“Naruto, I have something to tell you.” Neji was nervous on the inside, he didn’t want to say this, but he knew it was the right thing to do. “I’m going to give up on you. Sasuke, he’s known you for far longer than I have, and he deserves to be your boyfriend more that I do. He’s been able to comfort you when you’ve been sad and lost, and he was there for you when you cried about your parent’s death. He deserves you more than I.”
Yes, Neji was extremely sad about this, but he knew that it couldn’t be helped. What he said was true, Sasuke did know more about Naruto than he did. When he looked at Sasuke and Naruto, up to this point he’d been looking at the ground, he saw surprise and shock on their faces.
“Are you sure, Neji?” Naruto asked, as if hoping that his decision was made for him. When he received a nod, he smiled a very bright smile. “Thanks, Neji. I was having troubles deciding who I loved more.” He patted the Hyuuga on the back.
“However.” Neji turned to face Sasuke. “If I /ever/ find out that you have be unfaithful, or have hurt Naruto in any way, shape, or form, you’ll die a very painful death.” Neji threatened, his voice sounding extremely menacing.
Sasuke smiled slightly and nodded. “I don’t plan on hurting Naruto in any way, ever.” He said in a rather convincing voice.
“Well, Naruto, I’ve got to get going, it’s getting late. You and your boyfriend should finish up on your homework, if at all possible.” Neji waved as he turned. “I’ll see myself out.”
Yes, he was smiling, but on the inside it felt like some one had just stabbed him. So what if it was his decision? It still hurt to be giving up the one he loved to another. However, that was life, and he more than confident that he’d find some one else to fall in love with. After all, they were still young and they and plenty of time to find some one to love. Neji had forever, and he’d take full advantage of that time.
“Well, Sasuke, help, please!” Naruto held up his math book, hoping that Sasuke would just start on the lesson for the last two days. However, he was more than a little scared when the Uchiha looked at him with a rather, scary, smile.
“Not yet, Naruto. I want a kiss.” That was all the warning that Naruto received before Sasuke’s lips were pushed up against his. The Uchiha wasted no time at all with this kiss. His right hand was woven into blonde locks, and his left arm was wrapped around Naruto’s waist.
Naruto, slightly taken off guard by the kiss, ended up gasping, which Sasuke also took advantage of. As soon as Naruto’s mouth was open, Sasuke pushed his tongue into his mouth. Naruto’s mind soon became clouded, and it was hard to breath, but with Sasuke’s tongue tracing every bit of his mouth it was rather hard to pull away.
When Naruto thought that he’d die if he didn’t get air, Sasuke let go and smiled. “Now, shall we get to that homework?” He laughed at the confused look on Naruto’s face as he dragged the still dazed blonde over to the couch and made him sit down next to him.
The next hour was spent teaching Naruto how to do the math problems. Sasuke had way better luck than Sakura and Neji, and it showed when Naruto was able to do his History, Grammar, and Science homework in another three hours.
By this time, it was extremely late, so when they finally finished all the homework, Naruto and Sasuke were both tired, physically and mentally. However, Sasuke knew that he could make it home, so he started to walk towards the door. Naruto didn’t want Sasuke out side this late at night, so he followed him.
“Sasuke, where do you think you’re going? It’s too late for you to be walking around outside. You’ll get attacked or something.” Concern laced his voice as Naruto looked at his new boyfriend.
Sasuke smiled in a reassuring way and shook his head. “I’ll be fine, Naruto. I can make it home safely. I’ll see you tomorrow.” Then, almost as if it were an after thought, Sasuke walked up to Naruto and gave him a peck on the cheek, a short good night kiss.
Naruto blushed lightly and looked away. “Um, if you say so…” He mumbled under his breath, causing Sasuke to laugh, thinking that his blonde was the cutest thing on the planet.
“I’ll see you tomorrow, Naruto. Have sweet dreams.” He then walked out the door, his hand up in the air as a signal that he was leaving. He didn’t give Naruto to protest or say anything.
When Naruto finally moved, it was a few minutes after Sasuke had left. He wondered why his boyfriend had left so abruptly. Come to think of it, Sasuke looked a little paler than he had before. Even though the boy’s skin was always really pale, he looked almost white when he left. Not a healthy white either; it was more of a sickly white.
