless it was for protection. So instead of feeding off of one person and killing them, he feeds off of several, taking only what’s safe, erasing their memories, and then moving on to the next person. Also, he would never take blood from some one unwilling. If the person was too scared, or if they didn’t want to give the blood, it would be a ‘very’ painful experience, so he would just erase their memory and replace it with another.

Now, you’re all probably wondering why he can still age, right? Well, he’s a lamia vampire; in other words, he’s born a vampire. There was no exchange of blood, nothing, he was just a vampire. So, if he wanted to age, he could, and he can stop his ageing at any time through a simple, yet complex, process. Complex because of how hard the potion is to brew, simple because the ingredients are easy to find, if not a little strange.

Well, now that that’s all explained, at least until we get to werewolves, on with the story!

So, when Naruto was reunited with his two friends, silently hoping that his hard-on wouldn’t return, they walked down to the cafeteria for lunch. Sasuke never ate much at lunch, a simple doughnut and a carton of vanilla flavored milk, so he went and reserved their seats. Naruto and Sakura would buy him lunch, and he’d pay them back later. Not that he needed to eat it, but it wasn’t like it would kill him to keep up his façade of being human.

When Naruto returned, he sat further from Sasuke than normally, causing questions to race through the black-hair boy’s mind. Naruto handed him his lunch and dug into his own. Mash potatoes, pizza, an apple, a cup of green beans, and a carton of chocolate milk. Sakura’s lunch resembled his own, only she was drinking strawberry milk instead of chocolate. ((I know most schools, especially the small ones, don’t have vanilla or strawberry milk, just plain and chocolate. Well, since my school does, and you can’t get much smaller than my school with out going to home schooling, their school does as well.))

Sakura started a conversation about History and how Kakashi-sensei really needed to hide that book during class instead of reading it while every one did their homework. Sasuke agreed, and Naruto joined in enthusiastically. When they finished their lunch they walked outside, since the students were allowed outside during free time, and they had a study hall next period any ways. The three of them had signed up for the exact same classes, Sakura’s suggestion, and so they had the exact same schedules as each other.

They chose a spot under a giant tree, whose branches reached out. The early fall air was cool, but not so cool that they needed their jackets. Add that to the sun and you had a perfect day. Sasuke normally preferred to stay in the shadows; he always liked cooler places better. Naruto preferred to stay out in the bright sun, sprawled out on the ground. Sakura decided that sitting half way between the shadows and sun was perfect, she could move if one side got too hot or too cold.

Sakura is wearing her normal white T-shirt that looks like it’s made out of a coarse material, but is actually really soft. The T-shirt is ironed and new looking, it’s long enough to tuck loosely into her light pink knee-length skirt. Today she had pulled her pink hair into a loose braid at the nape of her neck; a white and pink butterfly clip was worked into the white ribbon at the end. Her white socks are supposed to be knee-highs, but she pushed them down to her ankles, they showed above her white tennis shoes.

Sasuke is currently wearing a black T-shirt with his family crest sewn on the back. His shirt reaches the top of his dark blue pants and flares out away from his body slightly. His dark blue ankle socks don’t show up above his black tennis shoes. His hair is spiked out in the normal way with the two strands of hair hanging in his face.

Naruto is wearing his usual loud orange jacket and pants, though at the moment his jacket is open, revealing a black T-shirt that shows off a slightly muscled chest and abdomen. His orange and dark blue tennis shoes go well with his outfit. His blonde hair spiked straight up, his three whisker-like marks on either side of his face show up well on his tanned face. They are marks that the adults put on him after his father died. The adults had tattooed the marks on his face rather roughly, and it was a wonder that his skin hadn’t bruised from it. Of course, the adults in question were too drunk to fish and had been arrested for several charges.

The three were currently just content with lying there, not bothering to move, the breeze too comfortable. Suddenly, Sakura stood up and turned to face the two boys. “I’m sorry, I promised Ino that I’d hang with her today. I should go meet her in front of the school.” Sakura then ran to the white stone path and towards the school just before the bell rang.

Naruto tensed, he was along with Sasuke, not a good thing. Sasuke looked over at the dobe, knowing instantly that something was wrong. “Naruto, what’s wrong?” If the boy didn’t tell him, he could all ways reach into his mind and pull the answer out, of course that was really rather rude, and he normally didn’t do that, but this is his best friend. Sasuke wanted to know everything there was about Naruto, since he had always secretly harbored feelings for the boy, feelings that were more than friendship, though he never told any one.

Naruto shrugged. “Nothing really, I just slept a bit wrong last night. My body is still a bit sore.” Sasuke frowned at this; Naruto was always a bad lier. He never needed to read the boy’s mind to know that this time the boy was lying to him.

