A/N: You probably noticed this here before but there was too many grammar mistakes for my taste so I took it off edited it and added WAY more too it than there was before so enjoy.

I'm going to give a little background info but not to much on my character Maya talk about where she came from and her clan lightly so you aren't left in the dark...

Maya Ikimono
[Ikimono = living thing, animal]

Maya is from waterfall country where she lived in a small village near the border to Waterfall and Fire country. Her family was part of a small clan of healers that lived just outside the village walls. All the children within the clan were expected to reach a certain level in healing ability before the age of eleven.

Maya showed no talent in healing and showed no signs of improvement. Disowning ones child was very common within the clan and Maya was no exception. At eleven she was forced to leave her clan. She moved not that far from the clan household, in order to train her self to heal so her family could be proud again.

Her skills were improving as she practiced on animals she started on things that were small and injured, such as birds with broken wings. Over time she moved on up into bigger animals. She'd look up their body structure and heal the animal according to the research she conducted.

Some of her family would come and visit her and check up on how she is doing. Some of the other small children from her clan that were not disowned like she would come once in a while. Mostly her mother though, she would always tell her how proud she was of Maya.

Maya in the story now is 15 so...that's all I'm going to say for now so I hope you like it.
I'll get into a description of what she looks like later on in the story for now use your imaginations.

A/N: It's going to take a while to actually get the story going so please be patient this is a story that's going to work slowly. I'm going to try to go with as much detail as possible but try not to rush things, for the characters.

Maya's P.O.V.

I kept running no matter how bad the pain in my chest demanded rest, I knew was past the border I stopped and looked around and sat down and tried to get the screams out of my head, I had no choice but to leave. That's what mother told me to do though right?


*Flashback*

"Mom what's wrong? Was my food bad?" I tried to hide the sadness from my eyes and ache in my voice. I felt like I was disappointing everyone again. I hung my head low trying to hide the tears from escaping.

"No no no, Maya your food was delicious, it's just..." Her eyes falling from mine in what seemed like thought.

"Just what?" I was feeling slightly impatient.

"Maya I want you to leave the village" she looked at me with warmth in her eyes, but her voice held a serious tone.

"But why?" I said trying not to let the tears fall from my eyes.

"It's not safe here anymore,” she said as she was extending her arm to put a hand on my cheek I leaned into it feeling the closeness of mothers hand.

"Where would I go?" I was trying to gain control over my emotions, but I could feel it slipping away.

"To Fire country, it's not that far from here...I want you to be safe and live like a child should. I love you. I always did and I always will" Mother took a breath and closed her eyes as she tried to come up with a plan with what she thought was happening.

"We don't have that much time,” she said quietly assessing the situation at hand. She searched her pocket and handed me a small scroll.

"Don't open it until your completely safe, and out of harms way" Mother said getting up and walking over to the door. As she turned around to say her final good byes. I watched as the tears fell from my mother's cheek, "Go now Maya".

I got up and put the scroll in my bag threw it around my shoulder as I was readying to leave. I put my arms around mother in a hug that we could flood our emotions out on, when it felt like it was time I whispered "I love you" then I was off without a second thought. I ran through the village and when I entered the forest leading to the border. I heard screams and explosions; I started to run faster than I ever thought possible.

*End Flashback*


I rested in a hidden area incase of danger. I needed to regain my chakra before sprinting once again. 'I hope that my family made it out okay.' I stared at the cuts and bruises I had received nothing too serious, I was crying while I was running. I was clumsy and wasn't watching where I was going.

During my rest and checked if the scroll my mother had given me was still in tact. I pulled it from my bag and looked at my clans symbol. Memories of my family and friends rushed back into my mind. The memory of my mother and her last words too me 'Don't open it until your completely safe, and out of harms way'. I remembered mother saying so, I looked around to see if the coast was clear. As I was about to open the scroll I heard someone walking my way, I hid in my spot masking my chakra as mother had taught me to and put the scroll back in the bag.