Feeling worried that Sasuke might be getting sick, Naruto headed for bed, promising himself that he’d wake up early and take a shower then. He changed into flannel pajamas and opened the window. The cool air rushed in and Naruto sighed in contentment, he always loved the night air and the way it smelled. He then let the curtains around his bed loose, and they closed up around him.
Naruto was now in his own little world. The moonlight shined in through the window, causing an eerie, ethereal, blue light to enter his room. When the light mixed with his curtains on his bed a dark orange covered him. Mix that with the crisp, cool, and fresh night air and Naruto was in heaven. He laid back on his bed, pulling the covers up over him, covering his shoulders
Naruto fell asleep almost instantly. The last thought going through his mind was, ‘Will Sasuke be alright?’ and after that, nothing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~
Sasuke had felt the effects of his hunger sometime after they had finished up with most of Naruto’s homework, and he knew that they had to finish quickly. He really didn’t want to attack Naruto, and then run the risk of him being unable to erase that memory. That and 1) it wasn’t right, 2) he didn’t want to hurt his boyfriend, and 3) either Iruka or Kakashi would disembowel him and strangle him with his own large intestine.
So when he left, he was really happy that he was away from Naruto. Sasuke ran as quickly as possible to Sakura’s house. She had told him that if he couldn’t get home on time that he was to go to her. He could take a reasonable amount of blood from the girl since he found that she was able to produce blood a little quicker than most humans. Why? He didn’t know, but it came in handy.
Sasuke went to the wooden post fence in the back and climbed up and over it, being careful not to make any sound. He could see Sakura’s window from here and he knew that she was up studying. She most likely had her headphones on, blasting some sort of song he had never heard before. Last time she was listening to a song by Chronic Future, he barely recalled the song name, Time and Time Again.
So, instead of throwing a pebble at the window like he would normally, he walked up to the guide for the vines, it reached the top of the house and was almost covered with those leafy plants. He then started to climb. It was easy for him, his fingers found the next spot easily, and his inhuman strength enabled him to climb fast.
When he got up to the second floor, he looked into the room. Sure enough, Sakura was across the room, studying. Her MP3 player had her head phones plugged into it and he could hear the music playing from here. The same song as last time.
Sasuke opened the window, it was that kind where you could lift it up with out any unlatching, unless it was locked, and walked into the room. He moved silently over to Sakura and put his hand over her mouth.
Sakura let out a startled scream, and she turned around, her pen ready to be used as a weapon. When she noticed it was Sasuke, she sighed in relief and stopped her MP3 player. “Sasuke, you scared the living daylights out of me!” She exclaimed as she put her headphones on the table.
“Yes, well, if I had knocked you wouldn’t have heard me. I know you, your ears are going to be in ruins by the time you’re 20.” He said in a half laughing voice.
“Ha ha. Well, I know what you’re here for. I can tell just by looking at your skin. You look sick, and you should have gotten here sooner. How much over-due are you?” She asked as she offered her wrist to him.
“About two hours. I’ve been helping Naruto with his homework. It took an hour for each subject, but at least I was having better luck than Neji.” He then walked over to Sakura. “Now, I know you know this, but I feel obligated ((Big word ^.^)) to tell you. This will sting momentarily.”
((Now, if you don’t like blood, skip the text until you see another OOC part…))
Sasuke’s canines lengthened as he got closer. They were not deadly sharp, and indented his lower lip slightly. He saw Sakura nod and he grabbed her arm.
Careful not to puncture the vein too much, for fear of ruining her vein, he bit shallowly into her arm. Blood welled up immediately after and he put his parted lips over the injury. Her wrist wouldn’t stop bleeding until he applied pressure to the inside of her arm, just before the injury, and used his saliva to heal up the wound.
Sakura had winced slightly at first, but then she ignored the slight stinging. When Sasuke’s mouth descended on her wrist, those soft lips made her forget about the pain. She noticed that as he drank her blood, his skin slowly returned back to its normal color.
Finally, Sasuke put his thumb to her arm and applied pressure to the vein, slowing the blood flow. He licked the wound once, making sure that his saliva entered it, and kept his mouth over it for a few more seconds, making sure that the remaining blood was gone.
He raised his head again and licked the rest of the blood off from around his mouth. His canine teeth retracted and he looked at Sakura. ((You’re good!)) “Are you ok? I didn’t take too much, did I?”