“Don’t lie, Naruto. You’re such a bad liar, now tell me what’s really wrong.” ‘Or I’ll pull it from your mind.’ He thought as the people from the school exited and were walking as far away from their tree as possible. People might be in love with Sasuke, but that didn’t mean that they wanted to approach him. Oh no, on the contrary, they wanted to observe him from afar, never getting close to him, but not being all that far from him either.

Naruto shook his head. “It’s nothing, don’t worry about it.” He said in his cheerful voice as he looked at Sasuke, moving his arms to fold them behind his head.

Sasuke sighed and looked up at the sky through the trees as he reached his mind out to Naruto. No, the boy wouldn’t feel a thing, or even know what Sasuke was doing. He’s just lay there, unaware of that was going on. Suddenly, Sasuke found a rather interesting scene, one where he and Naruto were tangled on a bed, both naked, kissing the other.

‘So, this is what the idiot was dreaming about in class while Iruka was explaining our homework. This is interesting. Well, at least I know he feels the same way about me that I do him, but that doesn’t change anything. I’m not going to do anything about it.’ No, Sasuke wasn’t the one to use what he found to his advantage. If the blonde dobe wanted to think of him in his dreams like that, let him.

‘Well, maybe I’ll tell him that I like him. Tonight, while he’s cleaning up the back yard. I’ll bring out refreshments and I’ll tell him then. Then, we’ll see his reaction. I wonder what he’ll say.’ Sasuke smirked to himself, still lost in thought.

“Ok, now you’re the one that’s freaking me out. Sasuke, what are you thinking about?” Naruto asked as he turned his gaze from a group of girls that were giggling and pointing at them to his friend.

Sasuke shrugged. “I’m thinking about how amusing it’ll be watching you clean up the house.” Yes, it would be /very/ amusing, as the house was a complete disaster area, well, his room was probably the only thing clean.

Naruto sighed and shook his head. It would be pretty darn strange for him to be cleaning. After all, if you looked at his small apartment, you’d think that the boy didn’t even know the meaning of the word. So, you can imagine him trying to clean some one else’s house would be an adventure and a half.

Sasuke continued to stare up at the sky, lost in thought. “You know, if you want to look at the clouds, it’d be better if you’d come out in the sun light. Then the trees wouldn’t block your view.” Naruto spoke up when he realized that his friend was just looking up at the sky.

So, smirking, Sasuke stood up and walked over to where Naruto lay. He then plopped on the ground, hard enough to make a normal person wince, and layback down on the ground. Neji, who had been watching the two of them closely, decided to intervene. Now, Neji is just like Sasuke, in the sense that he’s a vampire.

As usual, vampires who are lamia, as I remind you are people born vampires, have different color eyes. They can, by whim, change these colors to a ‘normal’ color. The Uchiha’s were born with red eyes that have black dots in them. The Hyuuga’s were born with lavender tinted blank eyes. The Uchiha’s can change their eye colors, but the Hyuuga’s tend to keep their eyes as they would normally, claiming to be wearing colored contacts that were required by all Hyuuga’s to wear.

So, you can imagine the territorial feeling that Sasuke had towards Neji. Both vampires, both top students, and both have crushes on Naruto. Neji put on a smile; ignoring the death glare he got from Sasuke, and stood a little ways away from Naruto.

“Naruto, it’s a nice day, isn’t it?” Neji used a polite voice, just because he was around Sasuke didn’t mean that he was all claws and fangs, fangs being the only thing they both have. He even smiled politely, even though he wanted to rip Sasuke’s head off. That wouldn’t go well in front of Naruto.

Naruto looked up and smiled. “Hi, Neji! Care to join us?” He patted the ground beside him, signaling that Neji should lie down and look at the sky with them, which Neji happily did.

Sasuke, too, wanted to tear the other’s head off for even ‘thinking’ that he could get close to ‘his’ Naruto. “Yeah, Neji, it’s a nice day. Say, why are you out here? I thought that you were taking French 3 this year in this block.” Sasuke’s voice clearly said that he wanted the Hyuuga to leave, however, Naruto, being as dense as ever, didn’t pick up on this hint.

“Our teacher suddenly fell ill and had to go home. Since we couldn’t get a substitute soon enough, we were allowed to go outside. Do you have a problem with that, Uchiha?” His voice was held in very close check, trying not to upset the blonde, even though that seemed impossible to do.