Two men were coming toward where I was hiding, but I couldn't get a good look at them without being seen. All I saw was that they were both wearing the same long cloak. It was black and had what looked like red clouds on them.

"What was the point of torching that village?" one of the men finally said, causing the other man to stop and speak to him.

"It was said that they had something we needed, but they didn't so we had to get rid of the evidence. Which in this case the whole village was evidence,” the other man said turning around possibly looking for nearby enemies.

I caught a glance at his headband all I saw was that it had a big scratch on it, 'Does that mean he's a missing-nin? If he is that mean the other one is too. If that's the case if they catch me I'm toast.' I thought laying back in my hiding spot hoping that they would just leave already.

"What exactly did we need?" he asked taking a couple of steps forward to continue on their way

The other looked at my hiding spot and didn't bother answering his friends question. He walked toward it slowly examining it. His arm stretched out in my location and my breath hitched trying to keep calm. I knew my chakra was going fast, so masking it was getting harder and harder.

"Itachi?" he was walking over to his friend

"Reveal yourself" was all 'Itachi' had said pointing in my direction in a low voice

'Maybe he wasn't talking to me and someone was next to me and that's who he wants to get up'. Maya looked to her side no one was there. 'So much for that theory'.

"Reveal yourself" he said slightly louder

I was frozen where I was, my legs would not move from me sprinting to get this far. Nor did I want to die I can die sitting here or in front of them. I couldn't figure out which one would be worse.

"Kisame..." Itachi had said referring to his friend. Kisame nodded and walked out to my location, he grabbed my hair roughly and picked me up. He held me so my feet weren't even touching the ground.

Tears sprung from my eyes from the pain of being yanked out of my spot, it felt like the skin on my head was coming off little by little. The searing pain was making me feel so numb, it felt like I was falling apart. The tears kept falling until I felt the ground underneath me. I was shaking uncontrollably because of the pain that was going to through my body. I started rubbing my head so I could get the feeling back into my skull. My eyes closed trying to prevent anymore tears from forming. When I finally opened my eyes, they were met by red ones and I realized. That Itachi was right in front of me, I stiffened and caught my breath.

"What are we going to do with you?" Itachi said dangerously close to my face. I inched away from him in fear.

He grabbed my arm to prevent me from going any farther; I looked at his arm, as his grip grew tighter around my arm. I could hear my bones cracking slightly at his vice grip.

He pulled me up roughly as I tried to pull away, but to no avail.

"Please..." I don't want to die not here not now.

"Why don't we just kill the skirt" Kisame piped up bored.

"No! Please don't I'll do anything...Please just don't...kill me" The last part was hard to say my voice was slightly betraying me, Itachi turned to face his friend.

"Go on ahead I want to have some fun" Kisame just nodded to his friend and started walking away.

Now that Kisame was gone, Itachi turned to face me again red blank eyes meeting brown scared ones that were streaming with new tears. 'What is he going to do to me?' I said frantically in my head thinking of all the different ways he could torture me.

"What... are you... going to do... to me?" My sentences were being broken up because of my sobs.

"Are you afraid of me?" I was scared to even speak so I just did a slight nod.

He let go of my arm and I rubbed it to soothe the pain, which was shooting up and down it. Itachi started walking toward me and I'd walk back subconsciously, until I couldn't anymore. He put his arm on the tree that stood behind me so I won't run. I stopped crying at this point, I was more worried about death.

"If you obey me this won't be so bad" He took his other hand and lifted my chin to look up at him more clearly, but instead I looked away.

"Look at me" he said whispering and yet it still had an authoritive tone to it.

I did as I was told and looked at him, he still had his blank bored expression his hand left my chin but I held my head in place. He turned my head slightly and leaned down near my neck, he licked it sending shivers down my spine. 'What the hell is this guy doing?' I had my hands clenched into fists to try and stop my body from reacting.

"You like that?" His breath touched my neck and gave me goose bumps.