She shook her head. “I’ll be fine, a bit woozy, but some rest, green veggies, and a day off from school tomorrow and I’ll be back to normal! Now then, who got him? You, or Neji?”
Sasuke blushed slightly. “I did. Neji said that I knew Naruto longer than he did, and that I know him better, so he gave up. Though, he did threaten me. He said he’ll kill me in the most painful way imaginable.”
Sakura still couldn’t get over the fact that Sasuke, Neji, and Naruto were all three gay. The best looking boys in school, though Sasuke still ranked number one, and they were gay. Oh well, she’d just get some one else. Maybe Lee would do.
She smiled and clapped him on the back. “Way to go Sasuke! You got him in the end. Ino probably won’t be too happy about this, though…” She said the last as if it were an after thought.
Sasuke winced at the mention of the girl’s name. She was one of the worst people when it came to his fan club. By far the most adamant member, she refused to believe that Sasuke didn’t like her. That one-day when they were sitting in a circle was the only day that she was civil around him.
“So, do you plan on turning him?” Sakura’s tone of voice suddenly got really serious. She didn’t want any harm to come to Naruto, but she knew what Sasuke had to do if their relationship got that far.
Sasuke tensed up visibly. “I don’t want to, trust you me, but if I have to, I will.” Basic words for saying, ‘I’m most likely going to do so because my family would make me any way.’ Sasuke just hoped that he could inform Naruto before their first blood exchange, and let him decide before he had to decide for him.
Sakura nodded, but then smiled. “Well, if any one, I’d bet that you’d be the best person to make Naruto happy. Also, Naruto would be best to make you happy. I don’t think that there could be a better pair.”
Ok, Sasuke just had to say this. “Except you and Lee.” Lee had been chasing after Sakura for quite some time now, and no matter how many times he was shot down, he kept on asking. Eventually Sakura would say ‘yes’ just to get him to quit asking her. Of course, this got Sakura instantly mad.
“Sasuke Uchiha, you take that back!” The pink haired girl yelled as loud as she dared to at her friend. She just received a smirk and a shake of the head before Sasuke did a back flip, flying out the window. As he left the window he turned so he could face her and waved, falling backwards.
No matter how many times the Uchiha did this, Sakura’s heart would beat 200 miles an hour and she’d rush to the window, only to see Sasuke running away into the darkness. She sighed in relief when she saw that her dark haired friend was all right. Really, if he died in her back yard, there’d be a lot of questions!
Sakura sighed and decided that she, most likely, wouldn’t be able to get any more studying done, and if she did, that it would be a miracle. So, she turned off the light by her doorway, and then she turned on a lamp in the corner. After closing her shades she changed into a nightgown and crawled under the covers.
Sakura mentally cheered as the former crush of her life had gotten whom he loved. She knew that Naruto would make Sasuke very happy. There was no real doubt about it. Sakura just hoped that Sasuke could make Naruto happy.
Sighing, she rolled over, blocking her thoughts from her mind. She finally was able to fall asleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~
Naruto had fallen asleep shortly after Sasuke left. Now, he wish he hadn’t. He was having one of those dreams again.
Some one, he didn’t know who, was leading him somewhere. He couldn’t see anything, not because he had his eyes closed, or because he had something in front of his eyes, but because he was never allowed to see anything in these dreams. However, he could hear rushing water, and he could smell something familiar.
Suddenly, he was stopped, and turned to face that one person. For a brief moment, fangs flashed in front of his eyes. Taken aback by the sudden image, he stood still, and the person had the chance to twist his head to the side and, what felt like, bite him on his neck. Pain flooded him, and he tried to get free. However, the awesome strength of the one attacking him held him in place as he struggled.
When he felt like he was going to pass out, something was pressed to his mouth, his nose was plugged, and he was forced to drink whatever it was that was pouring into his mouth. Naruto then woke up screaming.
Iruka and Kakashi, who had been asleep, rushed into the room as soon as they heard the scream. Naruto sat on the bed, the covers were tangled around him, and he felt somewhat numb. Iruka and Kakashi could see the sweat on his face as the poor blonde panted from the terror of the dream.
“Naruto, are you ok?” Iruka asked as he walked up to the boy and put a hand on his shoulder. Naruto immediately flinched away, but after seeing who it was, tears sprang to his eyes.