Naruto stayed oblivious to the tension between the two people lying beside him. Though he didn’t let it be known, he was having a ‘very’ hard time keeping himself from running away. This morning he had woken to a dream much like the one he had in Algebra 2 class, only that time Neji was the one on top of him, not Sasuke. It continued, going back and forth between the two. So, you can imagine the troubles he would be having on the inside at the moment.

He never wanted any one to find out that he, Naruto Uzumaki, was gay. Oh no, that would not go over well. ‘Let the bell ring soon. Please! Let that damn bell ring soon!’ He thought desperately, suddenly aware of just how close the two were to him.

Both boys had laid down as close as possible to Naruto without touching him. They had hoped that they could gently move over to the side and eventually touch the blonde. It was strange, since the plan actually worked. Now, the two vampires sandwiched poor Naruto between them gently.

Naruto stood up suddenly and bolted. “I’ve gotta use the rest room!” Was his excuse as he ran off in the complete opposite of the rest room.

Sakura, who was walking back with Ino, Chouji, and Shikamaru, had seen the entire thing. All four of them knew exactly what the Uchiha and Hyuuga were fighting over, or whom the Uchiha and Hyuuga were fighting over. They also knew why Naruto had bolted. Heck, they would too if the two hottest guys in school were laying on their backs beside them, trying like crazy to lay right next to them.

Sakura and Ino giggled, Chouji laughed to himself, and Shikamaru rolled his eyes thinking that it was a waste of time. The four of them walked over to where the Uchiha and Hyuuga were, both sitting up at the moment. Ino and Sakura sat on either side of Sasuke, while Chouji and Shikamaru completed the hexagonal figure, Chouji opposite Ino, Shikamaru opposite Sakura, and Neji opposite Sasuke.

At the moment Ino is wearing a rather bold outfit. Her shirt is cut so that most, if not all, of her stomach and lower back are showing, her large chest making it poof off of her a little bit. The shirt it’s self is yellow and sleeveless, and she’s saved from the rule book because of the black, long sleeved and very tight shirt that she’s gotten on underneath it, which is cut off to show her belly button and the orange flower belly button ring she has in the middle of it. She’s wearing medium orange shorts, they billow out and are made of cotton, that could never pass the dress code since the legs are cut off so that the entire thing is maybe two inches long, and under that is a pair of black leotards, the top was cut off and a band of elastic put in the waist. She’s wearing a pair of extremely high high-heeled-shoes that are yellow and lace up her legs to about half way up her calves.

Her toenails are painted yellow, as are her fingernails. That morning she pulled her hair up into a bun, a yellow piece of cloth over it and the sticks that are stuck through the bun have orange and yellow beads on the ends. Her ears have sunflower earrings in them.

Shikamaru is wearing a black T-shirt with the words ‘I’m with stupid’ written on the front in red letters, his best friend gave him the shirt for his birthday and he figured that he should wear it at least once. His pants is a pair of simple dark blue jeans, nothing to extravagant here. For his shoes he had decided to wear a pair of black tennis shoes with dark blue socks, it was too annoying to get dressed up. His hair is up in its normal ponytail, nothing different about him.

Chouji is wearing a deep green T-shirt with a white spiral symbol on the back. He’s wearing a pair of dark blue jean shorts that reach his knees, and despite him being rather large, are quite baggy. His green socks are meant to reach your knees, but instead he pushed them down around his ankles, and his dark green tennis shoes are laced up with those springy no-tie laces. That morning he made his hair stick up and out; through openings that he put in a cap that he wore to bed to keep his hair this way.

Neji had worn a beige jacket, the sleeves going to his elbows, and a white sleeveless shirt on underneath it. His dark blue shorts have a lot of pockets, so many that people would never guess that he could fill them all, boy were they wrong. If Neji were asked to turn out his pockets, he’d be in a tight situation. In order not to jump his fellow classmates and drain them dry, his blood intake was rather large, he a put blood bags in his jeans. During lunch he’d go outside, behind the bushes, and drink a bag or two. When he got home he’d drink his last bag, and at night he’d go hunting for an hour. That is the price that he pays for a large range of mental abilities, and a far larger mental power.

“So, Neji, what brings you out here? I thought you had French 3 this period.” Sakura asked, remembering Neji and Sasuke silently fighting over the blonde. A few weeks ago, Sasuke had gone to her for blood. He promised not to erase her memory if she didn’t want him to, and she asked him not to. So she, and she alone, knew his, and even Neji and Tsunade’s, secret. She figured that they were the only ones in the school that were vampires, since they were the only ones with white skin, but Sasuke told her that most vampires that were made didn’t have sheet-white skin, that mainly lamia vampires had this color skin. So with that knowledge came the realization that both Neji and Sasuke were territorial, greatly territorial, and that they would both most likely fight for Naruto if need be.

