Chapter 1
Her long black hair was laced with rain drops, making it sparkle like her ice-blue eyes. It poured over her shoulders and whiped back and forth when she danced. She wore a light blue spahgetti strap tank top and fish net arm warmers on both arms. She had a violet skirt that covered about half of her thighs and the normal blue shoes most people wear. Bandages covered her ankles and halfway up her calves, she also had it on her right hand. The way she danced made the bandages glow against the dark night sky and the outline of the trees. She danced to the music of a small harp, Naruto had no idea where it was coming from, but it was so angelic, so heavenly, it was as if he were dreaming. He waited for everything to fade into darkness and for him to wake to the sunlight shining through the shades in his bedroom. The music and dancing drew him forward he walked towards the girl who took no notice of him. Her dance was magical, it was as if the rain itself were dancing with her.
As he drew closer Naruto saw a boy a few feet away sitting under a tree. He was the one playing the harp. The boy had short spiky brown hair. He wore a black t-shirt with a white one under it. The white shirt's sleeves reached down to his elbows making it visible under the sleeves of the black shirt that only went halfway to his elbows. And grey shorts that covered half of his calves that they were so long. He had the same shoes as the girl. Both of them had the usual ninja gear and headbands. The girl's was from Kiri, Hidden Mist. She wore it around her waist. The boy's was from Konoha, Hidden Leaf. He wore it around his neck. The girl's body rolled like the ocean waves crashing onto the sandy shore. Sunddenly she caught sight of Naruto and stoped moving completley. Naruto froze as the girl and the rain stoped dancing. The boy looked up and saw Naruto, he stoped playing the harp now. Naruto looked into his lavender eyes, they reminded him of Hinata and Neji. Could he too, have the Byakugan? Naruto felt the girl's fist slam into his cheek. He yelled. It was only seconds before both of the guards woke and attacked the strangers. One of them, Kotetsu, grabbed both the girl's arms and then tied them behind her back. Then while he tied the girl's legs, Izumo, the other guard, put the boy in a head lock. When the boy tried to rebel Naruto punched him in the stomach quickly knocking him out. Then Izumo smacked the back of the girl's neck. She was also knocked out by a single strike.
Naruto and Izumo brought both the kids to the Hokage's office. Kotetsu stayed at the gate. When they entered Tsunade was shocked by what she saw. She didn't know how to react.
Two days had gone by and He hadn't heard much about the kids. He got so impatient he hid in the cieling of the hokage's office when he found it empty. He sat in the darkness and waited. Five minutes later Tsunade, Shizune, and Tonton entered the office. Naruto could hear Tsunade's voice loud and clear from the room below him."The girl has an interesting backround. But the boy doesn't settle right with me. If he is a Hyuuga, how come he wasn't living with his clan? More importantly he doesn't remember them. Shizune!"
"Yes, Lady Tsunade?" Shizune asked.
"Did you ask around the Hyuuga village?" Tsunade asked.
"Yes, Lady Tsunade." Shizune replied.
"Well?" Tsunade was growing impatiant. "Did they have anything on him?"
"No." Shizune was disapointed.
"I see." Tsunade's mind started to wander.
"Shall I go get Naruto?" Shizune asked.
"No, I will." Tsunade replied.
Naruto heard silence and used this time to try and find a solution to his problem. But suddenly the cieling tile he sat on gave way and he fell into the hokasge's office. Tsunade was standing right in front of him. "Ahahaha, you knew I was there didn't you?" Naruto said, rubbing the back of his sore head. Tsunade just sighed and turned back to her desk. Naruto sat in the chair oposite Tsunade's. For a few minutes they talked about the night the strangers were discovered.
About a mile across the village a boy sat in a jail cell with his friend. Both their arms were chained to a wall behind their backs. "You ready to get out of here Hikaru?" The girl said.
"Sure." Hikaru looked up. "Byakugan!" His eye veins tensed and he looked around. He saw the chakra flow of his friend. He saw the other prisoners. And about halfway down the cell block he saw two gaurds. "They're about three-hundred fifty meters right. All right Mai, you know what to do."
Izumo and Kotetsu walked down the hall of the prison when they saw a blast of snow and steam come from one of the cells. They rushed forward and were caught off gaurd by the scene. The entire cell was covered in ice and snow. It was the cell the two rouges were held in. One of them Hikaru Hyuuga, sat in the corner, frozen in suspended animation. The other, a mist nin, Mai Momochi, was gone. As kotetsu tried to smash the ice that held Hikaru, Izumo looked to the ceiling and caught his reflection in an icy mirror. Suddenly the reflection changed to Mai and Izumo gasped as her fist came out of the mirror and smashed him in the face. Kotetsu looked back and saw Izumo on the ground. He fell back against the iced wall. The reflection in the icey mirror above Izumo did not have his reflection, instead it was the missing prisoner Mai. Her reflection faded and a hand stuck out of the ice behind Kotetsu and covered his mouth. The hand pushed a small pill in between his lips and it dissolved on his tounge. The liquified drug ran down his throat and suddenly everything faded into the darkness of sleep.