“Iruka, I, I had another dream. It was horrible!” Kakashi sat down next to Iruka on the bed.
“Someone, I don’t know who, but I must have trusted them, dragged me off somewhere that I’d been before. Then, I saw a flash of fangs, really long fangs, and then pain. It was like some one had bitten me. Next, they forced me to drink something. Then, I woke up.” The tears that pricked at his eyes started to silently flow down his face. “It was horrible!”
Iruka gathered Naruto up and hugged him tightly. He gave a pointed look at Kakashi and the silver haired teacher nodded. They knew that Naruto would most likely stay human; there was no way that he’d become a vampire after that dream. Iruka’s mind was put to ease.
“Naruto, it’s ok. Shhh…” Iruka said in a soft voice. “If that dream is a prophecy, which I’m not saying it is.” Naruto had tensed at the mention of the word ‘prophecy’. “Then you can change it, right?”
Naruto didn’t answer at first, but his sobs had turned to hiccups and he had stopped shaking so badly. He didn’t know who that person was, but it was scary! “Y-yeah.” He hiccupped again and Iruka laughed, ruffling Naruto’s hair with his hand.
“Now, do you want to sleep with us tonight?” Kakashi sent him a warning glance, but to the silver haired man’s relief Naruto shook his head. “Are you sure?” Naruto nodded.
“Alright, Naruto, I’ll see you in the morning. Get some sleep.” Iruka let Naruto detach himself from his body before he stood up and tucked the boy in; Kakashi had stood up with him.
“Night, Iruka, Kakashi.” He mumbled before falling asleep; tear stains still on his face.
Iruka smiled warmly at him and he and Kakashi left. “I can’t believe you offered to let him sleep with us!” Kakashi whine, he really wanted to cuddle with his dolphin, but couldn’t do that with Naruto there. The boy may be conscious of their relationship, but they needn’t scar him for life.
“Just stay quiet. I’m glad you let me handle that, you would have made it worse.” Iruka huffed as he walked back to their room. “Or else I’ll make you sleep on the couch tonight.”
The threat never failed to work. Kakashi sighed and followed after his dolphin. “Alright, I’ll stay quiet.” ((For all of you wishing for KakaIru goodness, you’ll have to wait till the next time. I’m not having them hump like rabid bunnies with Naruto there!))
Kakashi and Iruka both got back under the blankets and Iruka felt himself being pulled into Kakashi’s embrace. The both fell asleep at almost the same time, Kakashi just a little behind Iruka.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~
Naruto woke to his alarm clock, which he didn’t remember setting, and stretched. “Looks like I’m going to be on time for once…” He mumbled, as he got dressed. Naruto decided to wear a pair of light blue jeans and an orange t-shirt. He wouldn’t wear anything fancy today, he was sure the others wouldn’t as well, well, maybe Ino would.
He rushed to the kitchen to see Iruka and Kakashi already up. Iruka was currently making breakfast, pancakes from the smell, and Kakashi was sipping coffee, looking extremely tired.
“Um, sorry about last night. Uh…” He trailed of as Iruka and Kakashi both looked at him.
“No need to worry about it, Naruto.” Kakashi mumbled, going back to his coffee. “Yeah, Naruto. It was one of your dreams, you couldn’t stop it or decided when to have it, now, could you?”
Naruto smiled and sat down at the table. “What are you making, Iruka?” Naruto asked as he poked at the table some.
“Blue berry pancakes and banana pancakes. Which do you want?” He asked as he started to mix up some more batter. Iruka hadn’t planned on Naruto going to school first thing, or wanting what he was cooking. Normally he’d eat Ramen instead of normal breakfast food, or grab a piece of toast on his way out.
“Banana, if you’ve got strawberry syrup.” He said in his too-cheerful-for-morning voice. Naruto heard Kakashi sigh and he looked up from the spot on the table he was staring at.
“Naruto, keep your tone down, its morning, and I’m going to end up getting a head ach.” Kakashi complained as Naruto frowned. “Fine, Kakashi-sensei.”
Iruka then walked over to the table with a giant plate covered in blueberry and banana pancakes. “Dig in.” He said and watched as Naruto grabbed five or so pancakes at once off the plate and smothered them in the strawberry syrup that was already on the table.