"Is that what you get your kicks from!" He lifted his face to look at me, before he could say anything. I spit in his face;' at this point I don't even care I know what is to come so why not fight back.' "You sick fuck!" I was now glaring at him.

He wiped my spit off his face with his free hand and glared down at me "I like it when you fight back...it makes it more fun" He smirked.

I looked at him in disgust, as his hand rubbed down the side of my body as if he was feeling every curve that my body had to offer. I tried to pull away from his hand but his other hand kept me from doing so. He looked at my uncomfortable state and leaned down to my neck, he licked a small portion of my neck and then bit hard and latched onto it. I arched my back in pain and felt the stinging sensation go throughout my body. When the pain subsided I realized he was rubbing the inside of my thigh, 'I didn't even notice he lifted my skirt!'

He started trailing kisses up my neck until he neared my lips; he pulled away and opened his eyes to look at me. His eyes are black now and filled with lust. He was breathing deep but barely inaudible, as he leaned down toward my lips. I tried to retreat but it was too late his lips have touched mine.

It was rough and forceful; his tongue grazed my bottom lip asking for entrance, which was denied. He pulled back and flashed his red eyes at me and I knew what that meant. He leaned back down and attacked my lips again more roughly than the first and I allowed him the access he wanted. He plunged his tongue into my mouth; his tongue grazed every inch of the inside of my mouth. He didn't taste like anything, which it odd. I realized that his hand got higher and his actually between my thighs grazing my clothed sex with his fingers.

I felt so disgusting letting him touch me like this, I tried to turn away from the kiss but he removed his hand from my sex and grabbed my face. Holding it making sure I didn't move, he took a step forward not breaking the kiss and rubbed his hard length on my leg. I tried not to gasp at what I felt, 'He's going to rape me and then kill me'. The tears started to threaten to fall, until he pulled away from the bruising kiss and looked at me. He pulled a kunai out and brought it to his lips and licked the edge of the blade, cutting his tongue in the process. He brought it near my neck.

"Pain is something that I have learned to become numb too. Something that stops you from getting stronger..." he turned the kunai in a swift movement and cut one of the straps to my dress cutting the skin there along with it. I winced in pain; I felt the blood going down my arm.

He leaned down a licked part of the trail of my blood. "mmm watching someone else in pain...now that's entertaining".

He licked his lips as he raised his face and leaned down and kissed me it was gentle yet forceful at the same time. I could taste our mingling blood in his mouth as it slowly poured into mine.

I was trying not to worry too much about my wound; I was just trying not to give him the satisfaction he wants. He took the kunai and started grazing the blade on my leg, pushing the blade slightly harder on my skin and pulling it away. Which made me hiss involuntarily at the new wound, he did the same on my other leg but made the process much longer than it had to be. 'I don't know how much more of this I can take'.

He lifted his head and looked at me "There's something missing".

He lifted the kunai dangerously close to my face I turned my face slightly and he cut my cheek "Ah that's better". I tried to move away but all I did was make him move closer to me, his erection still apparent. 'I can't take this anymore'.

I pushed him away just enough for me to get through, I ran as fast as I could hoping there was someone nearby that can help me... but there was no one. He grabbed me and threw me against the nearest tree.

"How dare you!" anger apparent in his voice. He looked at me with his red eyes, he lifted his hand that held a kunai up to my neck and said slowly.

"I could kill you now if I wanted to". I closed my eyes tightly preparing for what was to come.

Itachi pulled the kunai back and took a step back away from me, still holding me in place. I opened my eyes looking at his, his red eyes but they were different, but I can't put my finger on it. I felt sleepy all of a sudden, but was broken out when I heard growling. Itachi had looked away to see a huge white dog looking at him and growling with his fur up, three people walked out to behind the dog.

On the left was a female with long dark hair but very light eyes but the sides of her face were rather veined as she said quietly "Byakugan". On the right was a boy he was wearing what looked like a black trench coat covering his face with a hooded jacket over it, I could see what looked like sunglasses. The last one in the middle had spiky brown hair and red triangles going down underneath both of his eyes, he was snarling just like the dog in front of them.