She just hoped that one of them would tell the blonde how he feels so that their rivalry would be ended. That and she knew that Naruto was lonely and desperately wanted some one to love him, since his parents had died when he was so young. His mother died giving birth to him, and his father died when he was 6 during an accident, the latter I’m sure you knew.

“I have a study hall today since our teacher suddenly fell ill, I think she ate some of the tuna sandwiches in the cafeteria. We couldn’t get a substitute soon enough, so we were told to go to study hall. Instead of sitting in the stuffy room all day, I decided to go outside.” Really, that school air was destroying his sensitive nose, and he knew that the same went for Sasuke. They both had to have at least one study hall a day in order for their noses to survive. Sasuke’s was after lunch, and Neji’s was the period after that.

“Oh…” Sakura replied, falling silent. She knew that Sasuke was thinking the same thing as she was. Neji had most likely made the teacher think that she was ill, so that he could come outside and hang out with Naruto, who had yet to return.

Naruto was currently hiding behind the bushes, watching the group. He was far enough away that Sasuke and Neji wouldn’t see him, but he was surprised when Ino, Sakura, Shikamaru, and Chouji showed up.

Thinking it safe, he decided to walk, slowly, over to the group. ‘Man, these 45 minutes sure seem to be taking forever to pass.’ He thought as he managed to reach the group, only to find them talking about their favorite food. ‘Chouji must have started this conversation. Might as well as join in.’ Naruto thought before landing in the spot between Sakura and Chouji, so as not to sit by Sasuke or Neji.

“Well, you all know my favorite food.” He said as he managed to land with out sitting on top of either of the two, which was a great feat as every one was sitting pretty close together. The whole group shifted to the side to let him sit down. “It’s Miso Pork flavored Ramen!” He said in his normally cheerful and overactive tone of voice. Naruto vaguely noticed when Sasuke and Neji both started to glare at Sakura and Chouji, who paid neither of them any mind.

“Yeah, Naruto. You’re a Ramen freak.” Sakura teased, poking him in the side. Naruto moved to evade her, causing him to run into Chouji, who pushed him back. Sakura leapt out of the way, and Naruto landed on Neji. ((I just had to do that!))

Neji was pushed backwards, and Naruto landed on top of him. The poor Hyuuga was going to have a very serious problem here in a second if Naruto didn’t move. The vampire was suddenly aware that Naruto’s legs had landed on either side of him and Naruto’s face was in the crook of his neck.

Naruto sat up, his face extremely red. “Sorry, Neji. I think I’ll kill Chouji and Sakura now.” He then stood up, his blush gone, which was more for landing on some one than landing on one of his two crushes, and took off after the two dead people.

Neji sat back up and pulled the wrinkles in his clothing out. Ino laughed inwardly, and Shikamaru just thought the entire thing was annoying and troublesome. Sasuke, however, was glaring daggers at the Hyuuga.

When Naruto returned you could see a panicking Sakura with extremely messy hair, and Chouji looking for his wallet, which had all his lunch money for the next week in it. Naruto had a pleasant smile on his face and re-took his place, only this time he was sitting beside the Hyuuga and the Uchiha. “Well, that’s taken care of. Mind if we go back to the conversation we were having?” He asked before Ino piped up that she loved cookie dough ice cream and Okonomiyaki*.

When she was finished saying what her favorite foods were, the bell rang and Sasuke, Ino, Shikamaru, and Naruto stood up. “Sorry we’ve got to leave you, Neji, but we’ve got Art class. See you later?” Naruto asked, and at a nod from Neji, him and Sasuke left. Ino and Shikamaru both had advanced math classes, so they had to leave as well.