Breakfast was eaten in peace and quite, and Naruto rushed to his room to get his backpack full of his homework that he had some how managed to do. Man, Sasuke was a miracle worker. He managed to teach every thing to Naruto that they had learned while the boy was out. Maybe Naruto should quite school and have Sasuke home school him. This thought had crossed Naruto’s mind several times.
When he was finally done with packing his backpack up, he ran out of the house and towards the school. Iruka and Kakashi lived near the school, so Naruto didn’t need to worry about being late, but still, his teachers had left a while ago, so he had to be a little bit faster, right?
While halfway to the school and familiar person decided to show up next to him. Sakura lived on the same street as Kakashi and Iruka, so she walked to school a little later than normal.
“Hey, Naruto! I hear from Sasuke that you’re going out with him. Is that true?” She asked and Naruto’s face brightened.
“I, um, well, I, uh, um….” He floundered for words while pointing in several directions at once. Sakura just smiled a knowing smile.
“Oh, Naruto, I know that you’re going out with him. I just wanted to ask you to see how you’d react. I heard that you weren’t at school because you were afraid of facing Sasuke and Neji. Man, Naruto, you’re a wimp. Did you know that?” Sakura teased him while poking him in the stomach.
“Sakuraaaaa!” He said in a whining voice. “You’re not me, so how can you say such cruel things? I was confused. I could barely think, as it is, what do you think I would have done if a teacher called on me in the middle of class? I wouldn’t have been able to answer any of their questions.” Naruto groaned, knowing that his lack of sleep last night would get to him later on.
Sakura giggled and noticed that they reached the school. “You’d better wait for Sasuke. He’d like to see you this morning. Maybe get in a kiss?” She laughed as she ran away from a raging Naruto.
Almost as soon as she disappeared, Sasuke materialized behind Naruto, placing a hand on his shoulder. “Hey, Naruto. What are you up to this morning?” Only Naruto knew that Sasuke putting his hand on his shoulder was a way for the Uchiha to touch Naruto.
“Nothing much, Sasuke. What about you?” He asked in his hyper voice, anger gone.
“Oh, I’m looking for my boyfriend.” He grinned before leaning down and kissing Naruto on the mouth in front of every one that was out of the grounds. Everything was silent while Sasuke kissed Naruto and pulled away from a slightly surprised and confused blonde boy.
“Sasuke, that’s no fair!” Called one of the girls from the crowds. “Yeah, I’ve been giving you chocolate every year on Valentines Day and you choose him over us? Naruto’s a boy!” The crowd of angry girls just got bigger, each girl stating their annoyance at the situation.
Sasuke just shrugged, grabbed Naruto’s hand, and tugged him into the school to their lockers. When they reached their lockers Naruto was a bright red color, people were staring at them, and Sasuke was glaring at every one around them. “Sasuke, why’d you do that?” Naruto mumbled as he pushed his afternoon class books into his locker.
“I love you, Naruto. Why else would I kiss you?” Sasuke asked as he pulled out his next period class textbook. He closed his locker and looked at a teary-eyed blonde.
“Sasuke! Now every one is going to hate me!” More than they do! He didn’t add that last bit since Sasuke already knew that he was thinking it.
Sasuke smiled a warm smile and put an arm around Naruto’s shoulder, steering the boy to his next class. “It’s alright, Naruto. I promise. If any one gives you any trouble today, tell me. I’ll make sure to kick their asses.” Naruto nodded and rested his head on Sasuke’s shoulder.
Naruto could tell that it would be a long day.
Ok, um… Sorry for the shortness of this chapter. I’m tired, I’ve got a slight case of writer’s block, and my will to do much more than sleep is slipping away…
To my reviewers:
I’m super happy that you’ve reviewed, and so, I’m going to try to comment on your reviews!
Tress: Thanks; I’m trying to fix all of the bugs. Also, thanks for being a fan!
Kikilo Lea: Thanks; I hope you continue to read. I feel honored that you’ve changed your mind about vampire fanfics because of my story. Thanks for being a fan!
DragonKeeperMihiru: I made it SasuNaru because I adore those two together. I know, I’m cruel; my parents still have yet to figure that out. Well, I’m not trying to be cruel, seriously, I’m not, I really want to continue writing this, but I’ve hit a brick wall, of some sorts… Thanks for being a fan!