Hikaru and Mai walked the dusty streets of Konoha. Mai's eyes darted from one face to another, not recognizing anyone. Yet. Then she noticed the day-glow orange suit of the blonde kid who got them caught three nights ago. They started walking faster and faster as he came closer, if he recognized them he might make a scene. Hikaru walked with his head down and eyes narrowed to slits. It was risky, but if he had them open, someone might notice his kekkei genkai. Then just as he feared he slammed into someone. It was another kid. The shock of the sudden obstical blocking his path made him throw his head up and his eyes open. Huge mistake. It was like looking in a mirror. Same hair color, same size, same weight. Same eyes. The kid was standing on a corner with a few others. One in a green jumpsuit, a fat one, one with the konoha flak jacket, and one with a small dog. The kid narrowed his eyes and said, "Who are you!" He was angry, perhaps because he thought Hikaru was an imposter.
"I'm leaving." Hikaru said simply.
"I'm not letting you leave until you answer me!" the kid was getting loud now.
Hikaru looked to Mai and she nodded. Then they both bolted. Mai slammed into the orange ninja from a few nights ago. "Hey your--" he began, but Hikaru and Mai didn't stay for the rest. They scaled the side of a large building. They jumped from roof to roof. When Mai looked back she saw that the orange ninja and the other five from before were following in persuit. Hikaru jumped down to the ground again, followed by Mai. They turned around and stopped running, now they would fight! The flak jacket kid threw two kunai at Mai. She ducked and grabbed one while it flew over her head. She threw it at the closest persuer. It was the boy with the white eyes. He doged and activated his byakugan. He tried to land a hit on her. But she doged every strike with ease. Watching his hands intensley she didn't see his leg smash into her side. He kicked her so hard she almost fell off the building. The white eyed boy charged at Hikaru.
Hikaru activated his byakugan and shouted, "Hakke Kuushou! Eight Divination Signs Air Palm!" He thrust his palm towards the white eyed boy, knocking him back into the orange ninja. They both fell to the floor, but got back up imediatley.
"Neji, what was that?" the orange ninja said.
"It's a byakugan move I am not familiar with, Naruto." Neji replied.
By this time Mai had gotten back up and was standing back to back with Hikaru. "We're surrounded, what do we do? Are we gonna kill 'em?" Mai whispered.
"No." Hikaru answered in a hush tone. "We may be rouges, but we're not criminals! Just knock 'em out. Unless they try to kill us, we won't go that far." Mai nodded and thought of who to attack next. Her eyes rested on the dog boy. She darted beside him, into a position that brought him into alignment with the fat kid.
She swung her fist at his head. And like she hoped, he jumped back. She quickly formed a few hand signs then yelled, "Teppoudama! Bullet!" Mai spit five large bullets of water at him. Dog boy jumped, but she didn't care, she wasn't aiming for him. The fat boy hadn't seen this coming. The water hit him dead on, every bullet. He was thrown off the roof of the building they were on and he hit then ground below, unconcious.
Naruto stared at Hikaru, then he made a cross with his hands and said, "Kage Bushin no Jutsu! Shadow Clone Technique!" Nineteen more Naruto's popped up. Eighteen of them charged forward and one started moving both his hands over the other one's palm.
Hikaru smiled. "Shadow clones? Are you for real?" Hikaru mocked the ninja. He quickly destroyed each clone using his Juuken, Gentle Fist fighting style. Through the smoke of the destroyed shadow clones Hikaru saw Naruto and the other clone. Now in Naruto's hand sat a ball of spinning chakra.
The clone disapeared and Naruto charged forward. He brought his hand back ready to slam the chakra into him. "Rasengan! Spiral Sphere!" Naruto tried to slam the chakra ball into Hikaru, but he managed to dodge. Barelly. He bent over backwards and poked at each tenketsu, disableing the chakra flow in Naruto's arm, thus eliminating his rasengan.
"Hakke Rokujuuyonshou! Eight Divination Signs, Palms of the Hand!" Hikaru shouted. He hit sixty-four of Naruto's tenketsu and then slammed his palm into Naruto's stomach. Naruto fell unconcious and Hikaru sighed, growing tired.
As Mai and Hikaru cornered the remaining two they were hit from behind. A short but powerful smack to the side of the head sent them plummeting off the roof. Mai was caught in a bear hug by an older ninja with bushy eyebrows. Hikaru was grabbed by a kunoichi in her about her twenties. He grabbed her arm and she released him, falling unconcious. "Kurenai!" Another ninja shouted from behind Hikaru. Hikaru felt a small blade slice into his back, not deep enough to kill him though. After that his mind went blank. On the other side of the building Mai stood over an unconcious jonin, facing the one that knocked her and Hikaru off the roof. This ninja had white spiky hair. She threw a kunai at him but when it hit he was revealed to be a substitution. The real one smacked the back of her neck, taking her out as well.
Dancing in the rain
A light rain fell on the village of Konoha. Naruto rushed to the Ichiraku ramen shop. He pushed back the hanging curtains and shook himself dry as he entered. He ordered his usual and sat at the counter, playing with his thumbs while Teuchi prepared his ramen. He made small talk with Ayame as he slurped down the warm noodles. He payed with an expired coupon, but Teuchi made an exception as Naruto was his best costumer. While Naruto hurried past the village gate he noticed the guards were asleep. He went to wake them up when he saw a younge girl about his age dancing in the rain. Her long black hair was laced with rain drops, making it sparkle like her ice-blue eyes. It poured over her shoulders and whiped back and forth when she danced. She wore a light blue spahgetti strap tank top and fish net arm warmers on both arms.