Sakura was running towards the art room while trying to tame the now wild locks of her hair, and Chouji was still looking for his wallet, ignoring the fact that the bell had rung. He wouldn’t leave until he had his lunch money back.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~
Naruto was currently waiting outside the school gates for Sasuke, he had a student council meeting that he had to attend and, lucky for Naruto, it was over. He just had to wait for the Uchiha to show up, which could take forever since their lockers were on the third floor and the student council meeting was on the other side of the school on the first floor.
When Sasuke finally showed up, Naruto started to yell at him. “Telling me that I had to come out here and wait for you, it started raining half way through your meeting and now I’m soaked!” True to his word, Naruto was drenched to the bone. Sasuke didn’t mind that his blonde dobe was wet, it made him look all the more hot, but he did mind when Naruto started to shiver.
Taking off his jacket, he put it on the blonde’s shoulders and held his umbrella over his friend’s head. “Here, you’ll catch pneumonia if you stand in the rain without an umbrella. Didn’t you look at the weather channel this morning before you left?”
Through chattering teeth Naruto tried his best to elaborate as to why he didn’t have an umbrella. “I couldn’t find the T.V. remote and the buttons are all pushed in so you can’t change the station that way. It was stuck on Cartoon Network, I was watching cartoons last night.” Yeah, he still liked Anime cartoons ((No, he doesn’t watch Naruto, it doesn’t exist in this world.)) so what? They were funny, and he normally needed a spirit lifter.
Sasuke sighed and started to walk, meaning that Naruto followed immediately, the coat warming him up pretty good. How the sunny day had turned so horrible was beyond him. It was most likely because he had to wait outside for an hour for Sasuke to show up.
When they started to walk towards the rich and snobby part of town, Naruto thought that something was up. However, when they stopped in front of a large estate with three large buildings in the middle, connected by walls that went towards a garden in the center. Naruto couldn’t see the garden now, but he was sure that there was an arena in the middle. When he looked beyond the large buildings, he noticed that there were smaller buildings, and the place looked like three feudal lord’s castles pushed together along with their land. Only the other buildings were some where between houses and mansions.
Sasuke opened the gates with a key that he had on a string under his shirt. The walls were about four times his height. Normally, he’d walk around to the back, and he’d jump over the wall there. However, doing that in front of Naruto would undoubtedly raise questions.
“Hey, Sasuke, why is this place so big? Your family can’t possibly be this big.” Naruto said this as soon as he got his mouth to work. Sasuke led him through the gates and to the right of large courtyard; they were heading for one of the rather large houses.
Sasuke sighed, knowing that Naruto would have a hard time remembering everything he said, but that the blonde wouldn’t give up until he had every detail about this place. “Well, there are three families living here. The Uchiha‘s, the Hyuuga’s, and the Shinjiri’s. All three are related by marriage or blood. These houses in the middle of the estate hold the three main families, the purest of the Uchiha, Hyuuga, and Shinjiri blood line. You know one of the Hyuuga’s, Hyuuga Neji. He’s of the branch family, but since his father and mother are dead his father’s twin brother, the head of the Hyuuga main family, took him in.
“The other houses that you see hold the many sections of the branch families of the three houses. This house over here is the one that the Uchiha inhabit, and all the branch family members live in the surrounding areas.
“To get into the house you need a key card that only some one belonging in that family have. If I were to want a friend to come over, I’d have to let them in and out of the house every time. Inside our house are our grandparents, our grandparent’s parents, my parents, and my older brother. We each get a floor to ourselves; I’ve got the second floor. The first floor is the main living area. The rest of the house is empty.
“You’ve only got to clean the second and first floor. My mom will have dinner done in two hours, and then you can clean the outside. I’ll help you with your math after you’re finished cleaning in exchange for buying me free lunch all of next week.” Sasuke had managed to say all of this before they got to the house. Naruto had barely noticed that they were walking at all.
Sasuke opened a panel and slid in his key card. “The reason why I’m not in the branch family is that our family doesn’t follow the same rules as Neji’s does. In our family, the children of the head are the main family, but only the eldest son’s first-born son is the next head of the family. My children will be branch family members, if I have any.” He wasn’t yet going to tell Naruto that he liked him, no, that would come later.
“I’ll let you use some of my clothes after taking a shower to warm up. Then you can set to work. I’ll hang up your outfit to dry.” Naruto may be doing the cleaning, but he was Sasuke’s guest. As such, Sasuke was to take good care of him, meaning that he’d get him something to drink and eat if the blonde got hungry, and hang up any wet clothes.
Naruto nodded his thanks. By now his teeth were chattering too badly to say much. He handed Sasuke’s coat back to him, and he noticed the boy’s red arm. “Sasuke, your arms.” The wind had chilled them so much that they had turned red. ((This happened to me once… It’s rather painful when you get the feeling back in them.))
Sasuke shrugged. “I can’t feel them.” ‘I most likely won’t be able to feel them when they warm up anyway, I’m not able to feel such minor injuries.’ Just because the only thing that can kill him is wood doesn’t mean that that’s the only thing that can hurt him.
“Now then, go get in the shower, close the curtains, and put you clothes by the door. I’ll pick them up to take care of them.” He said as he pushed a rather reluctant blonde boy into the bathroom.
When he entered, Naruto figured that he might as well take a shower to please Sasuke. The boy would get mad at him if he dripped water all over his house. Naruto quickly undressed and put the clothes on the floor by the door. When he turned to look at the bathroom his jaw dropped to the floor.
Marble, crystal, gold, and silver, everything was decorated this way. To the left was a shower area, and in the middle was a bath. The bath looked big enough to hold two or three people at once. ((Which is imperative to later lemons.)) Marble made up the tiles and the four pillars with Greek Gods and Goddesses engraved on them. The tub is made out of what looks like silver, and the tubing looked encased in gold. The handles are made out of silver, and the sink, which looked rather large, followed this pattern exactly. There are several different bottles of different bubble bath sitting on a large shelf that takes up an entire wall. The toilet looks like it’s made of marble as well, the seat of crystal, and the handle of crystal. There are silver and gold curtains covering one of the walls, there must be a wall made of windows on the other side.
Naruto quickly regained his composure and walked over to the elaborate shower area. The theme started with the tub, sink, and toilet was finished here. The curtains, though made of plastic, looked like they were made of polyester, and colored gold and silver.
He got into the shower and let the hot water fall over him. Naruto quickly started to wash away the sweat that had sort of dried to his skin from their last period, gym class. When he was half way through washing off the soap he heard the door open and close, he knew that Sasuke had come and gone. After he washed off the soap he washed his hair. When he was clean, he stood there for a moment, mind blank, looking up at the showerhead, his eyes close. Naruto let the warm water wash over him before he turned the water off.
After wringing most of the water from his hair, which fell around him in a sort of limp manner, it never laid flat; he stepped out and spotted the fuzzy white towel with an outfit sitting on top of it. He dried himself off and slipped into the clothes.
Sasuke had herd the water turn on and waited a few minutes before entering and leaving the clothes. It took most, if not all, of his self control to not jump the blonde in the shower. Instead, he managed to lower his want of the blonde by standing outside the door, listening to the water. When the water stopped, Sasuke stood across the hall, his arms crossed. He had already put the blonde’s clothes in the dryer for them to dry off.
Naruto stepped out of the bathroom and almost ran into Sasuke. He had been planning on waiting at the other side of the hall for the boy. Sasuke had given him a black T-shirt and dark blue baggy jeans. He kept his underwear, since he doubted highly that Sasuke would have any that were unused.
Sasuke started down the hallway. “I’ll get the cleaning supplies out for you. You can have your pick of the cleaners, they all work the same, it’s just their smell that’s different.” Personally, Sasuke couldn’t stand the smell of the cleaners. That’s why he cleaned his own room, and the maid cleaned the rest. She made sure to leave the windows open so that the air could pour into the room.
“Please, open the windows when you’re done, my family has sensitive noses.” Sasuke requested as he opened a closet door. The shelves were covered with cleaning supplies. “There’s only one room, a training room, on the second floor that you have to clean, since I’m not letting you in my room. Also, there’s a bathroom on this floor, a kitchen, and living room. All the other rooms on the two floors open the windows. We need to air them out for a few hours. It’ll stop raining soon. I’ll be in my room if you need anything.” With that, Sasuke left Naruto to clean up the house.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Just before Dinner~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Naruto had finally finished the cleaning. Sasuke’s house was rather large, the rooms were super-sized, and the floors took forever to clean. He walked to Sasuke’s door, which had a rather large ‘Keep Out’ sign nailed to it, and knocked before getting to go ahead to go inside.