"Let her go!" the one in the middle shouted.

Itachi just looked at them, and then looked at me. He leaned down and kissed me roughly. His eyes kept looking into mine, I couldn't tear my gaze away from his. I was getting very light headed I had my hands on his chest trying to push him away. He was not budging, I felt like I was getting weaker. I heard the dog growling louder, "Akamaru go!" The dog ran toward Itachi and bit him successfully until it poofed into a log.

I tried to get everything to stop spinning but I just couldn't. 'What's happening to me?' The three figures started running toward me until everything went blurry and then dark.

Kiba's P.O.V.

Hinata rushed over to the girl and started to try and heal her wounds, she looked around and stated.

"There are no chakra signatures around except for us" with that said she deactivated her Byakugan, and focused her attention on the girl in her lap.

"Hinata...What's wrong with her? Is she going to be okay?" looking with the girls head in Hinata's lap.

"All I could do was ease her pain somewhat...we have to bring her back to Konoha hospital for better treatment". Hinata noticed a piece of the girls' hair in her eyes, and decided to brush it away. Then continued to try to ease the girls pain away with the glow of white chakra over her head and cuts.

"I don't know...what do you say Shino?" Kiba asked their team leader

"Tsunade would prefer to hear this girls tale, seeing as she was seen with an Akatsuki member. She must know something to our advantage". Shino said turning away from his team.

"B-But what about the mission?" Hinata said looking at their leaders back.

"Hinata it's only a C-class Mission someone else can do it. Plus this seems more important." Akamaru came to my side; I rubbed his head and said "nice job earlier". So only the he can hear it, he wagged his tail in happiness.

"H-How are we to travel with her?" fidgeting with her fingers and looking at the ground

"I got it covered, just go catch up with Shino. We'll see you in a bit." Hinata bowed quickly before running to join her other teammate.

I leaned over her body and picked her up and put her on my back. I pushed her up higher, so that way I was giving her a piggyback ride. 'At least she's not that heavy'. I looked over at my companion, "Come on Akamaru" I jumped up in the trees to run off after my teammates.

After about five minutes of sprinting I had finally caught up to them.

"In about a mile we should set up camp." Shino stated pushing his glasses up with a finger, Hinata and I nodded in confirmation.

'It is starting to get dark...I wonder when she's going to wake up' I looked over at the girl on my back. She looked like she was struggling. I could hear her grunting slightly I saw a thin sheet of sweat gracing her features slightly. 'What could be going on in that mind of hers'. When I looked forward I saw my teammates stopping and lowering to the forest floor. So I followed trying not to harm the girl any further, I landed with a soft thud, trying not to disturb the 'sleeping' girl on my back.

"Kiba you and Akamaru go find wood for a fire, I'm going to set up traps for nearby enemies. Hinata watch the girl and get things ready so we can eat." Everyone went off and did their tasks that were assigned to them. I placed the girl on the ground near Hinata so she could do her job.

After about half an hour of grazing the forest floor for firewood. I found a decent amount that should last for dinner "I think that should be enough" I returned back to the campsite with my companion next to me. I saw Shino finishing up what should be the last of the traps he was to put up. Hinata was cleaning up the girls wounds with some medicinal herb she carried around to prevent infection. She wrapped up her both cuts on her legs and shoulder with gauze and put a Band-Aid on the cut on her cheek.

I walked over after putting the wood down and started examining the damage to the girls' body. It seems as though the rough kisses Itachi were giving her had bruised up her lips and made them swollen.

No doubt the cuts were his doing also, 'How could he treat women like that?' I know I'm the last one to be talking but hey I grew out of that. It took someone close to me to tell me what I was doing wrong...


*Flashback*

I sat on a log off into the forest near Team eight's training ground, waiting for my teammates to arrive. I came rather early to see if I can see what I'm doing wrong, in my head.

