Mistress Yami:

I haven't seen very far into the Naruto episodes. Only until where Sasuke leaves and as I'm writing this I haven't seen it recently so forgive me for character butcherment and if some small event is wrong!
Anyway!
Here is chapter two which is technically a part of chapter 1 `cause they're both sorta prologue pieces but meh! You'll live… I hope. ( And leave reviews)

Ja!

Chapter 2- Obsession

Itachi leaned back in his chair, a casual frown on his face. In his right hand he was turning over a kunai, watching the light that reflected from it on the wall. His eyes seemed to dull a bit as he watched the light play on the wall, if he concentrated he could see it take shapes. Many of them transforming into something that reminded him of his little brother… and Konoha. All which he had left behind long ago and wished not to be reminded of.

His black eyes flashed as the sharingan appeared in blood red, reflecting the kills he had made throughout his surprisingly short life. Compared to all the other people in the Akatsuki and those around him he was shockingly young and what he had achieved in his even younger days had marked him eternally powerful. Single handedly slaying the entire Uchiha clan and getting away with it was something to be awed. His hand twitched as he heard his brothers voice, who was growing steadily stronger through the years, ring in his ears.

“Uchiha Itachi”

The resentment that had dripped from his voice wasn't surprising but nothing had really prepared him for it. He could still ,even as he glared at him with those hateful eyes, see the young boy that admired his brother without question standing before him. Now that he thought back to it he could almost feel some deeper emotion moving within him but immediately squashed it, deciding it had been his imagination. Nonetheless the scenes played one.

“The Sharingan… And he's very similar to you. Who is he?” Kisame questioned as he glanced between the brothers.

“My little brother.” Itachi said as the boy they were trying to capture stared at them in shock.

“I heard the entire Uchiha clan was killed… by you,” Kisame continued.

“Uchiha Itachi… I'm going to kill you!” His brother growled behind him, but even so Itachi could see the hateful face staring at his back.

Itachi turned around as Sasuke continued to speak, “Like you said… I hated you, detested you…And just to kill you, I've… I've survived!”

Now thinking about it he couldn't but help feel a small sting somewhere in his cold heart at the words. Admittedly he had been the one to first speak those words but it still amazed him that even though he hated him, and he assumed sensible people would try to do the opposite of what they're murdering brother told them, that Sasuke did exactly as he had been told. A smirk appeared on Itachi's usually sullen face. He still had even after all these years complete control over his little brother.

Itachi watched as his brother powered up a new move. Chidori? “I'm going to kill you!”

Itachi's hand twitched. He could still feel Sasuke's hand in his. A moment of familiarity before he snapped the boy's wrist. He could still feel the bones crumbling beneath his hands. As the memories began to grow more vivid Itachi closed his eyes, forcing them out of his mind but as he opened them again and stared at the wall where the relfection from the small candle light was still dancing he couldn't help but see his little brother in the shadows.

Frowning he flicked his wrist, the kunai slipping from his fingers neatly and flying at the wall, imbedding itself to the hilt. Just then the door opened to reveal what many referred to as `Itachi's sidekick' for he was clearly weaker than the boy wonder and he did have a … tendency to follow Itachi's orders.

“Hmmm? What's this?” he asked, the light from the hall passing by him so that it illuminated Itachi's legs and the top of his head.

Itachi turned his red eyes towards Kisame, daring him to test him today. Although they said, and it was true, that Kisame was weaker than Itachi he didn't let the man's gruff and cold nature get to him. In fact he seemed to thrive off of it. The two had a strange relationship, Itachi needing to be the most powerful, dominant no matter what and Kisame enjoyed testing Itachi. It was almost as if he loved to gamble with his life.

“Thinking about something?” he continued, knowing oh too well what had been plaguing his `comrades' mind for the past few weeks.

Whether Itachi would admit to it or not there was always something different about his eyes whenever he would be thinking about his past, especially when he was thinking about his brother. Kisame knew more than anyone, even more than Itachi himself, how much the boy really meant to him. True Itachi had been creating himself the perfect adversary, as well as a living, walking reminder of his guilt, but Kisame didn't think that's all he had truly wanted of his brother. Men like Itachi seemed like enigma's, killer's who had snapped and their motives undecipherable, but `living' with Itachi had helped Kisame figure out pretty much all of the little things that were oh so obvious if you knew what to look for.

`This is what happens when you chicken out against your feelings,' Kisame thought amused. Although what amused him even more was Itachi completely denying the fact that Sasuke was nothing more than a tool and that he had enjoyed murdering his entire family and letting Sasuke wander around in the day.

“Or maybe someone?” he prodded again, almost smirking as he saw the slightest twitch in Itachi's eyes, something no normal person could ever detect… but Kisame wasn't just any person.

“I'm warning you.”

Kisame chuckled and closed the door, enjoying the fact that he could get under Itachi's skin so childishly easily. It was his own fault. He shouldn't have denied it in the first place. In an attempt to aggravate him more he walked to the far side of the room where he knew the curtains to be and drew them aside, ruining the `dark' and `ominous' feeling the room had possessed before.

He turned back to Itachi and noticed the sharp deathly glare that he was sending in his direction. A glare that would've sent anyone else running. He smirked and glanced at the kunai in the wall.

“You were thinking of him. You had your chance.”

Itachi mentally tore Kisame to pieces before standing up, almost throwing the chair back. It aggravated him that Kisame was able to affect him like this but it aggravated him even more that he showed it so easily. Although this didn't happen with any other subjects only when his brother was mentioned. Briefly he thought that maybe there was some truth behind Kisame's words but he immediately dismissed it. Sasuke was a tool to further his strength and nothing else.

Although… he had to admit he as curious as to how Sasuke had developed after having been in Orochimaru's clutches. He had heard rumors about his strength but wasn't sure if he could believe them. After all the only comparison that really mattered was of him and Sasuke. Anyone else wasn't worth mentioning. Itachi walked to the door and pulled it open, almost slamming it behind as he head Kisame begin to chuckle once more to himself. Itachi failed to see the humor in the situation.

Then again… he also had to admit that his brother had been his most recent obsession ever since they saw each other again. The resemble that he still had to his child hood self was uncanny and the fact that he was still obsessed with him even though it was only through hate he was nonetheless still completely captivated by him. Sasuke had grown stronger, surprisingly so and he had at some point, at least in his dreams, felt a small remorse for demolishing his brothers mind as he had. But that wasn't any of his business anymore. Until Sasuke could evenly face off with him he wasn't of any concern so why was he occupying the older Uchiha's mind so deeply?

Another disturbing dream floated into his head and he tried to banish it as soon as it came but was unsuccessful. In fact now as he walked it seemed somewhat pleasant even. Itachi cursed and threw his fist into the wall, creating a large crack. He pulled his hand back out, chips falling to the ground and frowned. Kisame would find a way to tease him about it later. He did wonder on the occasion if Kisame truly wanted to die.

Deciding not to linger on the matter anymore he opened the next door to the empty, indoors training room they had. The walls were sound and shock proof so one could do alone practice, as long as no doomsday jutsu's were used, without being bothered.

Itachi walked to the center of the room and closed his eyes his brother appearing before him again.

Mistress Yami:
Weird place to end it but meh. Get over it.
I hope I didn't butcher him too bad.
But I do like to think of Kisame as the more teasing daring type while still being submissive.
Sorry in advance for character butcherment!