His room was twice, if not three times, larger than his own. A king sized bed with black curtains for a canopy sat in the middle of the room. On the far wall, with the bed facing it, is a wall covered in windows. True to Sasuke’s word, the rain had stopped shortly after he had finished the dishes. Now you could see the sun starting to set. Black and red satin curtain hung to the side of the windows, meaning that Sasuke wanted to see the sun set. A dark brown desk stood to the left, the latest computer sat on top of it, Sasuke was currently winning a game of Mine Sweeper. To his right is the biggest plasma screen T.V., a large comfortable looking couch sat in front of it. The couch is black, to match the color scheme of black and red that the walls and carpet set. Black curtains hung from the ceiling at regular intervals, they reached just above his head.

“I haven’t seen your mom yet, Sasuke. Are you sure that she’s cooking dinner?” Naruto asked as the boy finished the game and shut off his computer.

Sasuke leads Naruto to the couch and sits him down. Naruto’s whole body hurt, and was extremely grateful when Sasuke pushes a cup of water into his hands. “I think you earned the trouble you caused. Instead of cleaning the back yard, how about I show you around? Also, yes, my mom is making dinner. Don’t worry about it.”

Naruto nodded, ignoring the caring, soft voice that Sasuke used, and practically inhaled the water that Sasuke had handed him. Sasuke sat down on the couch beside Naruto and sat a little ways away from him. “It’d be nice if you showed me the back yard, but why would you want to show me the back yard?”
Sasuke managed a shrug before his door opened and his mom showed up. Naruto turned around, and the large metal spoon that she was holding clanged to the floor. “Naruto!” She gasped before rushing in and giving him a big bear hug. “It’s been too long. How are you?”