I've been slapped more times than Naruto's been bonked on his head for saying or doing something stupid, and he holds the record for that. I just don't understand it!

"What am I doing wrong?" I asked out loud hoping that by doing show would shed light unto my situation. I wasn't aware that someone was around me and heard what I had said.

"D-Doing what wrong Kiba-kun?" Hinata said while walking into the area where I was seated at.

"Hinata, I didn't know you were there, I didn't sense you." A light blush spread through my cheeks for letting my guard down.

Hinata walked over to me and sat down, "Shino told me that training today is off... He got sent of on a mission" she started fidgeting with the bottom of her jacket.

"Oh thanks for coming to tell me." I turned to face her and smiled warmly at her, "I'll walk you home".

She bowed and whispered "Thank you Kiba-kun"

They walked alongside each other heading to the Hyuga Mansion, "Where's Akamaru?" She looked around looking for him.

"I left him home, my sister said she needed his help with something". I shrugged my shoulders not really caring. Then a awkward silence came between us as we continued walking.

"Ki-..." She started to say as she lowered her gaze to the floor.

"Yes, what is it Hinata?" I looked at her questioning her sudden shyness.

"What was wrong before? If it's private I understand". She looked at me with a small smile and then turned her gaze to in front of her.

I hesitated "I don't think you could help me with this problem..." he sighed and rubbed his head with a hint of embarrassment.

"You never know until you try..." I looked at Hinata as her eyes stayed forward clear on her destination.

Hinata has really grown over the years. Even though she still has her shy moments, she has moments where she's confident. I don't think she even realizes it herself sometimes, when she acts like that.

"I...can't get girls to like me...I tried just about everything." A heated deep blush came across my cheeks as I waited for Hinata to respond. She looked at the ground, not in shyness but in thought.

"So... What have you tried?" She asked, them both feeling the awkwardness seeping into the conversation but decided to ignore it.

"You could say, I've tried every line and move possible to get a girl to notice me but then she gets angry and hits me." I looked at the sky to clear my thoughts.

"Kiba-kun...you can't get girls to like you that way." Hinata giggled slightly, "When you do that you make them feel like a piece of meat on display".

I glanced at her at the corner of my eye. "Then how do I get them?"

Hinata looked over at me and said simply like it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Be yourself that way they feel just like a regular girl around you." She blushed a little and looked forward, "Thank you for walking me home Kiba-kun, I hope I helped with your problem somewhat" She bowed and walked into the gates of the Hyuga Mansion.

"Be myself?" I looked at the floor. 'Why didn't I think of that!'

*End Flashback*


"How is she coming along?" Pulling myself out of my thoughts. Hinata looked at me I could see worry hidden behind her white orbs.

"Her bruises are healing slowly...I've been numbing her pain but no matter how many times I do it..." her gaze fell from my face but continued speaking "She always seems like she's in more pain than before the treatment." Hinata looked so down about this girl's health, I know she wants to help her more but she has to wait before we get to Konoha and take her to the hospital.

"We should reach the Village by late afternoon tomorrow if we wake up early and stay on a set pace non-stop" Shino interjected, as he was building our fire.

"Kiba you think you can carry her all the way to the village or-"

"I can do it no problem" Shino nodded at his friend.

'I just hope we aren't too late'

Hinata got up to start to the food. Shino and I looked down to watch Hinata cook for us. After we were finally done eating, Hinata thought it'd be best if we try to feed the girl as well. She had to force the soup down the girl's throat she used her chakra to relax the muscles in her throat so the soup would slide down easier. After dinner Hinata cleaned up and put everything away, she looked up at me.

"We should start heading to bed" I nodded. I hadn't even realized that it had gotten dark that fast, but I didn't want to waste any time.

I picked up the girl and placed her in my sleeping bag. Akamaru laid down on her side to keep her warm while I laid down off to the side and drifted off into a nice slumber. Hoping tomorrow would turn out okay.