RandomHime: Well, not all Anime goes well with vampires, unless you throw it into an alternate universe. That’s why I like Kirei and Cecilla’s fanfic on naruto.adultfanfiction.net called ‘Of Sacrifices and Love’, it’s not an AU, it’s still in ninja time, but she’s managed to incorporate vampires into it. Thanks for being a fan.
fLcL_FFx_lovr: I tried to write more, and thanks for being a fan!
Loveless101: Love that Anime, well, anyway. Thanks for being a fan. I tried to update soon, but my schedule and my burned out brain wouldn’t allow for it. I’ll try better next time, promise!
tasukis_gecko: Thanks for the criticism; I’ll try to summarize what’s least important and only focus on what’s the most important. Thanks for being a fan!
Ok, you’re probably tired of me saying ‘Thanks for being a fan’, several hundred times, right? Well, you really didn’t need to read every single one of them, but since you did, that just proves that you either A) Like my story or B) Wanted to see if I’d actually include every. I did. Don’t worry.
Well, Ja ne!
Sakura let out a startled scream, and she turned around, her pen ready to be used as a weapon. When she noticed it was Sasuke, she sighed in relief and stopped her MP3 player. “Sasuke, you scared the living daylights out of me!” She exclaimed as she put her headphones on the table.
“Yes, well, if I had knocked you wouldn’t have heard me. I know you, your ears are going to be in ruins by the time you’re 20.” He said in a half laughing voice.
“Ha ha. Well, I know what you’re here for. I can tell just by looking at your skin. You look sick, and you should have gotten here sooner. How much over-due are you?” She asked as she offered her wrist to him.
“About two hours. I’ve been helping Naruto with his homework. It took an hour for each subject, but at least I was having better luck than Neji.” He then walked over to Sakura. “Now, I know you know this, but I feel obligated ((Big word ^.^)) to tell you. This will sting momentarily.”
((Now, if you don’t like blood, skip the text until you see another OOC part…))
Sasuke’s canines lengthened as he got closer. They were not deadly sharp, and indented his lower lip slightly. He saw Sakura nod and he grabbed her arm.
Careful not to puncture the vein too much, for fear of ruining her vein, he bit shallowly into her arm. Blood welled up immediately after and he put his parted lips over the injury. Her wrist wouldn’t stop bleeding until he applied pressure to the inside of her arm, just before the injury, and used his saliva to heal up the wound.
Sakura had winced slightly at first, but then she ignored the slight stinging. When Sasuke’s mouth descended on her wrist, those soft lips made her forget about the pain. She noticed that as he drank her blood, his skin slowly returned back to its normal color.
Finally, Sasuke put his thumb to her arm and applied pressure to the vein, slowing the blood flow. He licked the wound once, making sure that his saliva entered it, and kept his mouth over it for a few more seconds, making sure that the remaining blood was gone.
He raised his head again and licked the rest of the blood off from around his mouth. His canine teeth retracted and he looked at Sakura. ((You’re good!)) “Are you ok? I didn’t take too much, did I?”
She shook her head. “I’ll be fine, a bit woozy, but some rest, green veggies, and a day off from school tomorrow and I’ll be back to normal! Now then, who got him? You, or Neji?”
Sasuke blushed slightly. “I did. Neji said that I knew Naruto longer than he did, and that I know him better, so he gave up. Though, he did threaten me. He said he’ll kill me in the most painful way imaginable.”
Sakura still couldn’t get over the fact that Sasuke, Neji, and Naruto were all three gay. The best looking boys in school, though Sasuke still ranked number one, and they were gay. Oh well, she’d just get some one else. Maybe Lee would do.
She smiled and clapped him on the back. “Way to go Sasuke! You got him in the end. Ino probably won’t be too happy about this, though…” She said the last as if it were an after thought.
Sasuke winced at the mention of the girl’s name. She was one of the worst people when it came to his fan club. By far the most adamant member, she refused to believe that Sasuke didn’t like her. That one-day when they were sitting in a circle was the only day that she was civil around him.
“So, do you plan on turning him?” Sakura’s tone of voice suddenly got really serious. She didn’t want any harm to come to Naruto, but she knew what Sasuke had to do if their relationship got that far.
Sasuke tensed up visibly. “I don’t want to, trust you me, but if I have to, I will.” Basic words for saying, ‘I’m most likely going to do so because my family would make me any way.’ Sasuke just hoped that he could inform Naruto before their first blood exchange, and let him decide before he had to decide for him.