It took Naruto all of five seconds to register and figure out what was going on. “I’ve been good, how have you been?” Yep, he still remembered this girl.

“Sasuke, you didn’t tell me that your friend was Naruto. He’s an old friend. I haven’t seen him for 12 years, at the least.” She said once she had let Naruto go, letting the poor boy breath.

“You never asked.” He replied as he put Naruto’s glass down on the floor by his feet. “How do you know Naruto?”

“Remember how Itachi got lost?” At the nod from Sasuke, she continued on. “Naruto was in the search party. It turns out that some people kidnapped him. When Naruto took a small break from walking around, he sat on the ground next to the cell that they had kept him in. Itachi herd Naruto moving and yelled for him to get his attention. Naruto looked over and saw a piece of wood sticking up from the ground and pulled it away, after a lot of hard work as the piece of wood was attached to a door twice his size. The rest you know.” She told Sasuke the same story she told every one else who had asked.

Sasuke nodded and his mother gasped. “Sorry, I forgot to tell you that dinner is ready.” She had put her hand in front of her mouth, and Naruto laughed on the inside. He had always liked this woman, never knew her name, but liked her non-the-less.

‘If Sasuke asked me to make dinner and go through all this trouble, then Naruto definitely doesn’t know our secrete. He’d just have asked me to make dinner for Naruto if the boy did. I wonder what’s going through my son’s mind.’ She thought as she bit her lip in worry, her back turned to the boys, walking back to the kitchen in order to put dinner on the table. Sasuke’s dad and his brother weren’t happy about the charade that they had to go through, but if Sasuke asked them to do this, then he must have a reason.

Yes, vampires can eat food, but their systems break it down into nothing and they absorb everything, no waste is left from it. Also, the food holds no value to them, so it was basically useless for them to eat anything other than blood.

Sasuke was about to walk in, but his mother’s hand on his shoulder stopped him. “Naruto, you go on ahead, I’d like to talk to Sasuke for a second.” Naruto nodded and entered the room, where he was greeted with the same shocked look that Sasuke’s mother had. Itachi smiled and pointed to the seat beside the one that Sasuke would sit in, and Sasuke’s dad shook his hand. They would wait for Sasuke and his mother to show up before starting on the dinner. The entire time they talked about how life was treating them and Naruto.

Both Sasuke’s brother and father looked no older than 20, but Naruto didn’t pay any attention to it, as Sasuke’s mother looked the same as he had last seen her. Sasuke’s dad was wearing a suite, as was Itachi. It was obvious that they had just gotten back from work as they run a company that deals with microchips and any electronic device.

“Sasuke, what was the reason for this dinner? Why didn’t you tell Naruto what you are, what we are? I’m sure he’d understand, he’s a very nice boy, and a good friend.” They didn’t generally tell those that they loved that they were vampires until after they were married, so Sasuke hadn’t told Naruto, in hopes that the blonde would never have to learn their dark secret.

“Simple, mom.” Sasuke braced himself for what was to come. His mother would completely reject him, or love the idea so much that she squealed. Both were bad to have happen. “I love him, more than anything in the world.”

His mother blinked once, then pulled him into a tight hug and let out a high pitch squeal of joy. “Sasuke! I’m so happy for you!” Oh, at the moment Sasuke was both cursing and thanking the fact that he was a vampire. He wouldn’t have survived that hug had not been a vampire, but he would still be able to hear if he wasn’t.

“Glad you approve, mom.” He muttered as he tried to stop the ringing in his head.
“Oh, I’m so sorry, Sasuke! I didn’t mean to be so loud. You’re ears are probably killing you.” Yes, his mom was turned at age 20, that was over 20 years ago, and she still wasn’t used to being a vampire, though she had eternity to do so. She patted his head and sent the mental message to her husband and Itachi before she walked into the room.

When she walked in, Sasuke behind her, she saw a brief look of shock run across their faces before a smile crossed their lips. Sasuke sat down and received a nod from both his father and brother, knowing that his mom had told them in that brief instant what had happened. He could also tell that his father and brother’s ears were ringing from his mom, Naruto had, apparently, been unable to hear her squeal of joy and surprise.

A flash of guilt suddenly went through Sasuke. If Naruto loved him, and if they got together, then he’d have to turn the blonde into a vampire. The same went for if Naruto choose Neji over him. He didn’t know if either of them could do that to Naruto.

When the food was passed out, every one said ‘Itadakimasu’ and started to eat.

*So, Sasuke, when are you going to tell him?* Itachi asked, the family had opened up a telepathic port and was talking to each other, only Naruto didn’t know what was being said, but he was busy eating.

*Tonight, I’ll tell him then. As for turning him, that all depends on his decision.* Sasuke replied as he took a bite of the food, hating the way he couldn’t taste much of it.

*You know, Neji likes Naruto as well. You’d better hope that he doesn’t get in the way. Also, I’d wait a few months, about 6, before I turned him. If your relation ship goes well, then turn him, if not, then dump him. Simple as that.* Itachi replied. He was the one with the most experience with failed relationships, so he was the one that was talking to Sasuke right now.

*Son, I hope it goes well.* His father said, his mental voice booming in their heads like always. He then left the mental conversation to continue the one he was having with Naruto. Sasuke’s mother gave him a worried look.

*Neji, you mean the only male Hyuuga from the Hyuuga clan?* His mother asked him, only to receive a nod. Sasuke was nodding to his mother and something Naruto had directed at him, he wasn’t paying much attention.

When Naruto finished, Sasuke stood up and grabbed his plate. *I’m going to the backyard, the rose garden. Keep Neji away from there if you can. If he sees me alone with Naruto, he’ll try to keep me from telling him.* He directed this at his brother, who nodded, hoping that unlike himself, Sasuke found true love. No, the Hyuuga’s and the Uchiha’s weren’t enemies, but they weren’t on the best of terms either.

Sasuke then picked up Naruto’s plate and walked over to the trashcan, dumping the chicken bones into the trashcan before putting the dishes into the sink. “Follow me, Naruto. I want to show you something.” He noticed that his parents nodded and looked back to their plates to pretend to continue to eat.

Naruto stood up and followed his friend out the room, calling over his shoulder before he left. “Bye! It was nice meeting you guys again!” He waved before Sasuke got annoyed at his dawdling and pulled on his collar, making Naruto lose his balance and have to follow his friend out to the back yard. When the left the house they moved to the center of the estate, the main family gardens that only main family members could get into. The wall around it made sure of that.

Sasuke pushed his key card that he used to get into the house into the slot and the door opened. The Uchiha pulled Naruto into the garden, holding his hand, and causing the slightly younger teen to blush. “Um, uh, Sasuke, your hand…” He mumbled, Sasuke pretended not to hear him.

Sasuke pulled him into the rose garden, and all of Naruto’s uneasiness disappeared. He may be a guy, but that didn’t mean that he couldn’t appreciate beauty, which was what these roses were exactly.

Each rose bush was cut perfectly, not a thorn out of place, and the roses had the exact same pattern, and the same amount of leaves. Nothing was out of place. The roses went from black, how they got that color was beyond him, to red, to pink, to white. After the color white, they went from the lightest of yellow to the deepest of purple. Naruto had no idea how they managed to get all these different colors, but nothing so far about the Uchiha’s or their estate made much sense, so he shrugged it off.

Sasuke smirked and led Naruto to the middle of the garden. There, a pond with a bench in the middle sat. Several small fountains surrounded it, and the pathway to the bench was so small, and the water covered it some, that you couldn’t see it unless you knew it was there. In the pond were several flowers that only came out when the moon shone on them. Above the pond was a metal structure that looked a lot like a glass dome, without the glass. Instead, different kinds of ivy, and even some flowers that creeped up structures, were weaved around the metal bars.

Sasuke sat Naruto down on a bench. Naruto almost panicked when he realized that there was no visible way out of the circle of vines, almost being the key word. He knew that Sasuke wouldn’t keep him here for forever.

“Naruto, I want to tell you something.” He said as he sat down next to the blonde teen, pulling Naruto’s hand onto his lap so that the teen couldn’t bolt. Sasuke knew that a lot of humans felt that being alone with him in an isolated place was a bit scary, or their instincts knew it, even if they didn’t. “I like you, Naruto.”

Naruto almost laughed at how serious Sasuke was being. “Of course you like me, silly. If you didn’t, then you wouldn’t be my friend.”

Sasuke almost hit Naruto right then and there for being so dense. Instead, the vampire decided to elaborate a little bit more. “That’s not what I meant. I mean that I love you, Naruto. More than anything in the world.”

*Okonomiyaki is Japanese pizza.

I left you with a cliffhanger. I know, I’m so cruel. Oh well, I guess that means that you’ll have to wait to read Naruto’s response to Sasuke’s statement. Be luck that I gave you this much, I was thinking of stopping the chapter where Sasuke’s mom walked into Sasuke’s room and dropped the spoon.