Sakura nodded, but then smiled. “Well, if any one, I’d bet that you’d be the best person to make Naruto happy. Also, Naruto would be best to make you happy. I don’t think that there could be a better pair.”
Ok, Sasuke just had to say this. “Except you and Lee.” Lee had been chasing after Sakura for quite some time now, and no matter how many times he was shot down, he kept on asking. Eventually Sakura would say ‘yes’ just to get him to quit asking her. Of course, this got Sakura instantly mad.
“Sasuke Uchiha, you take that back!” The pink haired girl yelled as loud as she dared to at her friend. She just received a smirk and a shake of the head before Sasuke did a back flip, flying out the window. As he left the window he turned so he could face her and waved, falling backwards.
No matter how many times the Uchiha did this, Sakura’s heart would beat 200 miles an hour and she’d rush to the window, only to see Sasuke running away into the darkness. She sighed in relief when she saw that her dark haired friend was all right. Really, if he died in her back yard, there’d be a lot of questions!
Sakura sighed and decided that she, most likely, wouldn’t be able to get any more studying done, and if she did, that it would be a miracle. So, she turned off the light by her doorway, and then she turned on a lamp in the corner. After closing her shades she changed into a nightgown and crawled under the covers.
Sakura mentally cheered as the former crush of her life had gotten whom he loved. She knew that Naruto would make Sasuke very happy. There was no real doubt about it. Sakura just hoped that Sasuke could make Naruto happy.
Sighing, she rolled over, blocking her thoughts from her mind. She finally was able to fall asleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~
Naruto woke to his alarm clock, which he didn’t remember setting, and stretched. “Looks like I’m going to be on time for once…” He mumbled, as he got dressed. Naruto decided to wear a pair of light blue jeans and an orange t-shirt. He wouldn’t wear anything fancy today, he was sure the others wouldn’t as well, well, maybe Ino would.
He rushed to the kitchen to see Iruka and Kakashi already up. Iruka was currently making breakfast, pancakes from the smell, and Kakashi was sipping coffee, looking extremely tired.
“Um, sorry about last night. Uh…” He trailed of as Iruka and Kakashi both looked at him.
“No need to worry about it, Naruto.” Kakashi mumbled, going back to his coffee. “Yeah, Naruto. It was one of your dreams, you couldn’t stop it or decided when to have it, now, could you?”
Naruto smiled and sat down at the table. “What are you making, Iruka?” Naruto asked as he poked at the table some.
“Blue berry pancakes and banana pancakes. Which do you want?” He asked as he started to mix up some more batter. Iruka hadn’t planned on Naruto going to school first thing, or wanting what he was cooking. Normally he’d eat Ramen instead of normal breakfast food, or grab a piece of toast on his way out.
“Banana, if you’ve got strawberry syrup.” He said in his too-cheerful-for-morning voice. Naruto heard Kakashi sigh and he looked up from the spot on the table he was staring at.
“Naruto, keep your tone down, its morning, and I’m going to end up getting a head ach.” Kakashi complained as Naruto frowned. “Fine, Kakashi-sensei.”
Iruka then walked over to the table with a giant plate covered in blueberry and banana pancakes. “Dig in.” He said and watched as Naruto grabbed five or so pancakes at once off the plate and smothered them in the strawberry syrup that was already on the table.
Breakfast was eaten in peace and quite, and Naruto rushed to his room to get his backpack full of his homework that he had some how managed to do. Man, Sasuke was a miracle worker. He managed to teach every thing to Naruto that they had learned while the boy was out. Maybe Naruto should quite school and have Sasuke home school him. This thought had crossed Naruto’s mind several times.
When he was finally done with packing his backpack up, he ran out of the house and towards the school. Iruka and Kakashi lived near the school, so Naruto didn’t need to worry about being late, but still, his teachers had left a while ago, so he had to be a little bit faster, right?
While halfway to the school and familiar person decided to show up next to him. Sakura lived on the same street as Kakashi and Iruka, so she walked to school a little later than normal.
“Hey, Naruto! I hear from Sasuke that you’re going out with him. Is that true?” She asked and Naruto’s face brightened.
“I, um, well, I, uh, um….” He floundered for words while pointing in several directions at once. Sakura just smiled a knowing smile.
“Oh, Naruto, I know that you’re going out with him. I just wanted to ask you to see how you’d react. I heard that you weren’t at school because you were afraid of facing Sasuke and Neji. Man, Naruto, you’re a wimp. Did you know that?” Sakura teased him while poking him in the stomach.
“Sakuraaaaa!” He said in a whining voice. “You’re not me, so how can you say such cruel things? I was confused. I could barely think, as it is, what do you think I would have done if a teacher called on me in the middle of class? I wouldn’t have been able to answer any of their questions.” Naruto groaned, knowing that his lack of sleep last night would get to him later on.
Sakura giggled and noticed that they reached the school. “You’d better wait for Sasuke. He’d like to see you this morning. Maybe get in a kiss?” She laughed as she ran away from a raging Naruto.
Almost as soon as she disappeared, Sasuke materialized behind Naruto, placing a hand on his shoulder. “Hey, Naruto. What are you up to this morning?” Only Naruto knew that Sasuke putting his hand on his shoulder was a way for the Uchiha to touch Naruto.
“Nothing much, Sasuke. What about you?” He asked in his hyper voice, anger gone.
“Oh, I’m looking for my boyfriend.” He grinned before leaning down and kissing Naruto on the mouth in front of every one that was out of the grounds. Everything was silent while Sasuke kissed Naruto and pulled away from a slightly surprised and confused blonde boy.
“Sasuke, that’s no fair!” Called one of the girls from the crowds. “Yeah, I’ve been giving you chocolate every year on Valentines Day and you choose him over us? Naruto’s a boy!” The crowd of angry girls just got bigger, each girl stating their annoyance at the situation.
Sasuke just shrugged, grabbed Naruto’s hand, and tugged him into the school to their lockers. When they reached their lockers Naruto was a bright red color, people were staring at them, and Sasuke was glaring at every one around them. “Sasuke, why’d you do that?” Naruto mumbled as he pushed his afternoon class books into his locker.
“I love you, Naruto. Why else would I kiss you?” Sasuke asked as he pulled out his next period class textbook. He closed his locker and looked at a teary-eyed blonde.
“Sasuke! Now every one is going to hate me!” More than they do! He didn’t add that last bit since Sasuke already knew that he was thinking it.
Sasuke smiled a warm smile and put an arm around Naruto’s shoulder, steering the boy to his next class. “It’s alright, Naruto. I promise. If any one gives you any trouble today, tell me. I’ll make sure to kick their asses.” Naruto nodded and rested his head on Sasuke’s shoulder.
Naruto could tell that it would be a long day.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~
Ok, um… Sorry for the shortness of this chapter. I’m tired, I’ve got a slight case of writer’s block, and my will to do much more than sleep is slipping away…
To my reviewers:
I’m super happy that you’ve reviewed, and so, I’m going to try to comment on your reviews!
Tress: Thanks; I’m trying to fix all of the bugs. Also, thanks for being a fan!
Kikilo Lea: Thanks; I hope you continue to read. I feel honored that you’ve changed your mind about vampire fanfics because of my story. Thanks for being a fan!
DragonKeeperMihiru: I made it SasuNaru because I adore those two together. I know, I’m cruel; my parents still have yet to figure that out. Well, I’m not trying to be cruel, seriously, I’m not, I really want to continue writing this, but I’ve hit a brick wall, of some sorts… Thanks for being a fan!
RandomHime: Well, not all Anime goes well with vampires, unless you throw it into an alternate universe. That’s why I like Kirei and Cecilla’s fanfic on naruto.adultfanfiction.net called ‘Of Sacrifices and Love’, it’s not an AU, it’s still in ninja time, but she’s managed to incorporate vampires into it. Thanks for being a fan.
fLcL_FFx_lovr: I tried to write more, and thanks for being a fan!
Loveless101: Love that Anime, well, anyway. Thanks for being a fan. I tried to update soon, but my schedule and my burned out brain wouldn’t allow for it. I’ll try better next time, promise!
tasukis_gecko: Thanks for the criticism; I’ll try to summarize what’s least important and only focus on what’s the most important. Thanks for being a fan!
Ok, you’re probably tired of me saying ‘Thanks for being a fan’, several hundred times, right? Well, you really didn’t need to read every single one of them, but since you did, that just proves that you either A) Like my story or B) Wanted to see if I’d actually include every. I did. Don’t worry.
Well, Ja ne!
